Oro. Not a fan of either tbh but madara was just to bland for me. Not that hes a bad villian but his backstory just didn't do it for me. I didn't feel like his reasons for what he was going after were really that well thoughtout.

Oro atleast is the evil maniac looking to attain power at any cost. Not much better, but his plans and motives were more believable to me.

I never REALLY liked Orochimaru, but Madara went from a bad-ass to a complete troll I wanted to see die really fast. Orochimaru was more an unpleasant itch. BUT he did help towards winning the war and he was a bad-ass in his youth before he went crazy & AWOL.

Well Madara was more of a visionary, although not everyone shared his vision. On the other hand Orochimaru didn't want anything. He was crazy psycopath/pedophile!!! Oro was the true villain. I dont know why Kishimoto made him join the good side in the end!

Madara winning would have stuck him in a tree. Robbed him of free will. And he saw the end of his research in his aim for Sasuke and realised that both Kabuto and Madara both failed.
And even though Orochimaru was creepy in his plans with Sasuke, I doubt age had anything to do with it. Still wrong and REALLY creepy, but the Sharingan was his goal.

To be honest, both had sides to them that I dislike, namely Oro's obsession with Sasuke and Mads' something for Hashirama. At the same time, I liked both during certain stages (Edo Madara and Konoha Crush Oro). So, I think I actually like Madara more, but I'm not a huge fan of either. I prefer Pain and Masked Man.

honestly its hard to choose because those are my two favs. they both had great stories and complex reasons for becoming villains.

orochimaru was shown to be a good guy, caring even. he cried when dan died and it tore him up to see nawaki die and then have to present his body to tsunade. it drove him to hate human frailty and thus he decided to become immortal and he ended up becoming evil.

madara only ever wanted peace but after the loss of his brother something inside him broke and while hashirama tried to piece him back together tobirama and the uchiha turning on him despite his good intentions just pushed him away and he turned into the biggest badass ever.
