Orochimaru is a Sannin Ninja with many decades of experience over Itachi. And yet, he fell. As if he was a fodder ninja from outside the known cast.

You're telling me this "decades of experience over itachi" not apply to base jiraiya, hidan, kakuzu, tsunade, minato, hiruzen etc. what gives them this "benefit of doubt" to escape such genjutsu feats that orochimaru isn't allowed to get? so either, there is some strong bias against itachi in those debates or that akatsuki orochimaru just simply and severely overestimated itachi and sharingan:gen which the latter is my point.
