What's so great about Wood Style?

I don't know what's so great about it either. I think that this whole thing with the trees is actually quite dumb. It's something you should put in a fairy tail not a munguh.

This is not meant as a troll thread.

I honestly don't see what's so great about Hashirama's oh-so-reputable Wood Style. We have barely seen it in action (he caught Hiruzen who easily freed himself) and that's about it.

Oh sure Madara used it, but it's used by someone who has unlimited chakra and was created to be haxxed. I just don't see what's so terrifying about it...can't you just put them on fire or cut them down? Hashirama's tactics need some serious work:

"Oh no, my trees have been cut down! I know! I'll use MORE TREES!"

Idk why dont you ask Tsuande and Mei.

I don't think it was specifically wood style that the manga said was OP, it is a great kekkai genkai, and can suppress chakra which is totally useful... But i think specifically the feats of wood style were magnified by Hashiramas and Madaras crazy chakra levels making it appear to be unjustly overpowered

That's a great question. We have seen fragments of it that supposedly is only a fraction of it's real power.

It has quite a bit of hype backing it up though, so you could go by that.

It defeated an EMS user so it must be good for something. To be honest though, I think Hashirama has some other special ability that we have not seen yet.

Yeah I was having similar thoughts myself. As thehiddenshinobi stated in a thread recently: the Uchiha without the Sharingan are not OP. So maybe Wood Style would be less hyped if there were less powerful people with it.

Hashirama could defeat a formidible fire user with Mokuton despite having a major disadvantage, and he did it two on one.....he went up against the nine tailed fox too. That and he can heal his wounds without any handsigns like tsunade.
