Chakra enforced trees are far from weak you know. We saw how Tsunade was crushed by such a jutsu and we also witnessed what was needed (by Naruto) just to destroy the start up of Jukai Kouton. Mokuton was labelled as the most versatile among the Kekkei Genkai.

Have you ever been hit with a tree?
LMAO!

Flower Tree World - Puts the opponent to sleep
Creates Forest
Control Tailed Beast

Still a bit overrated, imo.

If wood was all Hashirama used to counter EMS Madara who had the full kyuubi and perfect susanoo then I too aint buyin Hashiramas greatness, I don't see anything map-changing about it. He must've had some super-duper jutsus we don't know about coz surely you can't block a bijuu-dama with just wood!!

I will list some things:

I can be a great defence, I can be a great offence, It can suppress your opponents with ease, It can overwhelm your opponent, you can turn parts of your body into wood and extend it, there is so much more.

Hashirama is the best with it and can do the most things.

xD YOUR SIG!

Hello everyone.

This is not meant as a troll thread.

I honestly don't see what's so great about Hashirama's oh-so-reputable Wood Style. We have barely seen it in action (he caught Hiruzen who easily freed himself) and that's about it.

Oh sure Madara used it, but it's used by someone who has unlimited chakra and was created to be haxxed. I just don't see what's so terrifying about it...can't you just put them on fire or cut them down? Hashirama's tactics need some serious work:

"Oh no, my trees have been cut down! I know! I'll use MORE TREES!"

It allows him to heal without seals.
He can screw people over with the pollen from the flower tree world.
When you cut or burn the tree's they just keep on growing.
Woodstyle can supress bijou chakra.
The clones can regenerate(i think).
You can use it to spy with (like zetsu and yamato do with spores for example).
I could probably list a bit more, woodstyle is really versatile.

It has an absurd amount of uses compared to most jutsu,k you have to look past destruction power and ask yourself what can jutsu's do both in and out of battle, it does everything from restrain ppl to recon.

Wood styles strength lies in it's sheer versatility allowing you to do way more than simple offense or defense. Wood clones are more durable than average and can have recon information directly absorbed from them, it can build houses, and suppress and even control tailed beast, and flower world is just OP.

Wood style allows a ninja to be more than a frontline fighter where as most other elements are simply tools to attack with.

  • You can create Mokuton Bunshin. The difference between those and all the other clones is, that you create those clones by using your own cells. The result are durable Bunshins with a body that can take similar damage to a human and doesn't disappear when being hit once.
  • You are able to fully control Bijus and suppress the Biju in a very Jinchuriki.
  • You are able to cover the entry landscape with a forest. By doing this, you are changing the battlefield into your own large advantage. You can control the whole tree world in order to crush and bind your opponents, let Mokuton Bunshins arise from the trees and melt yourself with them (the trees are making up the whole surroundings). Further the pollen of the tree world are paralyzing an every individual who is inhaling them. Look at the tree world Madara created (Hashirama can do this according to Tsunade, too), a single tendril is at least as wide as a level two Susanoo with legs and runs among thousands of other tendrils across the whole landscape. Already the creation of a tree world, even of a weaker one like the has an amazing destructive force and would crush anyone who will be in its way.
  • Further it gives you a lot of other benefits, you can create houses and other buildings, doing other stuff like creating keys for doors (like Yamato demonstrated in Orochimarus hideout), etc. You can crate whole villages by creating houses, trees and using your earth and water release on top which are a part of the wood release.

Not without reason Kishimoto called the Mokuton most versatile technique in his databook.
