What makes Hinata the most popular female character from Naruto

Recent days I was searching Internet looking for Naruto characters popularity. I noticed that overall Naruto, and Kakashi are extremely popular .

Now when it comes to females its true that none of them comes even close to male characters in terms of popularity.Regarding females character one always comes on top. Its Hinata Hyuga.

Her fanbase is the biggest while in general she is easily the most liked female.

Tsunade and Sakura also has decent fanbase but Sakura is overshadowed by the amount of haters she has both in Japan and West . Sakura , Danzo, Orochimaru (sometimes even Sasuke) are the most hated overall.

Ino comes at third and she doesn´t get much hate like Sakura

I didn´t know much about Japan situation but even there she is on the top by the most polls.

-In Shueisha polls regarding Hinata or Sakura , Hinata come on top while Sakura was also voted to be the most hated character.

- Animage polls revealed that Hinata comes at first place with Sakura again being the most hated.

Yes basically. This is why she is liked. She seems more approachable compared to others. Sakura Ino Tenten are kind of like the shallow highschool chicks that guys think are cute but never really consider marrying.

Hinata is the kind of girl guys want to take home to meet mom is the vibe I'm getting.

Also the reasons why they love the men they do are different too.

When Sakura is asked why she is in love with Sasuke it seems rather shallow and materialistic. Not hating here. What I mean is her reasons are because he is Uchiha, popular, ruggedly handsome, a great fighter.

When you ask Hinata why she loves Naruto. The reasons you get are because he never gives up, he inspires her to be a better Ninja, and most importantly her actions. She was ready to die for him. These are qualities, however cliches in Shonen, are still admirable.

I personally just like Hinata because she is down to earth, she's not obnoxious and she's sweet. Sakura used to annoy me but as Shippuuden progressed, her character developed and now I enjoy her character. Hinata was and still is my favourite female character, even though she doesn't do anything significant in this series, I don't really mind. I used to really like Temari at the start cause she had a strong presence and she stood out from the crowd of swooning girls, but now she is my most hated character. Constantly negative and grumpy, might have something to do with the fact that Shikamaru is my favourite male character and I would have wished for him to have a nice wife, not literally what he always said he didn't want. Anyway, back to Hinata. I've noticed Hinata getting a lot of heat because she is just a housewife now, but that role was pretty much predestined for her since she was supposed to be a kind and loving companion for Naruto, which he deserves. I honestly have no complaints regarding Hinata, except her short hair now. Seriously Hinata, why?

I agree with this , I have same opinion . Also unique Gentle fist fighting style and Byakugan also helped in my case. ( my favorite dojutsu and fighting style )

Agreed. I honestly, however, would have liked to have seen her become a medical Ninja. I mean her entire demeanor lends to the very essence of a healer. Kind, nurturing, self sacrificing, unsure of themselves at times, etc

Well it's not hard to explain most people consider themselves a loser and nobody like Naruto. And they're always chasing the girls and then they want somebody chasing after them. So they like Hinata she represents the situation they want.

Tsunade and Mei have bigger boobs than her as well as equal or more screen time. Why aren't they as popular or popular than Hinata?
