If she was the main character of the series though she would have ended up like Orihime they share striking traits and both were poorly written, Kishimoto can't write females if you didn't be know y'all.

Characters like Mei, Tsunade, Ino, Sakura who are also very attractive aren't as popular due to the fact people like a female who doesn't talk to much or speak her mind, which is quite sad.

The authors both kishimoto and ikemoto both made her look bad throughout the series the least they could do was make her a standard mother especially with her being a only parent. Ino?
