If you're legitimately taking that post seriously then you need to reevaluate your stance on life.
My stance on life isn't wrong because you say so. Are you going to answer my question or not?

No, it really doesn't. It's really as simple as
"If there are more of us, there'd be less of this, if "this" and the other "this" gets too low, we're all dead."
When lives don't simply increase by a simple +1 +1, but instead more of x.87, resources die quick, and
competition becomes tough.

Tough competition defeats the purpose of breeding, since you're only creating more competition.
That isn't a long term solution, a true solution would be to look for ways to maximize our current resources, to be resourceful. The problem of overpopulation only exist in our current world and societies. Coping is not the same as thriving, we should do the latter.

You can't thrive without resources ;)

There isn't one, nor does there need to be.

What is the reason for it? It doesn't benefit society or humans as a whole. Heterosexuality does benefit society and humans as a whole. So why do we accept homosexuality? There is no gain. Someone drop some knowledge on me. :eek:uttahere:

*I am not against homosexuality.

comming late to the party, but I still wanted to chip in.

have you heard of evolution?

Fair enough answer.

It goes against evolution(In my opinion). They don't directly pass their traits on to others thus they don't effect evolution in that aspect. That's what this thread is about. Perhaps they have a immunity that runs in their family and is lost since they are homosexual.

I don't know, I'm gay so this thread seems invalid to me and I should not participate.

All I know is that being gay is not a choice and never will be unless the person has issues of some sort that makes them believe they are one or the other.

There's no "gay gene." So it's not a biological factor that supports evolution. It's more of a product of environment that we nurtured by our own volition.
So there's no real "reason" in regards to species prosperity, it's just a part of Human (and some animal) culture. But, if you need a reason, 'population control' as others stated, sounds good lol.

There's no "straight gene" either.

LoL true. But, i think reproduction through heterosexual intercourse more than compensates for lack of suggestive genealogy... In terms of evolutionary support for heterosexualitie's purpose.

...but if neither are genetic according to you, then heterosexuality would have to be enviromental as well, right?

Oh, you're saying the different cultures, which are usually signified by skin colors, would
clash? People can't be separated forever, and there's a start for everything.
:bdpf:
The more cultures people are exposed to the more accepting they are,
best to start young and early bb. ;)

NO one of those cultures has to be swallowed up via assimilation or eternal restlessness. Notice blacks and whites have lived together for generations in America sharing territory and it's been constant bloodshed and racial tensions.
