What is the reason for it? It doesn't benefit society or humans as a whole. Heterosexuality does benefit society and humans as a whole. So why do we accept homosexuality? There is no gain. Someone drop some knowledge on me. :eek:uttahere:

*I am not against homosexuality.

Because homosexuality isn't a choice. And we shouldn't judge someone differently because of their preferences.

What is the reason for it in other animals? You do realise it's not just humans who are gay? About 1 in 10 Rams will only mate with other Rams and totally ignore sheep. What benefit does it have? Who knows but sheep/Rams have not died out so what's the harm?

What is the reason for a blowjob? It does not benefit humans as a whole so are you going to try to outlaw it?

I never said it was a choice, but what is the evolutionary reason for it? Evolutionary population control?

Why do we accept Heterosexuality which breed bigots and people who will have a detrimental effect to our society.

So aggressive.

I never stated only humans are homosexual. What is the evolutionary reason for homosexuality.

Because that's what they are there for. Reproduction, regardless of what they are producing. Homosexuality doesn't produce anything but love(If you understand my meaning), a human concept that has nothing to do with evolution.

It sounds like you do not understand evolution. It's not like every single part of every single creature needs to have a positive effect in some way for evolution to allow it. What is the benefit for the human wisdom teeth? There is no benefit, it's just a relic from our ape ancestors... But as it does not get in the way of us surviving the trait is carried on along with everything that does work.

But what do humans exist for(unless you believe in floaty man in the sky)? To reproduce.

Majority of the shit people do doesn't benefit society so I don't see why we should start questioning this. The reasoning is that it doesn't harm anyone and makes people happy. I don't like it but eh, what am I gonna do?

Nature is not perfect, in fact it's very random. If this is not some type of population control, consider it one of nature's many flaws. That's what I would say from an atheist's point of view.

That's pretty much the only answer to the question. Fair enough.

I believe homosexuality is a mental condition. Just a theory for now.

Some heterosexual females and males can't have babies or reproduce... So saying they "benefit" society weakens your argument.

People are looking for excuses for homosexuals to not engage in one another when they are other factors that "benefit" society like adoption or sperm donor.

Why do we accept homosexuality? It is because we are all human and all complicated beings.

Researchers from the University of Portsmouth in England have put forth a controversial new theory. They say homosexuality evolved in humans and other primates because it helps us form bonds with one another.
“From an evolutionary perspective, we tend to think of sexual behavior as a means to an end for reproduction," Dr. Diana Fleischman, an evolutionary psychologist at the university and one of the researchers, said in a written statement. "However, because sexual behavior is intimate and pleasurable, it is also used in many species, including non-human primates, to help form and maintain social bonds. We can all see this in romantic couples who bond by engaging in sexual behavior even when reproduction is not possible."

imo, homosexuality, is a choice influenced by the "forbidden pleasure" concept, just like incest, bestiality and just like having *** for fun instead of love, its the idea of getting more satisfaction out of something because it isnt the norm. I even believe that some people talk them selves into being gay because they aren't yet experienced enough in life to determine the difference between ego, who they want to be, and who they are. Its like that hand thing from when we were kids, atleast in america, someone would say show me your nails and if you showed them the back of your hand theyd say you were gay, if you showed them the palm you were straight, obviously that holds no real influence over your orientation, but a naive child might convince him self it does, and the same with two lesbians raising a lesbian daughter. Regardless of what people say, human beings have a influence over other human beings. So overall, i believe being gay is a choice or even a misinterpretation of ones own thoughts, its not that they were "born that way". and as for the religion aspect, if it really is a sin, its only a sin in the same way as having *** with someone other than your wife is a sin, the sin of choosing pleasure. as for how homosexuality helps, i dont really see how it could, if anything it will only decrease our population over time, and create a situation where children wont get the same guidance as they use to.

P.S i dont have anything against people making there own choices, do you, just dont try to convince me you were born that way.

Well I find it funny how you are bringing up evolution and then complain about "white privellage" bad police. Supporting the phrase "black lives matter" if we add evolution to this we should say oh well survival of the fittest.

What do we exist for? What on earth makes you think we need a reason to exist? If we all died out tomorrow the universe would not notice. Humans are still here because enough of them have *** in a way that makes children yes but there are many things we do that does not make children and yet we are still here.

Condoms, oral ***, abortion and homosexuality have been around for a long time and yet our population growth is getting faster not slower.

That doesn't make sense. It would make more sense if you turned bisexual because in a survival point of view homosexuality is a disadvantage. Also what does it mean by "sexual behavior a means to an end for reproduction".

I wouldn't be opposed to saying it's a mental condition, but I don't think it is.

I do agree though, I'm not saying homosexuals are completely different from heterosexuals so that probably came out wrong(hence the hostility). I mean it from the eyes of someone looking through an evolutionary scope. Why would two men or women get together other than for reasons of human construct(IE; Love and financial stability)? The question can also be used against heterosexuality in saying what is the reason for marriage other than for reasons of human construct?

Population Control . Basic Rights .

Why accept something if it doesn't benefit us . Thats a shitty way of thinking imo . Besides, I can name countless things we live with today , aren't living people and are in no way beneficial, but we still live with without saying anything .

homosexuality has been around for a longtime , but in no way is it the same as it is now, people in high or low positions might have had *** with young boys or others of there age and ***. but they also had wives and children, homosexuality was done in the back round, now there are couples and no second familys. gay people rasing children to be gay and saying they were born that way. sso there is a difference.
