There is no "what if". The obvious difference between these are written on the walls.
Science is truth, truth that you actually see with your 5 senses. Religion is obviosly an act of instict and it is specifically developed in the human mind. The purpose of why is not really important.

That was a dumb question. It doesn't disprove evolution nor does it mean that Richard Dawkins isn't expert in biology. He didn't know the interviewers were creationist so he wasn't expecting a dumb question like that.

It's apparently know dumb to want examples of mutations adding info into the genome when that is the basis of how one explains how a single cell turned into humans.

Lol evolution doesn't work that way. The time window for these changes is 10 000 of years if even that.
Species don't just evolve into another species over the course of one night. That's why it's a dumb question.
I'm not going to explain you the significanse of a scientific study. You wouldn't be able to appreciate it.
But yeah I'm not saying all religious people are dumb. My comment above generalised a bit too much. But the girl in the video was dumb for not realizing the difference between science and religion.
It was not a surprise since with religion and faith you don't think for yourself that much anmore. You outsource your thinking and morals to a book and to a made up third party.It dulls your brain. It's dangerous.

Evolution is a massive process that covers much more than a pathetically short, human-lifetime. We can't sit down and observe evolution like a cigarette that's burning down in ones hand.
