I dont understand this thread.

If anything, Sakura's character is getting more interesting lately.
She showed determination in the land of Iron and she is among the
important medics in the war. A possible Sage mode, animal summonings
and genjutsus are on the horizon.
She had some moments in the Chikara episodes.

So why would being a Sakura fan suck right now, compared to before?

Kishi designed Sakura in the intention having a more Human relatable factor. I bet alot people can relate to being picked on, but I doubt very many people can relate to having their entire family killed.

And who cares about having trauma in their life, does that make Sakura's a horrible person. "Omg you parents didn't get killed when you were younger, your a horrible person" You say that, you must include Shikamaru, Tenten, Choji, Shino, Kiba, Rock Lee, and ext, they must be all crappy people too because they didn't have tramtic childhood.

Sakura has taken on the burden of pain that Naruto feels, she's doing the best she can to support him, being his healer, never doubting or giving up on him.

And Hinata dealing with a cruel world on the level of Naruto and Sasuke, now thats funny. Hinata being dismissed by her father as loser was of her own doing, her inability to over come her self-confidence issues created her problems but she still had a family unlike Naruto and Sasuke. Hinata's sister turned out just fine, the question is why couldn't Hinata?. Naruto and Sasuke, their problems steem fromm outside forces, things that weren't in their control.

Hmm, in all honesty- maybe it's just the fandom that makes it suck to be a Sakura fan at this point. Because everywhere it's Sakura-bashing, and then I try to read the manga and hope she'll have some big redeeming moment.... you know, show everybody up. That fight with Sasori? Heck yes! Healing Naruto when he went four-tails, yay! Freeze up while trying to kill Sasuke? Crud. Doesn't jump in to save Naruto from Pein? Ugh. Still pining over Sasuke when another ninja pretty much asked her out? Auuuugh. Sorry but when I read that, it just reminded me of a battered woman (I've got firsthand experience here)... because of a few moments, the woman will slog through an abusive (physically, emotionally, whatever) relationship as she clings to those few good pieces. She will justify beyond reason why he's not a bad guy, that he's really a good guy deep down.... sorry, just the fact she was still thinking of him when he would have KILLED HER in cold blood, and the only reason she is alive is because Naruto saved her? Makes me wanna bash my face in my keyboard and groan. But I like my face so I'll just groan.

The other thing that bugs me is this; and please, point out if I'm wrong, I'd love to be told otherwise on this. However, the last time Sakura knew for sure that she was slipping far enough behind her teammates to be a burden... or nearly one, at least... she had her redemption there in the Forest of Death. She didn't win that fight, but she proved a lot of growth there. And then again in her fight with Ino, and even with Gaara. This time, she realizes how far behind she's slipping and while it may not be intended as such, her line "All that's left for me... is to believe in them!" almost sounds like giving up. I understand she may just mean as far as what Naruto and Sasuke do and their relationship is, however, it sounds like giving up on pushing her development as a kunoichi.

Yet, with a year left in the series, I'm hoping for a badass redemption from her on par with Tsunade's fight with Orochimaru, where Tsunade not only got over her moping (thanks to Naruto), she did so with a blaze and did some SERIOUS damage.

And then became Hokage, of course.

Really isn't that hard to understand there's no character development from this scene and the same scene in Part One during the Chunin Exams in that forest.

Sakura is a medic ninja and according to war rules they are the last to jump into a fight so I dont know why u ppl are asking for her head . The only person that can bring out of her shell sasuke so until them enjoy her applying ointment and bandage to the wounded.

it shouldnt suck. we should keep hope that he has something big planned out for her and shes not going to die easily in this war, at least with naruto and kakashi around she wont. it sucks that he hasnt powerhoused her like some Temari or Hinata but she is the human aspect of the anime and she has truly had grand development thats not as noticeable. I have done some research into these kishi hinata biased interviews and i read on a few different translation websites that those interviews were wrong...like the one about forgetting about sakura and saying hinata was a better heroine than her. he likes his pink haired ninja, i think she is going to do something very big..it just might not show til the NaruSasu fight.

I seriously think Kishi is out to get Sakura. If someone who has never read or watched naruto before saw this chapter they would think

Hinata is the heroine and Sakura a side character. I really hope Sakura gets some development or powerups because right now this is just

sad. Then again he could just be purposely forgetting about her to later give her a big development. I geese I will wait and see...:crazy:
