I remember when Kakashi did something similar....during the chunnin exams, when he sealed the cursed seal of Orochimaru in Sasuke, after Sasuke defeated that sound ninja, Orochimaru appeared before Kakashi and he vowed to kill Orochimaru even if it means dying with him....when Orochimaru left, Kakashi asked himself if he was mad to say that.
He actually was serious trying to take on the juubi, but the fact is.....HE CAN'T.

Kakashi was just bluffing to atract Obito and settle their battle when noone will interfere, talk with him or
Kakashi just acted of desperation to put all his bets on Kamui to work against juubi or at least he would think that is better to try all possibilities even if Kamui failed then die knowing that he still has one possibility to try =D

Why wouldn't Kakashi's Kamui work on Juubi ?

Reasons:

• Juubi could regenerate itself or any lost part of it's body(including head) absorbing nature from surrondings around it - TAILED BEASTS CAN'T DIE and Juubi IS THE MOST POWERFULL ONE
• Juubi is origin of sharingan powers, so it could use Kamui or something simmiliar to neglect Kakashi's Kamui or come back from Kamui world
• Juubi is Pregnitor of Shinobi World(God), who should have counters to dimennsion attacks.
• Juubi's chakra is too potent for Kamui to work on it.
• Madara's wasn't even worried by Kakashi try of Kamui when Kakashi was going to use it against Juubi

Try coming back from that.

However even If Kakashi warp Juubi whole somehow Juubi would come back itself back(God owned by his own abiltiies, impossible, Juubi is origin of sharingan powers)

My point is Kakashi can't solo Juubi, disable or stop temporary ? yes maybe even kill it temporary but Juubi could still regenerate/ressurect just few seconds later(nature chakra)

If Kakashi was able to send Juubi to another dimenssion, destroying threat for Shinobi Alliance then Kishi would do that...

Good points , but I think that even wihtout Obito being present , Juubi could neglect kamui's effect, come back from another dimenssion, regenerate itself...=D or break from Space Time Walls spliting Obito's dimenssion and Real world by sheer power (As Buu did in DBZ if you watched )

It's plausible to think that the strongest creature would nullify Kamui, but there's no way of knowing. With the recent chapter I do believe the Juubi could regenerate since it regrew a missing arm.

Too be completely honest... In my "professional" POV Kakashi was DEAD Serious...

Think about this in a literary perspective, through the eyes of kishi...
Although the juubi is almighty the Kamui is an Extravagant ability...which was in some cases toned down a bit in the manga for plot convenience. Kakashi gets trolled allot in the manga for he is borderline OP however Kishi never express it through his actions, but uses dialogue to express kakashi's strength.

EX: Pein "I Must take caution in approaching you Kakashi" - (Prior to Knowing the effects of kamui) Rather than getting his head kamuied off, he talks of kakashi in high caliber.

A second thing to take in consideration is that It shows Kakashi gained a spike In ability...This is very important because opening the battle against obito... Kakashi was depicted as < Obito. Now that Kishi is planning on having the two battle One on one...he has to express his spike in ability. His confidence in One hitting the Juubi.


Now regarding Kamui I don't See why The juubi cannot get kamuied... Is not like Kamui Blows the enemy up, It simply warps it into an alternate universe.
