Actually, your statement that Kakashi would have killed himself is the one lacking in any proof. My opinion is backed with one of the manga characters' statement while yours is based on the fact that Kakashi seems to be desperate.

I'm not sure if he would be able to do this, but that's what I go with, since for now, there are no reasons to think otherwise (other than "he looks desperate" or "but it's juubi") =D

"Defeat" is not a good word, I think, because we don't know if he wanted to warp Juubi's head or whole Juubi.

But we know he was ready to kill Gedo Mazo and then again, in the recent chapter, try to do something to Juubi that would be able to stop it.

Kakashi was just bluffing to atract Obito and settle their battle when noone will interfere, talk with him or
Kakashi just acted of desperation to put all his bets on Kamui to work against juubi or at least he would think that is better to try all possibilities even if Kamui failed then die knowing that he still has one possibility to try =D

Why wouldn't Kakashi's Kamui work on Juubi ?

Reasons:

• Juubi could regenerate itself or any lost part of it's body(including head) absorbing nature from surrondings around it - TAILED BEASTS CAN'T DIE and Juubi IS THE MOST POWERFULL ONE
• Juubi is origin of sharingan powers, so it could use Kamui or something simmiliar to neglect Kakashi's Kamui or come back from Kamui world
• Juubi is Pregnitor of Shinobi World(God), who should have counters to dimennsion attacks.
• Juubi's chakra is too potent for Kamui to work on it.
• Madara's wasn't even worried by Kakashi try of Kamui when Kakashi was going to use it against Juubi

- regenerate it's head after absorbing nature energy from surrondings
- make it's head back and then reattach it to rest of body

This sounds plausible but not in hell as you said before that Kakashi could own Juubi O_O

Kakashi would only stop it temporary or force it to stop it's attack and buy Shinobi Alliance some time for retreat or create new strategy, that it=D

I'm not even sure if Kakashi's statement about making Juubi vanish was spoken aloud or if it was only his thought. If the latter, then I highly doubt it was a lure, after all there would be a high chance of Obito not noticing it before it was too late.

And if that was just a thought, I think this is also the reason Madara didn't react in any way - because it wasn't expected and before he managed to react, Obito already intercepted Kakashi.

Maybe it will be explained (or maybe not xd). Let's wait and see.

As I said previously, the suicide attack thing is a theory. You are straight-up wrong :')

If Kakashi could just straightup kamui the 10 tails then this war wouldn't be necessary. Kakashi would save the world, be elected Hokage immediately and the 10 tails would be a pushover if that would happen.

Kishimoto would obviously disagree with you, why introduce this actual god creature if it can be solo'd by just one jounin?

I remember when Kakashi did something similar....during the chunnin exams, when he sealed the cursed seal of Orochimaru in Sasuke, after Sasuke defeated that sound ninja, Orochimaru appeared before Kakashi and he vowed to kill Orochimaru even if it means dying with him....when Orochimaru left, Kakashi asked himself if he was mad to say that.
He actually was serious trying to take on the juubi, but the fact is.....HE CAN'T.
