Great point, whats also more disingenuous is the people criticizing these black players about them protesting are the same people who complain about free speech violations and campus safe spaces. Yet when these athletes want to exercise their basic American right they are angry. Many black americans also fought and died and bled for this country and they deserve to leave in a country where there is equal treatment according to the law.
Why should they not have the right to exercise their constitutional rights on any day they chose? It may be wrong to you and i but why not?
Why would you not have done it? Blacks also fought and died for america and they serve in the military they deserve to live in a country where they are treated equally.
Unless someone makes a stand and say enough is enough nothing will change, one person can change a room and if it can change a room it can change a state and if it can change a state it can change the country. Imagine if rosa parks said that her refusing to stand-up when asked to get up from her seat wouldn't change anything. Change takes time but as martin luther king said the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice.
Punks for exercising their constitutional rights to demand equal treatment for blacks? But let me guess those who call the president of the united states a muslim and deny he is an american citizen are not punks right?
