Kishi develops them as equals so I could see that, but I personally think it's a *** pull though. I don't mind Sasuke's character, prefer him when he's evil, but he hasn't shown much to make me say that he belongs with current Naruto. EMS is over hyped IMO.

Considering the arguments being made and how Kishi makes them out to be, the best answer I would say is that they will be relative/rough equals in a sense.
