Underneath his cape, Vincent's attire is black with several straps and buckles and pointed sabatons on his feet. He also wears a golden gauntlet on his left arm

Dark and brooding over his past "sins", Vincent carries many burdens and secrets. Despite his cold personality, he is not uncaring. Vincent is reluctant to speak, although when he does, he typically has something important to say.

Background Info.
History:
Vincent Valentine started his life during the warring states era, long before hashirama and madara unified their clans and brought the village system to be, at the age of twenty, he started to master the arts of senjutsu and becoming one with nature, after a few years, he achieved a mastery over natural energy, to the point he no longer aged and gained the ability to take the form of living things around him.
After years of solitude learning his arts, vincent traveled the world during one of its darkest and most violent eras, upon seeing the catastrophic damage mankind was doing to itself, and nature, vincent became highly misanthropic, and eventually decided, he would find a way to halt mankinds destruction of nature and one another. This lead him to form the valentine family.
Tanabata Ichizoku, Modern Day Valentine Family is a group of people with origins as old as Land of Rain itself. They started during the warring states era as a group of vigilantes eventually controlling street level crimes in all of land of rain. Despite being criminals Valentine’s Family had great love for their own, upon creation of Amegakure and Hanzo’s government. Land of Rain was invaded from all sides and forced to be a Warzone. Tanabata Ichizoku took control of areas and forced people to provide protection money, which was actually a front to keep populated areas away from war, others wouldn’t invade areas already knee deep crises especially when they’ve enemies to fight. Hanzo more than anyone else realized the purpose was to keep peace, although it meant him eventually losing power. This was still opportunity for him maintain his focus at the war.
Tanabata Ichizoku would later come to financially support the Akatsuki, forcing Hanzo’s hands to make an alliance with Danzo. The fall of Akatsuki also meant the fall of Tanabata, later upon Akatsuki’s possession of Amegakure the Tanabata, now known as Valentine Family regained power. Having a share in its aristocracy, with their department being the underworld. Minimizing crime in the Land of rain and raising it to cause economic problems in other countries.
About twenty five to thirty years before Naruto's birth, Vincent was a member of the Hidden Sky Village's "Department of Administrative Research" on a mission for the clan to try and bring down this corrupt and destructive village however he fell in love with a shinobi named Lucrecia Crescent, an assistant to the sky villages lord. When he discovered her link to his deceased father, Grimoire Valentine, Lucrecia distanced herself from Vincent, ultimately entering a relationship with her associate, Hojo, instead. Lucrecia became pregnant afterward.
Outraged, Vincent confronted Hojo in the Hidden Sky's medical centre and a heated argument ensued. Hojo ended it with treachery, stabbing Vincent in the chest. He proceeded to use Vincent's half-dead body as the subject for experiments. The experiments were a failure. Vincent, though still living, remained in a death-like state.
As a last resort to rehabilitate him, Lucrecia infused her own chakra into his broken-down body. The procedure worked, however, Vincent was completely uncontrollable, in a berserk rage he hunted down Hojo and was only stopped when Lucrecia intervened and drugged Vincent. Vincent later awakened on the operating table and responded to his body with both anguish and rage.
Believing himself responsible for Lucrecia's illness after Sephiroth's birth, Vincent locked himself inside a coffin in the basement of the facility to atone for his "sins". He constantly relived his "nightmare" as a punishment for his inability to stop Lucrecia from submitting to Hojo.
Eventually, Vincent was awakened by a Trespasser named Dan who was searching the coffins for female bodies to collect for his personal "use". Upon finding Vincent alive a short fight ensued ending in a stalemate as they were both forced to run from the dreaded "Dr Mouse"
Upon escaping the clutches of Dr Mouse Vincent and Dan Became allies, reforming Dans band of Pervy Pirates and set off to Plunder the world of gold, women and porn ( Yard had an amazing collection by the end of the voyages ) though wherever they went Dr Mouse was never far behind ( Nor were Ali's flames... What can I say? He likes burning peoples Asses.. )
Eventually Dr Mouse managed to capture Dan and Vincent by sneaking on board the ship during Faust's turn on lookout duty ( Faust was busy smoking a large humanoid plant, who Dan later confirmed to be Emp, while being pushed around on his wheelchair by the duck mafia (his nickname for the pet ducks he likes to keep).
Dr Mouse dragged the two men back to his lair where they would undoubtedly be subjugated to horrific torture, had he not been too eager to get the two back without covering is tracks. Luckily for the pair, one of the crew had followed Dr mouse to the lair and just as he was about to begin his "fun" with the two, he flashed out of the darkness brandishing a sword and Dr Mouse's severed "Tail" dropped to the floor. Using the villian's distraction, Vincent, Dan and Zenryoku escaped the lair and returned to the ship.
