I've never heard that Tsunade was useless and I dont think she is. But Sakura I do believe is useless because she hasnt done ANYTHING this whole damn series (both part 1 & 2) except for cry, whine, and bitch about how she only holds Naruto and Sasuke back. The only thing USEFUL she has done was defeat Sasori, but thats it, and before anyone says anything about how she tried to stop Sasuke, even then she only held a kunai to him and then went back to crying and bitching while Naruto saved her sorry ass...

you cant say that shes a healer and that is a very importsnt part of the team and konoha and she healed many injuries

Sakura didnt become a medical ninja till the second half of the series. But before that she really didnt do anything thas overly important on missions. Other than stand next to people and try and defend them while they were getting attacked or the rest of her team were in battle.
Not sure why Tusnade is lumped in with Sakura, other than shes in a comma for a while.

I don't know why you would put Tsunade in the same category as Sakura but oh well. What I don't understand is why Sakura was allowed to participate in the first chunin exam (other than the fact that they had to participte as a team) she had no techniques whatsoever except clones. Sasuke had sharingan, Naruto had shadow clones even Ino who is her rival had mind transfer I mean what if she was pitted against garra insted of Ino he would literally crush her in a second she had no speed no strenght and no techniques what was kakashi thinking. Now I guess she's a little better being medical ninja but besides her strenght still NO TECHNIQUES.

look at the other Hokage's, now look at Tsunade. people say she's useless because, when compared to the other Hokage's, she's nothing. she healed the village, the first MADE the village! she can flick people in the forhead and send them flying, the fourth is fast enough to Rasengan Madara in the back of the head before he can warp out of it! she summons a giant slug, the third summons a badass monkey with a staff that can be manipulated into different forms, and used to beat the crap out of people! she trained under the third with Orochimaru and Jiraiya, the second TRAINED the third, and five other people! people think she's useless because of who she's grouped with; they're made out to be awesome badass, and then she's some alcoholic gambler (DON'T DENY IT!) who got the job because Jiraiya didn't want it. she shouldn't even be Hokage, so the 'she's Hokage, so she can't be useless' argument is invalid!

sakura is a med nin..so she is helping out people, she did fought along chiyo vs sasori...dats not something to forget!!...
and tsunade is da last sanin..
she is hokage...and believe it or not da decision of letting sasuke live dis hole time, is da main reason hes still alive...another hokage would already disposed of sasuke as a missing nin like danzo did....
so dats why i think dat does 2 girls are important to da naruto manga story...

Sakura's important because of ONE fight? and being a med nin. as shown with the 'Medic Nin Division', there are a LOT of medic nin. and like i said before, Tsunade got title of Hokage by default; because Jiraiya didn't want it. the only thing she's added to the story, as you said, is keeping Sasuke alive. that's it.

chiyo said the only one better than her in poisons is tsunade, so there are only a few medical nin as skilled as tsunade, sakura, chiyo and kabuto and that IS important
i did kinda mean the present time of the manga, should have made that clear XD, cuz now she isnt useless
Without Saukura, I doubt Naruto would have got this far, but in the heat of the moment... I just don't see her do much. I mean, I would have expected Saukura to try to help him with Pain atleast when Naruto was down, but it ended up being Hinata.
Tsunade.... you don't really see her do much other than yell at people... even in that battle of the three great sages, where naruto ended up protecting Tsunade.

I don't think sakura was useless in part 2 as opposed to part 1. But if you notice in part 1 when team 7 was fighting zabuza and haku it may have seem like sakura was doing nothing besides guarding tazuna but that was her order from kakashi to guard tazuna. Also in the second part of the chuunin exam she actually tried to defend her team from the sound ninja after rock lee was incapacitated and she fought ino and it ended in a draw but i will admit it was a bad fight. When naruto and sasuke were charging at each other with the rasengan and the chidori she ran towards them to get them to stop not because she was useless as that hardly makes sense to the situation as what was she going to do run in the middle of it (I think she was trying to run in the middle but that was because she wanted them to stop and did not want them to kill each other) In part 2 she helped defeat Sasori of course and was even willing to charge at sasuke plus her abilities as a medical ninja and such puts her far from useless as being useless means that someone or something has no use and sakura's ability to heal is of essential use to the team and keeping them alive.

you cant say som1 is useless because they are not shown much that just means what they do doesent matter to the story atm, but iruka is a teacher and he teaches most of konoha future shinobi
