Sakura is not useless because she is a medical ninja who can save life, and Tsunade is not useless, because she is the Hokage and a medical ninja, who can save life too.

Well Tsunade is not useless.
Sakura, see my problem with her is the fact that she is always crying, seems to be lost all the time, is desperate for Sasuke, could care less about anyone else, gave up a friendship for a guy (Ino is guilty for that too, but in the flash back Sakura was the one who flat out ditched her), she dumped her problems on someone else, insecure, mean, ignorant, hopeless romantic in a bad way, she did not do anything for the most part until the time skip.
Now she is getting better, however. She still cannot win a fight on her own when it is against someone that counts, but at least she puts up a fight. I think she is trying to understand that the world does not surround around Sasuke, sometimes it is hard to tell. She is getting better, I give her that.

Sakura and Tsunade are not useless, however since there are so many characters in the series who are stronger and more useful, their usefulness gets overlooked
. For people comparing Tsunade to the previous Hokages then yes, she does seem a bit weak BUT that does not mean she's useless. She's a medical ninja, and yes there a lot of thise but she's probably one of the best.
For the people saying Sakura isn't as useful as Naruto or Sasuke, then yeah in part one that was pretty much true but in part 2 what has Sasuke done that's been useful? He just keeps doing things that are detrimental to Naruto and other people. Sakura took out Sasori (sure Chiyo helped her but she did do a lot in the end) and she's also a medical ninja who's helped Naruto recover from things a couple times.

There wasn't an option to pick either Tsunade or Sakura, so I had no idea which to pick.
Tsunade is not useless. She's a Sannin, after all.
Sakura, on the other hand, is. Most definitely is. If she were to disappear, the only person she'd affect is Naruto. And maybe Lee.
And possibly Tsunade.

Sasuke was usefull to Orochimaru at one point and is now useful to Madara.
He is also useful to Naruto because he makes Naruto stronger.

Tsunade is hella useful because she can heal an entire village and defend people fiercely with offensive medical ninjutsu and monstrous strength,plus she has katsuyu,whoever has summons are automatically useful in my book.
Sakura on the other hand would only be useful in our real world as a surgeon of some sort or construction worker lol......Sakura is only as useful as any of the other medical ninja.....She has no summons or offensive medical ninjutsu besides the strength.....In the world of Naruto Sakura is not really useful because they live in a world of strife and constant battles and sakura would just be a burden due to her emotions fears and love interests which rule her world, but have no place in the ninja world. Sure she can heal people but only as good as any other med-nin and the only thing that makes her unique among them is her strength.....when she starts healing masses of people at once then i'll start calling her useful.....when she becomes more combat oriented then i'll start calling her useful....when she doesn't let her emotions cloud her judgement over and over again then i'll call her useful.....but until then she is useless in the world of Naruto IMO.
Kakashi and other shinobi without medical jutsu are useful because they can protect their comrades without them getting harmed.Sakura is only useful once they get harmed and by then it may be too late.
