Psychology is a failed field? Then I wonder what the basis of your oh-so irrefutable and absolute opinions are. Probably from your own gut-feelings that are superior to hundreds if not thousands of researchers who work with empirical evidence on the subjects for decades, right?

Because it's a diverse field. While there are many who disagree, there are many more who agree, vastly so. The argument that a field of science is a failure because many disagree is a very stupid one, because every field of science have people who disagree.

If its so black and white if it is definitely not a mental illness? Even though there is possibly just as much evidence if not more considering biology that it is.
If we're not paying for their operations, I don't really see a problem with trans members serving. Their hormone creams/pills/injections wouldn't get anywhere near the cost of boner pills we currently pay for.

Because a mental illness is a condition that causes a certain amount of distress inherently. Meaning:
1. The has to cause disruption of the most necessary of day-to-day activities(e.g., someone with schizophrenia being unable to leave bed for days and get to work, feed themselves, maintain relationships, keep up hygiene, etc. because of their delusions)
2. The distress has to be caused by the condition itself. Back to schizophrenia, the distress is caused by the delusions. Outside factors, like societal attitudes towards a condition, do not meet this criteria. For example, a homosexual person killing themselves due to constant homophobia from relatives and peers causing depression doesn't make homosexuality a mental illness because the depression stems from outside reactions to the condition, not from the condition itself. Also note that "condition" here means state of being, not in the sense of a medical condition like a sickness or illness.
Being transgender meets neither of these criteria. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness, but isn't synonymous with being transgender because gender dysphoria refers to a transgender person being prevented by outside sources from representing themselves as the gender they identify as. All people with gender dysphoria are transgender, but not all people that are transgender have gender dysphoria at any given time.

I'm not going to repeat myself, but its impossible to fully change genders anyway so no matter what they will always have gender dysphoria if they dont drop the notion of them being a different gender, which many do.

I've already laid out all my arguments, i dont need to rehash myself unless im talking to a brick wall which seems to be the case.

Now even if you dont see high increase of other mental illnesses as dysfunctional the actual definition of "mental illness" varies from what you said to "Mental disorders comprise a broad range of problems, with different symptoms. However, they are generally characterized by some combination of abnormal thoughts, emotions, behaviour and relationships with others. " -WHO
or "n. Any of various conditions characterized by impairment of an individual's normal cognitive, emotional, or behavioral functioning, and caused by social, psychological, biochemical, genetic, or other factors, such as infection or head trauma. Also called emotional illness, mental disease, mental disorder."
Which if you use that definition, being transgender is undoubtedly a mental illness because they believe they are a different gender when they really aren't.
You don't need to rehash the arguments you've made before, but YOU'RE the one that brought up those arguments again. This conversation started from you saying psychology was a failed science, a BRAND NEW argument, and then YOU brought up those old arguments again when I responded. What a slow man you are.
This doesn't make it a failed science though. Psychology has still made leaps in understanding its field and being useful for it. Look up "failure in science" and practically every result is why failure in every science field is still needed.
Also, there goes another tangent. At first psychology is a failed field because there are many who disagree with transgender not being a mental illness. Now it's a failing field because many experiments fail reproducibility tests. Not only that, but you haven't even provided proof that the tests that failed to be reproduced apply to the topic of being transgender. Just shambles cobbled together for an "argument."

Except there's no research showing that being transgender is THE cause of these trends, as opposed to outside sources. Except there are transgenders who live without these trends being a part of their lives, hurting the argument that being transgender is the cause. Except that being transgender alone isn't enough to cause the distress levels needed to be classified as a mental illness
Except I never said you could. I doubt there's a single person today who would say a person can currently transition from male to female totally, hence why they're called transgenders, transsexuals, or Male-To-Female/Female-To-Male trans, whatever.
But pretty soon, they probably will be able to. This dude was born as a chick, and looks more like a man than hella men

And there's been breakthroughs in how to develop ovaries in men, so it's definitely possible within the not-so-distant future for full transitions to be possible.

However, they are generally characterized by some combination of abnormal thoughts, emotions, behaviour and relationships with others. " -WHO
From the DSM-V, the source you yourself referred to earlier: "a syndrome characterized by clinically significant disturbance in an individual's cognition, emotion regulation, or behavior that reflects a dysfunction in the psychological, biological, or developmental processes underlying mental functioning.”
Taken from the fact sheet of the WHO on mental disorders:"There are effective treatments for mental disorders and ways to alleviate the suffering caused by them." For something to be a mental disorder, according to WHO, it has to cause the suffering, which is as I said numerous times before about the distress needing to be inherent to the condition.
Also taken from the WHO: "Determinants of mental health and mental disorders include not only individual attributes such as the ability to manage one's thoughts, emotions, behaviours and interactions with others, but also social, cultural, economic, political and environmental factors such as national policies, social protection, standards of living, working conditions, and community support." This ties into what I said numerous times about the distress of mental disorders needing to interfere with daily activities.

Are they less suited than gang members? Because we currently let gang members enlist without a second look. I'd rather have someone fighting that is dedicated to the cause and you feel uncomfortable about then someone you're comfortable with who is more dedicated to their gang and themselves than the cause.
