[Shady Doctor]

This begins the beginning of the mission involving Buddha:

- Investigate the newly open rift (B/3?)

Buddha, still in his dragon form, would watch a bit longer as the child surveyed the surrounding area along with Buddha himself. Having his Tendogan still active, Buddha was able to see a few landmarks away and take note that even one of his old allies was headed this way.

Buddha: "Hmm, Shirou, eh?"

With this noted, Buddha uses his flight to dive downwards at high speeds; Getting around ground level before circling the rift and young boy a few times; Allowing his massive wirey body to kick up dust and other debris. With a closer look at the kid, seemed that the two had something in common. This boy possessed the Byakugan. Interesting. After circling the boy a few times, Buddha's size began to shrink down to normal size as his dragon form faded away and he took on his human body again.

Now standing a few meters away from both the young hyuga and the rift, buddha spoke up to him.

Buddha: "Yooo. I wouldn't touch that if I was you, kid. From what I heard, those things are dangerous as hell. Maybe let me take a peek in there? Back up a bit... Nice eyes btw."

Buddha would lower his glasses a bit, showing his unique eyes before winking.

Arriving at the rift, Shirou would see two people present there. One an old friend, and another unknown. Shirou would instruct his snakes to survey the permitter around, though knowing Buddha, he probably had that covered. Nevertheless, the snakes went about their task while Shirou approached the duo by the rift.

Well well well, if it isn't Mr. Buddha himself. What brings you here?

 

[Shady Doctor]

As Buddha was talking to the youngster, he could see that someone he was pretty familiar with making his way over. Seemed like the kid was gonna at least let Buddha investigate the rift opening before going in, and that was probably for the best. When Shirou finally got here, he spoke and Buddha simply sat down in front of the rift and pointed at it.

Buddha: "This shit here. From what I can see so far, this thing is an opening to another dimension or reality or something. Whatever it is, I can see in it and there's not much life in there. Actually, there's only one man. Seems like he's waiting for us to come in..."

Buddha continued to peer into the rift dimension by using the unique ability of his Tendogan, while turning and looking at Shirou.

Buddha: "So you gonna go in? Keep the kid company while he meets the man in the rift? I'm gonna watch from here. Do a little research. The hell brings you way over here anyway??"

Buddha wasn't in a rush to go into this random world, especially when he can send the kid in or even shirou to see the reaction it has to people of this world. He knew Shirou could possibly fend for himself, but the kid with the Byakugan? Buddha had no choice but to believe that he was part of the bloodline that was elite like him, and despite his age he would still have the skill to not die. Either way, Buddha would watch it all pan out.

 

[Ryóma]

It seemed he didn't have to wait for long, because suddenly, the dragon came diving down, with Ryuu being wary of any attack. But it seemed that it wasn't coming straight for him, rather, it started to circle the rift a few times, causing a lot of commotion. Ryuu held his arms up in front of his face in response to all the debris flying around, with his hair and clothes flying around wildly for a few seconds. Through his Byakugan, the young Hyūga could see the creature eyeing him, and wondered if he was getting ready to eat him up or something. Nonetheless, he kept a straight expression on, not giving away the sliver of fear he held. Then when the dragon started to transform into a human, Ryuu relaxed a little, realising it was an older man that had transformed into a dragon. Interesting ability...

Of course, like many strangers who didn't know him yet, the bold and rash sounding man addressed him like one would typically talk to a helpless child, not knowing how capable he actually was. Not one to show a lot of emotion though, all Ryuu let escape was a tiny scowl, so slight that it may have gone unnoticed, but even that disappeared when the man showed off his eyes. Blinking and looking a little dumbfounded, Ryuu stared intensely at his eyes, wondering why they seemed a little familiar. After a few moments of intense staring, he finally remembered. He had read about if before and had seen images of them, but this was the first time he was coming face to face with a Hyūga who had advanced his eyes to a level above the Byakugan. Automatically feeling a little more at ease with the knowledge that he was in the presence of a fellow clan member, Ryuu nodded his head politely to the man before agreeably moving a little back like he had asked.

A young white haired man arrived then, which was of course no surprise to Ryuu though, as he could see him coming from miles away, and he seemed to know the first, thanks to whom he now knew the name of. Listening to their conversation, Ryuu was pretty impressed and slightly envious that Buddha's eyes were actually able to see inside this dimension. Again though, Ryuu felt a tinge of annoyance as Buddha referred to him as 'the kid' as if he wasn't there or didn't have a mind of his own. He stood up a little straighter, making himself look a little taller, in the hopes that they would see him as an individual who could make his own choices.

 

[Vayne]

Shirou had heard some rumours about these rifts, but with Buddha confirming the displacement and lack of life, bar one, the Nara's curiosity would be elevated. It seemed that these rifts would be great locations to test out some of the more damaging and unfriendly skills.

How very interesting. Sounds like a perfect playground for destruction...

As Buddha mentioned the kid, who would be puffing up a bit after Buddha's comment, Shirou would observe him closely, trying to gauge his strength.

I will be entering, but not at this point in time.

While not one to shy away from the unknown, the Nara had some things he preferred to be ready before proceeding. Wether they would be done in a timely manner or not remained to be seen. Shirou would manipulate his shadow to form a chair behind him, while also extending the courtesy to the kid and Buddha who would be sat on the ground. For Buddha, a carpet would be made as well should he chose to remain on the floor.

Sitting down on his chair, Shirou would answer Buddha's question before addressing the kid. I have been hearing rumours about these rifts and other strange occurrences in the world these days. I feel it is nearing the time I investigate more into these events. Now looking towards the kid, Shirou would introduce himself. Kotomine Shirou. What is your name, younger Hyuga?

While the kid might not being referred to as that, it was a fact that most people were young when compared to the old head Buddha.

(Kage: Kurechin) - Shadow Arts: Cretin

Description: Used for the purpose of story telling, Cretin allows the user to manipulate his shadow in all of its forms in order to convey a story to an audience. The story can range from a simple manipulation that covers a few centimeters to a grand, up to scale, extravagant showing. The user's imagination is the only limit. The technique can last 5 turns due to it being inherently harmless and easy to use. It costs 5 chakra points per turn to sustain, with a turn interval required between uses.

Buddha relaxes as Shirou speaks to him whilst creating constructs purely from his shadows. It was always impressive that Shirou had managed to make it past genin with his little shadow manipulation stuff. The elder hyuga would allow the shadow carpet to be created beneath him, using it as a platform to sit on so that he didn't further dirty his attire. Once Shirou was done speaking, Buddha looked over to the younger hyuga and spoke to him once again.

Buddha: "Well, my investigation was gonna be done from right here.. Butttt, with the new information popping up, ya know, you being a hyuga and all.... I'm kinda required to go in and make sure you don't die. Our clan is thin as hell as is, so losing someone young and glowing with potential would be a travesty. So, wadaya say? You mind me accompanying you? Alsooooo, Shirou... You're coming also. No excuses. Might as well investigate first hand, right?"

At this point, Buddha waited to hear the boys name from Shirou asking it of him. Even though Buddha trusted the bloodline that he came from, he couldn't help but get an uneasy feeling running through him as he continues to peer into the rift, gathering information about the details within and watching the lonely man simply stand and wait in the separate reality.

 

[Vayne]

Shirou's brow rose as Buddha speak. It was not uncharacteristic, but it was still somewhat funny. Maybe the old head was going soft. Shirou shrugged as Buddha demanded his presence.

So be it! He said while now looking at the young Hyuga, awaiting his response.

 

[Ryóma]

Ryuu was momentarily disappointed when the duo said they didn't want to enter the rift yet, even though he didn't know them. But he knew that he didn't want to go in alone, given the uncertainties that these rifts held... He had been quite eager to go in, but this information seemed to sap his energy and enthusiasm away, so when the man who introduced himself as Shirou made a chair out of his own shadow and offered him a seat, he gladly accepted it.

Finally someone asked him for his name, making him feel a little more part of the conversation at hand, though of course it was difficult and tedious for him to join in. Of course, he also didn't mind being called a younger Hyūga, as he was quite proud of his clan name. Before he could answer though, Buddha spoke to him now, reversing his lack of enthusiasm with the knowledge that he would indeed enter the rift. In better spirits now, Ryuu gave a small smile, partly at the fact that he knew that Buddha insisting that he needed to protect him was just an excuse. He accepted the explanation though, before taking out a paint brush which he used to write the following words in the air with.

The name's Ryuu. Nice to meet you both. Of course I don't mind. The more the merrier right?​

His words floated in the air in front of him, long enough for the duo to read, before they vanished into thin air. Then realising they might think of him as strange to be using this as a medium for conversation, he politely added an explanation in the air with an apologetic expression on his face.

Sorry, I should have mentioned, this is just how I communicate... Anyways, let's enter shall we?​

The shy boy much preferred it that way though, for it meant he could do less talking interacting with others.

 

[Shady Doctor]

Buddha was kinda surprised when the boy took out a painting brush and painted out his response. Was he a mute? Guess the heavens didn't bless him with talent without taking something from him. Fair is fair. With everyone on the same page now, Buddha nodded at both of his newly appointed sidekicks and got up off of the shadow carpet. Once up, he grabbed his sword Dojin off of his hip and pointed at the rift with it before heading into it and talking to his crew.

Buddha: "Let's go boys! We got some first hand investigating to do!"

[Vayne]

With the interesting introduction and Buddha popping in, Shirou would call his snake companions from the perimeter. Once they arrive, he'd manipulate the chairs to slide across the ground and take him and Ryuu into the rift in style, dipping them into the rift. Shirou's companions would follow enter a moment after.

Concluding mission and entering the rift.

 

[Ryóma]

With all of them in agreement, Ryuu found the chairs beneath him and Shirou sliding off into the rift, and he also noticed Buddha point a sword at the rift before he entered. This reminded Ryuu that he also had swords he could make use of, so he took the wakizashis off his back as he slid into the rift, holding one in each hand.

Starting a mission with the following element:
-Help your allies recover
The rift endeavour was a successful one, with the trio emerging victorious. It was a rather quick affair, but the two snakes that accompanied them would have fell short, falling to the clutches of an illusion. This would have lead to Shirou carrying them out of the rift and setting them on the ground once they are outside. WAKE UP! He shouted as he slapped both of his summons in the head. For Semiramis, the illusion would be broken, but for Gokudere his natural durability prevented that. As such, Shirou would have used a more conventional means of breaking the illusion via Kai. He simply wanted to slap them both for falling to the tricks of the rift individual. Following that he would heal up Semiramis, returning her to full health. With that done, Shirou would say his goodbyes to the two Hyugas. He would leave a communication with each of them before heading out.

Description: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by focusing chakra onto their hands, forming an aura of greenish chakra which he then sends into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it very useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique. The limitation of the technique is that it cannot regrow missing body parts or remove with poisons or toxins, though it can heal damage by them. Additionally, perhaps its more severe drawback is the chakra cost, which is much higher than any other medical technique. For each damage point the user of the technique wishes to heal, he needs to spend twice as much chakra. Basically, for x amount of damage the user needs to spend 2x amount of chakra to repair/heal. The user can also use this technique on himself and it can be used with one hand or two and even in two targets at a time or while using another technique with the other hand. The speed of the healing is fast but not instant.

Description:
The user will create 2 or more scrolls with an embedded sealing formula that connects them all together. As such, anything written in one scroll will appear written in all the connected scrolls. A very useful communication technique, it can connect scrolls regardless of the distance between them. To activate the scroll, the user needs to perform a key of hand seals that will be unique for each creation and only known to those the user wishes, preventing the use of the scrolls by those the user doesn't allow.

Upon emerging from the rift, Ryuu paused for a bit and contemplated on all that had just taken place. With the help of this hastily formed team, the trio had managed to defeat the man more easily than he had anticipated. He wondered about the mechanism of the rift and was curious about why they had emerged; what was their purpose and how long would they stay for? He then noticed Shirou wake his summons out from the genjutsu that they were still stuck in, before leaving him and Buddha with a scroll each upon leaving.

Remembering that his fellow team mate left behind was a Hyūga like him, Ryuu turned to him and wrote a message in the air again with an earnest expression.

What are your plans now? Are you going anywhere?​

He didn't outright say it, but Ryuu was admiring the older Hyūga for his unique eyes, and was wondering how he could come in possession of them too, which was why he wasn't rushing off yet.

 

[Ryóma]

He paused for a bit and waited for his fellow clan mate to respond, but perhaps his thoughts were occupied elsewhere, and Ryuu was in a rush to leave now, so he wrote something in the air again before leaving.

Okay well I'm going to go investigate those crystals on Moon Isle that I heard people talk about earlier. Perhaps they have some connection to these rifts...​

And with that he turned and ran off into the distance.
