And I think it's mainly because of Robben that we went to the finals in the World Cup two years ago. anyway, the Dutch were terrible at playing together this tournament, and there were way too many gaps in the defence
In my Opinion Sneijder is an asshol, did you see what he did in the second half when we got a free kick? He just pushed the Portuguese player out of his way. I've never like Sneijder.

Among the 5 big names - Van Persie, Robben, Huntellar, Sneijder and Van Bommel - Sneijder did a better job IMO. Sure, nothing of his 2010 class but reasonable nonetheless. The rest were all dismal.
Nope, it's mainly because of a rock-solid defensive team and Sneijder that Holland went to the finals in 2010.
He was Man of the Match against both Brazil and Uruguay in 2010 and scored 5 goals in the WC. If there were to be 1 star man to be chosen for Holland in 2010, it remains Sneijder IMO; not Robben.
Actually, Sneijder wasn't good since WC ended but I must say that he was much better in this Euro; compared to his performances with Inter.

Messi even gets restricted much more defence wise compared to Ronaldo.
I fail to release how Ronaldo is even close to this? He stood a better chance last year, face the the facts he got eclipsed this year and out classed by Messi. He does have a chance if he wins, or maybe reaches final, but even than, so does Iniesta, Xavi, and Gomez. He scored two goals VS a Netherlands team that was already in bad shape and even got beaten by Denmark doesn't mean Ballon D'or is his.
This season as a CM Xavi scored 14 goals with 16 assist, its unbelievable for a CM to perform this. Well not much should be said about Messi better individual performance, better team player, and better club success. In the last two years, Madrid have only beaten us twice and that is once every year.
Even if Ronaldo wins, or reaches the final as well as everyone else I wouldn't be surprised if Messi still beats them to Ballon breaking many record this year including scoring the most goals in a season (record 67, Messi 73, which is a 6 goal difference), and the past 4 years Messi has showed consistency, which counts as a whole lot. In the past few fixtures with Argentina he's been performing good too.

This time, it's the inverse. Not to forget that:
1. Ronaldo is playing Euro and may win it on that basis.
2. He became the first player in the history of Liga to score against all 19 rival teams in one season.
3. Despite, he missed his penalty in shootout against Neuer, he did score against Bayern in the match. So, he did better performance in the UCL Semi-Final.
4. His stats are still amazing; even if Messi surpassed most of them in this season.
5. Madrid dominated Liga with 100 points and 121 goals and most credit goes to CR7.
