Uchiha shisui vs Uchiha Itachi

We didn't get to see how good Shisui was in battle but apparently Danzo was able to take one of his eyes from him and Itachi was confident enough to go there to fight him, even if it turns out Shisui was just like Itachi.
Plus what made Shisui famous was his eye genjutsu that apparently can only be used once a decade without Hashirama's DNA. So that is not a valid battle tactic really. I don't think Kishi is ever going to show Shisui in a fight but if Danzo could take his eye before he had the ten sharingans in his arm then I don't think that he could beat Itachi who is a master of ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu.
The only real question I had about that manga release was what the hell Nagato did at the end. I can't remember what the Human Path does but I thought that one summoned stuff, I want to see what Nagato was up to.

Itachi went to Shisui of his free will or was he summoned by Shisui?
And was the koto whatever his only powerful genjutsu?
If he was only praised for his genjutsu then why did they call him Shisui of the Body Flicker?

we don't know enough about shisui to say who would win. however, he is supposedly the best genjutsu user in the uchiha clan, something up until now we thought was true of itachi. so basically he might be better than itachi at itachi's specialty. that doesnt mean he'd certainly win, but he'd give itachi an extremely hard time.
this is assuming, when they said "he's the best at genjutsu" they meant in general, and they were not referring to this one technique. also, itachi's skill with genjutsu could have surpassed shisui's since his death.

i have to admit your right, strongest in current naruto not overall as in from start of naruto history to now(obviously), but i didnt like how he cant use it for another DECADE that a stretch too far... at least few months to year not a decade...
by the way was it a decade for the actual mangekou sharingan or the amatsukami technique...please tell me..
The human path has th ability to use mind reading against the opponent, and after that the opponent dies.
And BOT: Itachi wins, as someone else said if Danzo was able to take an eye of him than Itachi can without a doubt kill him.

another reason is because he was a master of the body flicker technique, so he must be unimaginably fast

He had exhausted its use after using it on Mifune, he had to recharge it. Although once it was recharged he saved its use for Madara
yep, I wonder how long Danzo would have needed to wait or if he even knew how to use it effectively

Why would Shisui give Danzo his eye? He looked pretty tired and beaten up when we saw him in that flashback to me.
Why would Shisui summon Itachi? Knowing that they were best friends and now knowing that Shisui was actually not part of the coup, Shisui probably knew about Itachi's orders and planned on being killed by him or at least to leave together but Danzo took his eye. Why would Shisui help Danzo if Shisui wasn't in ANBU (he wasn't, he was in the Uchiha Police force) and if he knew that Danzo had been one of the ones to order the massacre of the Uchiha.
You seem to be overrating someone that you know absolutely nothing about. We know his nickname and one ability that is unstoppable but is only usable once a decade so is fairly worthless in a fight unless it is that once in a blue moon situation.
Its hard to say without proof becos it is not easy to just take out one eye and just run away and he had ms he can't be weak, not to mention that he was called the best genjutsu user in the uchiha clan so he can't be weak and there is more to it.

Did he have MS though? I'm pretty sure he did not have MS because the only people who have unlocked MS are Madara, Izuna, Itachi, Sasuke, and now Kakashi. Danzo's shisui eye wasn't an MS was it? (Seriously I don't know) I think that by Itachi taking his eyes he unlocked it to MS just like Kakashi did with Obito's eye.
I'm not saying he is weak but we don't know why he had his reputation for being the best genjutsu user. It could have been only because of that one genjutsu which isn't really a viable battle tactic unless he only fights once a decade.
That's a interesting question, I have no idea. Perhaps Madara would have interfered

Shisui only ever wanted to protect the Leaf. And Danzo as you know is one of the Leaf's higher ups and runs things in the background. The guy loves konoha, and is willing to do anything to protect it. I take it Shisui was pretty smart, so he would have known of both Itachi's orders and the coup d'etat. In fact Itachi was his disciple and he was a higher up in the Uchiha clan - so he was probably filled in and knew everything, Itachi was likely to have confided in him.
Because of this I think Shisui would have given his eye to Danzo to "protect konoha"
Or if it didn't go down like that, Danzo may have surprise attacked Shisui with like horde of Anbu and managed to weaken him and steal an eye
I can think of a few reasons why Shisui would summon Itachi:
1. To entrust him with his mangekyou sharingan (as he may have done with Danzo)
2. To help him acquire his mangekyou sharingan - the death of a close friend, a best friend. He probably forced Itachi to kill him.
And how am I overrating Shisui? If I'm doing that then you're underrating him. Shisui was a master of genjutsu, the guy probably knows hundreds of different ones.
he had other mind controlling genjutsu becos everyone knew about it like ao so it definitely seems like he had other really stong genjutsu and it is unlikely that he just has koto amketsui becos every1 knos about him and they had to see him in battle or something like that for the name to spread, i doubt he battled once in a decade.
