Clones and FTG are counter for both Kotoamatsukami and finger genjutsu.
As we know from manga person who is sensor can sense change in chakra flow and tell if someone is under genjutsu . If Tobirama is caught inside finger genjutsu his clone will sense it and immediately teleport original to himself and release him.

Same goes for Kotoamatsukami , Itachi only has one shot pre 10 years and based on feats Koto can only be used on 1 person (Danzo wasn't able to use it on both Sasuke or Tobi). While person caugh inside Koto can't realise that ,we know based on feats that other person can as we saw with Ao. So again clone will sense change in chakra flow and teleport and release original ( assuming Itachi actually traps original and not clone)

Shisui Uchiha has 2 eyes, Danzo took one while Itachi was gifted the other. As with every mangekyuo, each eye had a different ability. What you’re referring to isn’t Kotoamatsukami, which was the ability of the eye Itachi has, but the Doryuoko, which was the eye that was able
to control people without them noticing I.e danzos eye

Stop the fanfic. Manga has never shown:

1) Users sensing themselves with clones

2) Users dispelling genjutsu with their own clones

If anything how tf can your own chakra disrupt your chakra?

Stop being retarded and read actual manga.

1.read war arc there are several situations where actual clones used sensing.

2.A) read the manga where is shown that simple touch from outside source can release someone from genjutsu.

B) Also when you are alone you are trying to break genjutsu by disrupting opponent chakra with you own , so actually clones ( who had chakra from original) disrupting chakra makes perfect sense.

So based on manga we know Tobirama can use clones to dispell genjutsu because all requirments needed were already done just not for that purpose.

OP didn't say they are in character,so we this is our own scenarios where we use possible tactics , and tactic I said is entirely possible and ca be used as argument.

Ah yes but will Tobirama start off the fight with clones pre prepared is the only question for me? As you can tell from my Ava, I’m a Tobirama fan, but I honestly can’t tilt one way over this.
One way to settle it would be to show a scan of Tobirama starting a fight off with a clone straight off the bat. Because while there’s no doubt that the 2 nd was proficient with clones, there’s no reason to suppose he’d be so cautious as to go in with one at the start Kakashi style.

Also while it’s true that if a clone is caught in a genjutsu the original is unaffected, but it’s false for you to claim that if the original person gets caught in genjutsu the clones can release him. The clones follow the chakra ‘signals’ of the original, so if they get disrupted then the clones get disrupted. Also if what you said were true, Kakashi in part 1 would’ve just used a kage bunshin instead of attempting to fight Itachis tsukiyomi with his sharingan and getting rekt. Same with Sasuke when he fought Itachi in part 2. Clearly it isn’t that simple.
