Even in part 1 when neji was near death, the medical team used neji's hair to seal neji's chest up with their chakra. You don't regenerate tissues unless you are sakura or tsunade's level.

She doesn't need to to jump into the air and knock katon away.
If he really used medical ninjutsu he would not need to stitch the wound. Actual medical ninjas with the basic mystical palm can close wounds completely otherwise without stitching. Try again.
