I was excluding the surviving Uzumakis, that's a given fact that some survived but did they know who attacked them? Surely they would have told Konoha who they had strong ties with. For the village part, exactly my point; why would "if anyone" be referring to anyone in Konoha? Clearly Minato was talking about his enemies, see it's not vague at all when you think about it. Hiruzen was in his prime when he first took on Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Jiraiya; he died around 68-69, his prime isn't going to be at age 56-57. It should be around his high 20's and mid 30's at best.
People outside the village also heard about it. Prime or not at that time could still defeat Orochimaru.
For the Kakashi part, he was still praised as a prodigy and made jounin at a young age and it doesn't mean he didn't graduate the academy at 5; also was that Gai flashback in the manga? Naruto wasn't a prodigy, he was a hard worker who was very determined; he developed skills as he went along. He trained hours for shadow clones, trained over a month for Rasengan and trained until he had 3 days left of his month of training for toad summoning. Prodigies are Neji, Sasuke, Itachi, Minato, Kakashi, Hiruzen, Ect...
Yeah, it was the Gai flashback. Obito and Kakashi are the same age. Kakashi wasn't all that powerful as a kid as shown in Gaiden where was getting his ass kicked by a fodder. A strong ninja can take him down and even part 1 Naruto would shit on him.
2) where does she compare it to other Uzumakis? Here she only said she was born with a particularly strong chakra suited for suppressing KuramaYou must be registered for see links. When we see Kurama sealed inside Kushina he is held down by chainsYou must be registered for see links. Just because Karin had to awaken hers doesn't mean Kushina couldn't be born with it or even awakened it at an early age and simply having it doesn't make her powerful if she doesn't have the skills to use it in combat. If Uchihas such as Sasuke, Itachi, Salada, Ect can awaken their Sharingans at ages below 10 then why can't Kushina awaken her own power?
Here is a better translation where she said that she had chakra enough to control the Kyuubi. Comparing it to other Uzumaki.

Those aren't her chains, just how her the seal worked. Notice how there on now spike on those chains like the ones Kushina used and are much larger. Karin didn't have much experience with her chains either, yet was doing more damage to that Budda summoning than freaking Hiruzen.
3) She's nowhere near as famous as Minato who is well known in all 5 Nations even before he became Hokage. His actions in the 3rd war shown how famous he was by enemy ninja fleeing from seeing him to his own comrades delight to see him single handed wipeout the enemy forces. He even fought the man who becomes the 4th Kazekage on many occasions. Minato also uses shadow clones so no reason to use that to compare Naruto to Kushina unless the way he used clones was the same as hers as I said before. Same way you say Naruto is more famous than Hinata, Minato is more famous than Kushina.
I never she was as famous as Minato. Just that she was famous enough for Tsunade to have heard about her skills. She saved the village after all and was the Jin of the strongest tailed beast.
4) Being the hero of the war doesn't mean he did it alone, without help he would have died more than the one time that he did. Doesn't matter that he did more, she still played a part in the war and helped out a lot; she helped protect Naruto when he was out of chakra along with Neji and her dad and was the one to help snap Naruto out of giving up after Neji died. She also popped his shoulder back in place while he was charging Edo Madara and Obito and fought many white zetsus for a day or two. Take her out and Naruto could have died or lost hope.
Doesn't matter what she did. Naruto is still given vastly more credit than her. The world knows of him as shown in The Last and has fangirl in other villages. Naruto is vastly more famous, there is no debate about that.
Considering the fact that Sasuke was in Akatsuki and played a part in creating the Juubi, he helped caused the deaths of hundreds and almost caused everyone ending up in IT. Uchihas planned a coup which is kept secret, you think if everyone knew all of the bad Sasuke and the Uchiha clan plan to to/did that they'll still be liked? Highly doubt it, Kakashi even said Sasuke was lucky to not get the death sentence and that's because he vouched for him. Senjus created Konoha, not Uzumaki so let's not give credit to the Uzumakis for something they didn't do; heck Tobirama even said it was Hashirama who built Konoha, not Hashirama and Madara, he even said this is known even in the Uchiha clan.
Sasuke was pardoned remember? And Madara was called a founder of the village and we got a flashback that showed it. And are you forgetting that Sakura is a pathetic Sasuke fangirl?
Hyuuga clan is more famous, there's a reason we hear more about Hyuugas in part 1, a little in Shippuden and a good amount in a movie. Still being around makes it more relevant to what's going on, people were still trying to take the Byakugan in Shippuden. Actually being in Konoha means it's actually helping the village by providing skilled ninjas to go on missions (villages source of income) and protect the village from any threat.
Bold: By that logic they are more famous than the Senju.
The ninja in the village are wearing Uzumaki symbol on their vest and not Hyuuga symbols. Two Uzumaki were married to Hokages and one of them were protected the village from the legendary Kyuubi attack. It's pretty obvious that the Uzumaki are more respected in that village.
