Naruto can that gaara's sand is the best defense but it would obvious;y be false because he hasn't seen jutsus like susanoo or mokuton.

This isnt about hyping a character's abilities. Tsunade obviously can restore his arms because she was going to but knowing Orochimaru she couldnt trust he would not attack Konoha. Which is the ONLY reason she did not restore his arms.

Tsunade herself takes a huge dump on those 2 as far medical ninja skills go. Tsunade casually replicated Kabuto's technique and used it with her own techniques to heal rock lee. Where did Kabuto do that? nowhere. He isn't near Tsunade. Stop trying to make something that isn't there.

From kidnapping children to experiments that led to murder. He knows the human body better than Tsunade does if not the same. The same goes for Kabuto.

Genetic engineering is pretty nice. But you're forgetting their doctors as well.

This just shows that Orochimaru had a very complex plan in mind to restore his arms which he does implement in the War.

The first phase was to stop the breakdown of the body and stop the excruciating pain which Tsunadae can do with his Healing Powers.

The second Phase was to take over Uchiha Sasuke and use his Sharingan to get to the Uchiha Stone Tablet.

The Third Phase was to summon the RDS with the Uzumaki Mask and the Scroll he had (Which fell in the hands of Suigetsu).

Then Orochimaru would cut the RDS's belly, get His Hand's soul from the belly and fully restore his Soul/Arms.

I would say that Kishi changed the meaning behind those panels because Part 2 solidified that the only way to release souls from the RDS is by cutting the RDS's belly.

There is no way Tsunadae can fully restore Orochimaru's arms without access to the RDS, cut it's belly and get the soul.

Without the Soul of the Hands, Tsunadae cannot restore the hands in the first place.

I admit defeat. Orochimaru and Kabuto are the best in medical ninjutsu. Because they have been only medical ninjutsu their entire life. They have been countering hyped up poisons on normal basis. They made a whole system around medical ninjutsu. They are the most respected. The best medical ninjutsu technique in the manga belongs to them. Genetic engineering is the epitome of medical ninjutsu in naruto, even if the person can do a technique to regenerate themselves and even non-medics have done genetic engineering.​

That was using alot of general ninjustu not medical ninjustu, like separating his soul into curse marks and such. He wanted immortality to learn every justu. Yes it required experiments on his body outside of the medical field and more of the spiriutal kind. But despite that, people aren't born with every KKG and affinity. His experiments with a kidnapped child, yamato. Suigetsu. Karin and the many Curse mark ridden prisoners he had across the fire country only proves he wasn't just looking for Immortality. It was simply a means for him to figure out any and everything.

That case is different. Garra's soul was in the pure/spirit world where it was free. So, it was summoned back by Chiyo's life force.

In Orochimaru's case, the soul of his hands was in a prison, the RDS's belly. The only way to get the soul was to destroy the Prison, i.e; cut the RDS's Belly. There is no way you can free the soul without the RDS, so complete restoration is not possible.

The same way Edo Tensei cannot summon the soul from the RDS's belly, so Hokage Edo Tensei's were not possible until the souls in question were freed from the RDS's belly.

The only way to completely restore Orochimaru's arms without the RDS is by making his soul out of nothing, which is Creation of all Things. Only Naruto and Sasuke can restore Orochimaru's arms in the manga's context as both got Hagoromo's chakra and by extension Creation Of All Things.

Or Orochimaru could get replacement arms by switching bodies and using the vessel's soul for his hands, which is what he does to use Ninjutsu.

The "another/other way" was the RDS Route. He was perhaps experimenting Tsunadae's method and looking backwards with Part 2 in consideration, Tsunadae's attempts to heal his arms would have been a failure.
