The problem with Tsukoyomi is not, that it couldn't be canceled - because it can be canceled. The problem is the speed of the justsu. Once you get hit by it, every second will convert to days of torture and thus breaking your mind. Someone could of course disrupt your chakra and get you out of the jutsu, but at this point, the damage is already done, that's why there is no canceling the effects of tsukoyomi - unless you've got a tailed beast in you that can instanteneous get you out of any genjutsu fired at you...

It's a dangerous jutsu with the only downside beeing that it can only be executed on eye-contact and that it puts a lot of strain to your eyes, making it a one-shot jutsu - either it takes down the enemy or it takes down yourself, unless you have ems.

Someone seems butt hurt but you have no manga or anime proof to state this by manga facts it can only be Bren by bloodline so unless stated otherwise then your argument is invalid

Huh...cute thread.

Your first fallacious point lies in what you say about Sasuke. While it's true Sasuke used Tsukuyomi on Killer Bee, he only broke out of it as Sasuke's Tsukuyomi and Genjutsu in general is inferior to Itachi's. Namely, that Sasuke cannot manipulate time in his, which brings me to my next point, that Sasuke's is not instant. This was something that was attested by Tobi in Sasuke's bout with Danzo. [ ]

With the above in mind, Itachi's Tsukuyomi is instant, as described on two canonical occasions. [ ] [ ] Kakashi also claims that there is no cancelling the effects of it. This is because Itachi's Tsukuyomi and I will repeat again for those who cannot comphrenend this simple fact, that it is Itachi's Tsukuyomi which cannot be broken by normal means, unless you're an Uchiha; something which was proven when Sasuke broke out of it in their destined battle. Additionally, Kakashi did not survive Tsukuyomi himself; Tsunade healed him. And this was because Itachi went easy on Kakashi, like Kakashi himself stated: "He could have killed me if he wanted to..."

Riddle me this: how can you break a technique that affects you in an instant? To put the conjecture forward that:

  • One must recognize the Genjutsu.
  • Then one must cancel it's effects before an instant has occured. :|

Makes no sense...

Like Kakashi said, it's effects cannot be cancelled. And to break a technique faster than an instant makes absolutely no sense.

Thus, to use Sasuke as an example is completely illogical and fallacious. Though, like I said, cute thread.

The power of tsukuyomi depends on the user. Sasuke can't control space and time of his tsukuyomi, so it's because of that, that it's breakable. I don't support Itachi very often, but you're wrong. It's already stated in the manga and Kakashi disagrees with you:

You must be registered for see images

I agree that tsukuyomi can't kill though. I don't know why Itachi fans believe it's a one-shot technique. It all depends on the opponents mind

these^^

Stop trying to act like a genius. Although I disagree with the thread maker, you're getting some things about your post wrong. You don't break the instant. You break what is happening. So obviously you can't cancel something "before the instance" has occurred. It's like you're saying that someone can cancel a punch before the punch is even thrown. That is incorrect. The punch has to be thrown, and then canceled. If this isn't what you're trying to say, then I suggest you learn to express yourself better...

It's embarrassing, that clarified things have to be discussed under the hottest threads. It's obvious, that Itachis Tsukuyomi is another form of Genjutsu than Sasukes and Madaras, as he's able to control the space and the time within his illusion, everyone looking into Itachis eyes, gets affected by Tsukuyomi instantly, what further means that the illusion starts and ends in the same moment, for which reason Kakashi told Chiyo, that canceling this form of Genjutsu by disturbing someones chakra flow is impossible [ ]. For whatever reason, people also fall into the consideration, Genjutsus shouldn't work on Jinchuriki as the Biju can immediately cancel it, what actually is wrong. Everyone is affected by Genjutsu, also Jinchuriki. Before canceling the Genjutsu, the respective Biju has to realize, that his host is caught in one first, making it impossible to react at Itachis Tsukuyomi as well. Given the scenarios of Bee fighting Sasuke and Itachi and both time being caught in a Genjutsu, such as Yagura being controlled by Tobi, proves the susceptibility of Jinchuriki against Genjutsu. The further fact of Naruto noting that both Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi would finish Bee [ ] though latter already canceled one of Itachis Genjutsu, confirms it as well.

I believe, KingHashirama trolls on the purpose of downplaying certain abilities, though knowing the right answer already. After all this isn't the first thread going about Tsukuyomi.

This is how it may works with an Uchiha using the Sharingan, but they consequently are excluded, as Itachi said them to be the exception (for whatever reason which can be discussed). For all the others, as an exception wasn't done by Itachi and the databook, they don't fall under this regulation. The Genjutsu has to be canceled in reality, as the time which is passed in Tsukuyomi is only an illusion caused by Itachi when he's manipulating your sense of time. This is may the reason for an Uchiha with the Sharingan being able to break it with the Sharingans see through ability and their blood, which is related to the one who is controlling the time. So exceptions given for one type, cannot be used for another.

This technique is so hyped up by the fans of Itachi.. why? Cause of the page where Itachi says only the ones who are related to him, can break it.. lmao. So based on that page people basically cut off the "normal way" of canceling a genjutsu, chakra disruption, from the list of ways to stop Tsukuyomi. Which is freaking wrong.

Sasuke Uchiha used Tsukuyomi on Killer B, how was Killer B able to comeback? oh yea, because of Chakra disruption.

Tsukuyomi is a Genjutsu, all genjutsus are the same, they deal with chakra manipulation inside the victim's body. So Tsukuyomi is no different. People like SM Naruto and Jiraya and others who are able to disrupt their chakra and have strong minds (Otherwise it will affect you mentally , like it did to Kakashi) can break out of it.

Stop overrating something, that follows the simple law of breaking a Genjutsu.

Tsukuyomi is nothing special, if your talking about breaking it.

I hope you get hit by Tsukuyomi...

i have just a question: can you cancel the effect of tsukuyomi with izanagi? does it even makes sense?

and what if someone with strong mind gets in tsukuyomi and survives the 3 days of torture without passing out?

Bringing in Nature chakra is another way, you don't need a partner for it. Why?

Because Nature chakra basically changes your whole chakra network changes

But you saw Naruto need a lot of time to prepare his SM and the jutsu will distract him so he wouldn't be able to go in SM.
Tsukuyomi isn't just a Genjutsu it a Genjutsu in a really high level!!!
It is able to harm people more than a normal Genjutsu or if they are mentally weak even to kill them!

You used Sasuke'sTsukyomi as an exemple , and now you're telling me you're talking about Itachi's ??
If Bee had a hard time breaking sasuke's Genjutsu (no proof it's a Tsukyomi) , He is far away from breaking Itachi's. :) because it can't be broken normally...

I'm smelling some hate.

It is, Only two poeple survived it , Sasuke broke it and Kakashi because Itachi spared his life.

Itachi let him break it. Itachi controls s/t in his tdukuyomi i.e. its instant U_U

Only Uchiha can break it without a partner or some sort of outerly force such as Nature energy from Sage Mode or a tailed beast in its host.

It's not whether it's a normal genjutsu or not... of course it's a regular genjutsu but no genjutsu escapes the time for a time period but Tsukiyomi do...
If you got genjutsu'ed and you have a partner, that's fine because genjutsu won't work or would be removed in the initial states but If one is Tsukiyomi'ed and even if that guy has 1000 partners, no one can save him because even before they will realize that their partner is hit, one will be completely pulverized by the Tsukiyomi....
That's what put Itachi's Tsukiyomi in other league than all others...
and
Itachi>>>>>>>>Sasuke (In genjutsu prowess, never compare both)
