what i don't understand is why is it so wrong for a country to want secure borders when it's perfectly ok for neighborhood properties to be divided by fences and the doors to houses being locked. This isn't a perfect world where it's wise for ppl to just let strangers waltz into their home. I might not agree with everything Trump has to say, but i don't believe he's Darth Sidious simply because he says the U.S. needs better border security.

It's not the morality of it that I think is stupid. Illegals get deported anyways. The problem is the practicality. Trump is drunk off the Henney if he thinks Mexico would pay to build a wall, let alone think that would stop illegal immigrants from finding a way into the country. Not only that, him and followers forget that illegal immigrants are a key part of the American economy and take low-paying jobs that everyday Americans like you and me simply won't take. Construction is a big one. About 60% of Latin-American immigrants who come to America to work in that industry have a sophisticated understanding of the trade. They'll also be useful in filling future labor gaps as the baby boomers are retiring.

Not only that, it ignores a major part of the history of the country. People have literally been immigrating here since the birth of the nation, even before the conception of the country. I wonder how we forgot that America is a melting pot of cultures,languages,and ideas and not a homogeneous European nation.

No. Illegal immigration is indeed a problem, but you can't solve it with just building expensive, stupid walls to let the desperate people die outside, on the streets. Why do so many people only try to treat the symptoms of a disease, instead to find and cure the cause of it?

Improve the countries where they are coming from, so that they don't have the need to flee to somewhere else. That would solve the problem lastingly.
