I already explained how these are not the same thing or even similar as anyone can be considered a parent if they are of age. What does providing for a child have to with someone denying what they biologically are? Does a child deny it's adoptive parents?
So, in one case, someone can be treated as something they biologically are not in legal matters, but in another case, someone shouldn't be treated as something in legal matters because they are not that thing biologically. Logic.
