The fire is lit on the ground in front of you, short range, and then you call on wind right away (1 technique so it's essentially the same timeframe) to push the fire forwards in a cone-like formation - the fire gets taller the further away from you it gets.

Also, this is fire training. :|

Mystogan sighed. One fireball, that was all this student who wanted to learn Katon produced. It was unfortunate, and needed to be dealt with.

Bending his knees, instead of properly jumping into the air Mystogan kicked the ground with his right foot to send him into a backflip, forming handseals from the moment he bent down. After forming the five seals, flames began to appear at his joints, igniting but not consuming his clothing. The fire quickly spread, engulfing the man in flame before splitting off into 10 different burning condors. Nine of them split off into a massively-arcing formation towards the boy. One flew directly towards the student, colliding with the fireball to create a blazing inferno, whilst four that arced upwards consumed the debris with a combined explosion of nearly identical power. The remaining four poured around from either side of the explosion of Intelligent Hard Work, while Mystogan himself flew backwards before up and over the explosion at the debris as the flames were dying down. He aimed to land behind his student while the other four condors crashed close to him (in a northwest-, northeast-, southwest-, southeast-type arrangement), but far enough away to keep him uninjured - just trapped inside the heat (so, they obviously crash over mid-range away from you).

(Katon: Hagetaka kaen) Fire Release: Condor Blaze
Type: Supplementary/Attack
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 50
Damage Points: 90
Description: The user will form a row of 10 handseals, he will then disperse into 10 highly compressed katon flames that are shaped like condors. The condors will then soar through the air at great speeds at the opponent. 1 condor will be the user and will travel to the desired location that the user wants and the user will appear from that condor while the other 9 condors soar through the air and attack the opponent. The condors hit the opponent all at the same time. On impact the condors will explode in a huge fiery explosion that covers the area . Once the condors explode all surroundings within mid range will be covered with 6ft tall flames.
-If the user has signed the condor contract then this jutsu will only require 5 handseals.
-No Katon for the next 2 turns.
-Can only use this jutsu once per battle.
-Can only use 2 jutsu on the next turn.
-No Katon jutsu before this jutsu.
-The turn that this jutsu is used, the user can only use one more jutsu so this jutsu counts as 2 moves.
-If the user is caught in the explosion then he/she will die.
-Can only be taught by ~Yard~
As the fire died away, Mystogan stood behind his student, his back to him.

What is it you are training to learn?

Mystogan formed a series of handseals, causing a large box formed of blue earth-like pillars to form behind himself and in front of his student, as though presenting it to him.

(Raiton: Jūrokuchū Shibari) – Lightning Release: Sixteen-Pillar Bind
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the needed hand seals Rat → Monkey → Horse → Tiger the user will create a even more powerful version of Lightning Release: Four Pillar Bind. Using this technique, the user creates sixteen giant pillars by using his lightning chakra to shape the ground into a multitude of pillars, which then form a giant cubic oven to trap the enemy. It is often used after Earth Release: Mud Fall to cover the enemy target in mud and then follow up with using Fire release: Firing Biscuit, creating flames in the oven to roast and harden the mud, immobilizing the enemy.
If it is the art of Fire Style, as opposed to how to fight, you can proceed by focusing your Katon chakra into the inner walls of this structure. Use the container to channel your chakra so as to not have to worry about controlling the flames to do anything specific - once you have enough chakra built up, the contents of the box should ignite and consume anything trapped inside in flame. This technique is very limited - it must be used in conjunction with this Raiton technique. But it doesn't use shape manipulation, and there is no danger towards you as you are using a different medium to channel your chakra. (not that there's any ever danger to the user in battle, but in a more realistic Naruto-like setting it would be less dangerous to train in this technique, as you aren't burning your throat/mouth/insides if things go wrong).

(Katon: Shageki Bisuketto) – Fire Release: Firing Biscuit technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the needed hand seals Rat → Dragon → Boar the user then creates powerful flames inside the giant oven created by Lightning Release: Sixteen pillar bind, cooking the opponent until their burnt. Its normally used together with Earth Release: Mud fall to harden the mud covering the enemy, immobilizing them.
Note: Can only be used in the collaboration of Lightning Release: Sixteen Pillar Bind

It seemed letting his electrifying passion for the art of lightning release reveal itself in a training session dedicated to fire, was not the wisest of choices. Atemu's Sensei easily dealt with the combo pitted against him all while keeping true to the theme of the training session, fire. Dispersing into what appeared to be several condors composed of pure fire. Condors coming at him Atemu was ready to defend, preparing his chakra to counter the incoming attack. Only to find the Condors coming towards him stop mid range from him, it was clear at that point, Mystogan wasn't trying to hurt his student. Perhaps more so wanting to display the potential of fire mastery to refocus him on training. Whether on purpose or not, the display seemed to refocus the young ninja and motivate him to train harder.

His sensei now behind him, Atemu knew he was about to get a lecture. Mystogan was not pleased by the young pharaoh's use of lightning in their training session. It seemed Mystogan was against turning his student into some behemoth only capable of fighting, Mystogan wished to impart into his student knowledge, the philosophy of the elements. The ability to preform them and the skill to not only use them correctly but wisely. Atemu understood this and therefore did not dare talk back to his sensei, simply acknowledging his words and proceeding to follow his directions. Mystogan after preforming a sequence of hand-seals, caused several large pillars of earth to erupt and for a large oven like structure.

Presenting the large structure to his student, Mystogan gave Atemu a brief explanation and set of direction. In order to preform a new fire release technique, one that was contingent on the structure being available. Atemu focused his chakra converting it to that of the fire element by super-heating it. Proceeding to release it into the structure, it acting as a medium for a chakra allowed it to ignite and manifest flames within the box - like structure. Doing so would result in the destruction of almost anything unfortunate enough to be trapped withing the confines of the box. After preforming the technique as directed, Atemu gave his analysis and personal thought regarding the newly learned technique.

Situational, is the first word that comes to mind. Being that it requires the use of sixteen pillars, its use is overall limited. However looking at its effect when used successfully it is certainly capable of doing heavy damage, used best when the opponent is bound or restricted physically in some way then using sixteen pillars, and finally using this technique. The problem with pulling off the latter is time-frame. As one can easily destroy the structure, before the user follows up with this technique. Which leads me to a question, can this technique be use on a destroyed sixteen pillars structure. When I say destroyed I don't mean completely, for instance if the roof were gone. Would an in closed figure due to the walls being intact be sufficient, or would the structure need to be completely unharmed to use this technique?

Situational. Precisely. It's why I don't teach this technique in combination, like the others. It's only useful with a pristine Sixteen-Pillar Bind - if it's damaged to the point that there's a hole, the concentration of your chakra can't be collected to the proper amount, and the fire won't be able to sustain itself due to the nature of the jutsu. The technique comes with its own ventilation for the flame, and further exposure to the elements will reduce the concentrated heat of the inside of the oven, and we both know that heat is one of the three foundations of fire. Chips and scratches on the inside of the oven, if not completely penetrated, won't affect the fire, however.

Now, two new techniques. The first, named "Hellfire". It's an exhaled fireball, grand and imposing in size, and on contact with a solid surface - the ground, a wall, your opponent even works - it expands outwards in a majestic explosion, creating a maelstrom of flame around the point of impact. There are two things you need to consider when focusing on this technique -concentration, and size. Yes, it's concentrated fire, but it's not something small like your fist. Think more the size of your head, or even slightly larger. It's not a force to be reckoned with.

The second technique is more unique than the first. You stomp your foot on the ground, channeling your Katon chakra through the earth and to three specific points. You will choose a central point, and each of the other two must be the same distance from this central point as it's mirror. The two points also cannot be closer to each other than they are to the central point. Long story short, you make an equally-spaced wall, or an equally-spaced triangle with these chakra points in the ground. And then you let your flames burst forth. They explode upwards from the ground, spiraling as pillars of spinning fire that can even block physical attacks. Either for offensive use of attacking your opposition from beneath, or for defensive use by blocking incoming attacks, or even for supplementary usage by trapping something between the three pillars. It's a very useful technique, versatile in uses based on how spaced apart the pillars are, what formation they're in, and where you position them in relation to yourself, your opponent, and other techniques in play. As much as I praise the technique, however, it rarely employ it - Katon as an element doesn't suit me personally. I use it only when no better option presents itself.

Now, with that being said, your test. I find pressure brings out the potential in everyone.

For the first time since scolding his student, Mystogan turned around to face the young man. He reached his hand into a pouch on his side, feigning the intent to grab a weapon.

So why don't we test your mettle, Dendō?

Pulling his hand out of his pouch, Mystogan revealed his empty hand as he swung it up and across his body. His index and middle finger extended, Mystogan released a blade of wind outwards towards his student, slicing through the air as the sharp, swirling form of wind sped forwards. Obviously clearly visible to the student, Mystogan was setting him up for success, not failure, even if he wanted to present the situation as a real assault.

After sending off the wind blade, Mystogan gathered moisture from the ground beneath him and condensed it into a pillar of water which shot Mystogan through the air at a low angle, keeping him only slightly above his student's head as he flew towards the man. His scarf ruffling in the wind and pushing itself out of the way as Mystogan performed his follow-up technique, the Nekura allowed a soft malleable material to escape from his mouth, where it hardened in the air into the form of a stone golem, being fed more and more of Mystogan's chakra-infused instant-hardening earth. Moving forward with Mystogan's momentum, but dropping faster than the man because of it's bulky figure slowing it down and it's greater weight, the humanoid rock would crash into Mystogan's student while he himself flew safely overhead. This was his student's time to show Mystogan that he could strategize with what he was being taught.

(Fūton: Kaze No Yaiba) - Wind Style: Wind Blade
Rank: A-Rank
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: This technique is a pinpoint slashing strike, where the user emits chakra from their fingertips and materialises it into an near invisible weapon that assaults the enemy in a gust of wind. If the Sickle Weasel Technique can be regarded as a swarm of small wind kunai, then this technique is akin to a virtually unavoidable longsword which can leave the target's body mutilated. Just being in close proximity to the technique can cause minor cuts. The wind blades can be created and thrown, like projectiles, in rapid succession, although in this case, each one weaker than the single use application. The technique cannot be blocked by physical weapons and is insanely fast by not relying on the use of Hand seals but, because it still requires the user to perform hand gestures to use and is somewhat visible in the effect it produces, it can still be defended against by using appropriate evasion techniques or fast elemental ninjutsu.

( Suiton: Mizu Hashira Suiryoku no Jutsu ) - Water Release: Water Pillar Thrust
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and then they create water to rise up from the ground beneath the target lifting them into the air.

(Doton: Iwa no Gōremu) – Earth Release: Stone Golem
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user expels a large creature composed of stone from his mouth. The rock golem has a fair amount of stamina and brute strength, being able to bite and tear off flesh with its mouth and hands respectively. If used from above the target then the user can use the earth golem to drop down onto the opponent like a bomb and crush them. The golem can also devour earth structures and other enemy attacks, biting and chewing on it.

(Katon: Gōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Hellfire Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and breath out from their mouth a large fireball that travels at the opponent. As it reaches the opponent it bursts into a maelstrom of fire engulfing them in flames.

( Katon: Gōka Honoo no Hashira Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fire Flame Pillars Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will knead their fire chakra and release it into the ground by stomping down their leg and then causing three pillars of fire several meters tall spaced out evenly. The Pillars of fire can act as a defensive wall against incoming techniques or targets or used to attack low aerial targets.
