I understand, pretty useful indeed.
Good, now that you got the basic principle for the first method, I have to point out that all of these are pretty much the same and vary is details. This means that you don't need to perform them anymore. I will post them and explain them and from you I expect you to give me your opinions about them, some situations where you could use them, how would you react to someone else using it against you and if you have any questions regarding them, feel free to ask.

( Ryu Kaen Bakufuu ) - Dragon Flame Blitz

A simple fireball, just like the one you've been performing. It's small and weak, so not too much of uses for it. You can still evaporate water kunai for example, or small projectiles like that, but take rank into consideration. Fire is still weak against water.

( Kaen Shuriken Ranbu ) - Blazing Shuriken Dance

Description: The user will throw several shuriken at the enemy and then inflames them with fire to cause extra damage.

So you throw your shuriken and then blow out a few fireballs that engulf the shuriken and race towards the opponent. Pretty straightforward. It's also a good technique against certain wind techniques. There is one specific that this would work perfectly with. It's a wind wall that explodes on contact with objects and this would just add a bit more to it. :)

The fireball ignites externally.

Well, exactly as the name says: just a greater fireball. The execution method is a bit different because you need the handseals to mold the chakra easier and you exhale it through a circle made by your fingers. Other than that, it's a standard fireball and it follows all strengths and weaknesses of this method.

( Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique

Description: The user first performs six hand seals Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger and they create a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.

These are actually created from your hands. You simply release the chakra into your hands and shape manipulate it into fireballs that you throw as you swing your arms. As the description says, you can also conceal ninja tools to surprise your opponent. And since you can control the shuriken you can, for example, let them fly in a wide arc towards your opponent. While doing so, it gives you time to prepare a second attack while your opponent is defending against those. Since it's safe to assume that he'll defend with some water balls you can use earth or even lightning against him.

The flames are divided to launch a left side, right side, and frontal assault in all three directions at once, turning the enemy into ash in a matter of seconds.

It's a great technique because it splits into 3 and attacks your opponent form all directions but the drawback is that the power of each individual flame is 1/3 of B rank.

( Bakuhatsu Enhogan ) – Exploding Flame Shots

Great technique for disorienting the opponent. If you can make one explode near his ears expect him to stumble for a few moments, which is more than enough for you to finish him.

( Katon: Hiendan ) – Fire Release: Soaring Flame Bullet

You remember how you can't avoid jutsus by simply jumping above them? Well, with this one you can. Due to it's description, it allows you to just and shoot the fireballs. However, you have to make sure you're jump is realistic and that you're not jumping 100m in the air. With this you can avoid some earth spikes or water rivers for example.

( Katon: Gōryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique

The Kirin. You use this one to heat up the atmosphere and create the clouds. If you're un-interrupted, in your next turn you can create a chidori and take over the lightning to strike the opponent with Kirin. You gotta be careful and try to mask the jutsu somehow. If the opponent finds out what your intentions are, it might backfire at you and he could use the Kirin against you.

( Katon: Hōsenka Tsumabeni ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson

Due to the chakra-based nature of the flames that surround them, the shuriken will continue to burn after impact, regardless of the flammability of the object that they ultimately collide with.

Similar as the previous one. You throw a line of shuriken and you quickly exhale flames onto them. They don't explode but they keep burning.

(Katon: Zukokku) - Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work

When combined with Wind Release: Pressure Damage, this technique is amplified to the point of being able to evaporate a large amount of water in an instant.

Best used in conjunction with Pressure Damage. It can, however, be used as a stand-alone technique. It travels along the ground and it erupts into a giant storm.

(Katon: Gōka no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Hellfire Technique

The temperature of the created flames is so great that, even with the briefest of contact, they are capable of easily burning human flesh and the fireballs are dense enough to behave almost as solid, being able to deliver impact damage in adition to the fire damage. However, this also means that they can be deflected as a solid projectiles.

Their main quality is that they're solid so they have some impact damage too and they're not just energy. But because of that they are considered as solid projectiles and can be blown away with strong wind techniques.

(Katon: Bakuryūgeki) - Fire Release: Exploding Dragon Strike

(Katon Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Hitora Bakufu) - Fire Release Summoning Technique: Fire Tiger Explosion

Well I would use the Exploding Flame Shots if I'm trying to end a fight since if the technique is executed correctly, it'll leave me an opening to finish my opponent off as he/she will be in a state of totter from the explosion.

I would only consider using this jutsu against small projectiles as its chakra cost is pretty low

I would use this technique in a scenario where either I am trying to clash with multiple projectile being fired at me or if I wanted to use it as a form of distraction as I ready a more effective technique.

( Katon: Komakai Kaki ) - Fire Release: Small Fire
I don’t see it as something really useful but if I run low on chakra, this could be my last resort

( Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
I would simply use this if I’m being attacked by a smaller projectile and I want to cancel out the projectile as well as an attempt to hurt the opponent.

( Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique
As this is more of a distraction technique I can use it to confuse my opponent while using shurikens as my direct form of attack.

( Katon: Rakka Sanran Kasai ) - Fire Release: Falling Fire Scatter
Being in the air will give me a slight advantage as in certain scenarios I won’t have to worry about canceling the opponent’s jutsu attacking him/her directly from above.

( Katon: Kitsunebi ) - Fire Release: Fire Whisp
The fact that it can be long range helps me cover distance if I wanted to avoid any of my opponent’s short range attacks.

A very useful jutsu as I can use it to dodge as well as attack. Feels like a hybrid between Falling Fire Scatter and great blaze ball

If I had the ability to use lightning it would be an effective jutsu, but as of now I see it as just another strong offensive attack

This is a good powerful technique that I can use to my liking since even if it doesn’t connect to my opponent it can still damage him/her due to its severe heat.

Incredibly strong technique with a nice exploding effect.

I like the fact that it homes in on my target and attaches itself to him/her, ensuring that my attack hits. Very effective.

Good, I've read your opinion and I agree with it. As you can see, these are all projectiles and can be defended against with projectiles of other elements. Water would do best but you can also use earthen walls and structures to stop or re-direct the fire. Now, do you have any questions about the method or any of the techniques?

Good, then how about we start with method2? :)

Method 2: Fire Streams/Constant Fires

Think of a flamethrower, you shoot out a constant flame, non-stop which generally gets wider as the flame extends more and towards the center where the flames are coming out is where the flame is the strongest. Now not all techniques in this category are like that but you get the general idea with this basic explanation. Typically there is little shape manipulation required as you're releasing a stream of uncontrolled flames. In terms of building chakra for this method it's a little different than in the previous method. With projectiles the user gathers all their chakra into one central focus point and releases the chakra all in one burst or divided in several bursts of compact fire chakra with its own set of energy. With techniques in this method, the users builds up the required chakra and releases and then simply releases it in a steady flow outwards towards their target and they maintain that steady flow until the chakra they've built up for the technique is no longer there. This means that techniques using this method has its power spread out evenly throughout the large flame as opposed to several individualized burst of chakra that have their own capabilities.

There are other types of constant fires that don't fit within this flamethrower analogy. There are a few techniques in this method that allow for one to freely manipulate the flames in the direction that they travel. These techniques would typically possess shape manipulation properties, confining the area in which the flames hits and moving the flames around in different directions and constructing shapes. There are even cases where several constant fire streams are divided, traveling towards a single point where the flames would converge into a much larger flame.

When using basic constant streams typically the process would be
~Gather the amount of chakra needed for the technique
~channel it up to the point of release
~Release in a constant stream of flames until the chakra runs out

Depending on the type of stream, you may need to place in there
~Confine the flames to a certain width
~use shape manipulation to alter the shape or direction of the flame's travel

Advantages to Method

With constant flames, you have a set level of power coursing throughout your entire technique, as opposed to projectiles where you may end up releasing several projectiles with limited strength. You also have a larger range of fire with these techniques for the most part. With projectiles just covering single points, to a certain distance, constant stream based fire technique provide you with a wider area of attack.

Disadvantages to Method

The biggest disadvantage these types of techniques seem to have is the weakness of being unable to perform another technique while the one they currently use is in effect. With projectiles, you channel all the chakra for the technique into that one (or several) shot(s) of fire and once it's released, you're freed up to preform even more techniques for attack or defense, etc, etc. However, with constant flames, you're constantly fueling the chakra and feeding the technique. Without Yin Yang release to possibly control more elements at once, the user must stop the technique they're doing to change natures or even techniques of the same nature. This gives your opponent various openings, attacking you with a technique that forces you to maintain that technique while they attack from different angels. If they have the free hands and you don't they can easily take advantage of that, leaving you helpless.

I was thinking more towards fire's weakness, water. There's a method with water techniques that involves streams. It works perfectly well against fire streams because you can fuel your stream of water as long as the opponent doesn't stop his stream of fire.

I was thinking more towards fire's weakness, water. There's a method with water techniques that involves streams. It works perfectly well against fire streams because you can fuel your stream of water as long as the opponent doesn't stop his stream of fire.
Ah I see, sounds simple enough.

It is. You should've come up with that. :p

Alright then, how about performing a continuous stream of fire for 10 seconds? The principle is the same as for the fireballs, except you don't have to focus so much on shape manipulating the technique. However, you have to gather more chakra in order to maintain it.

Meh, I overthink things and miss the obvious occasionally.

Alright I feel that my chakra flow is increasing and is moving at a faster rate to increase its heat as it focuses in around my stomach area but this time I use even more chakra. A warm burning sensation is felt as I take a bigger inhale than I normally would for a fireball jutsu. My diaphragm contracts and moves down to increase my chest volume allowing a concentration of my chakra to flow up into my lungs due to the pressure. The chakra then reaches my mouth where once I exhale, the chakra will react to the oxygen and combust into fire and I maintain this steady stream of fire for 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10 seconds.

Meh, I overthink things and miss the obvious occasionally.

Alright I feel that my chakra flow is increasing and is moving at a faster rate to increase its heat as it focuses in around my stomach area but this time I use even more chakra. A warm burning sensation is felt as I take a bigger inhale than I normally would for a fireball jutsu. My diaphragm contracts and moves down to increase my chest volume allowing a concentration of my chakra to flow up into my lungs due to the pressure. The chakra then reaches my mouth where once I exhale, the chakra will react to the oxygen and combust into fire and I maintain this steady stream of fire for 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10 seconds.
Alright. First batch. Now, please tell me how do you think you would defend against these techniques.

( Katon no Jutsu ) - Fire Release Technique

I really don't see much difference from the previous one. Other than being slightly stronger and bigger, but with shorter reach.

With this technique you can create several forms. This means that as you're exhaling it you can turn your head in different directions. We're ween it being spit onto the ground and then followed up by a wind technique to create a flaming tornado. However, you are not limited only to this combination since you have a certain freedom.

One of Sasuke's signature techniques from part 1. He caught Naruto with wires and then blew fire along them. They easily ignited and set the cords on fire only to find a substitution instead of the real Naruto. Another useful scenario I see is, for example; you fight with a long stick and you swing it at your opponent but he catches it and prevents you from hitting it. While he's holding it you simply breathe the fire along it which will force him to drop the stick, letting you smack him once more. :p

Everything is as it was. You're allowed to use any way to defend yourself. This is just for me to hear your opinion. If you're using a correct method to defend against a certain jutsu it shows me that you also understand its offensive application. If it's a defensive jutsu then you obviously don't need to defend against it, but then tell me when would you use it to defend yourself.

Hm, alright. You defended against most of these with fire when water has the natural advantage. You can always use water to put out fire. In certain situations you can also use a stronger wind technique to take advantage of the fire. For example, instead of letting your opponent create a flaming tornado with running flames you intercept him and make it yourself and turn his own technique onto himself. Now, questions?

I find it magnificent that during the training nobody never has any questions and as soon as the training is over and the student wants a fight he keeps bugging everyone because he doesn't know how to use certain techniques. A cool technique, but nothing special or unique. You can more or less do the same with any fire jutsu and you can get even stronger combinations with stronger jutsus. You make a handseal and spit a stream of fire. As the description suggests it works very well with the earth technique because it will heat the earth, making heated earthen globules that can be quite painful when in contact with skin.

( Katon: Benijigumo ) - Fire Release: Crimson Earth Spider

After you perform the handseals you spew out your chakra and create a wall of fire around your opponent and then you transform the wall into a spider that will attack him, while he's trapped and surrounded by the fire. It's a cool technique overall but it can just as well backfire if the opponent uses a strong enough wind.

( Katon: Hi no Iki ) - Fire Release: Fire Breath

Just as the description is short on words, so will I be. This is the most basic stream of fire you can imagine. It's best when you imagine yourself as a kid watching a cartoon on tv and seeing a dragon spewing fire. It's just like that. It has the same characteristics as every other stream, except that it's B ranked and mid ranged. Other than that, it's fire and it's hot, lol.
