( Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger, a ninja inhales air, and utilizing a large amount of fire chakra, spews a large fireball from their mouth after blowing through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user, incinerating everything in range. The fireball ignites externally. The fire ball can present itself in 2 forms: it can either be created by a stream of fire and sustained as a gigantic ball of flames in front of the user spanning up to short range or be released as a slightly smaller ball of fire which will travel towards the enemy up to mid range.

Zhoom starts by weaving the Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger handsigns required for the jutsu. He then starts channelling chakra into his lungs, he uses nature transformation to change the regular chakra into fire chakra. He then makes a ring with his thumb and index finger and proceeds to exhale the fir chakra out of his lung in the shape of ball.

Advantage: When used a fireball the ball of fire is large and can block people line of sight.

How would I defend: I would simply use a C-Rank suiton jutsu to extinguish the fireball.

Okay, you basically throw an opened lighter, and through chakra manipulation you increase the strength and size of the open fire, expanding it into a wall of fire that can be used for protection. This can burn items thrown towards the enemy, and it can act as a shield to prevent the enemy from going closer.

  • I could use it if I wanted to create a space between me and my enemy
  • Could use it to block income projectile like shuriken and kunai along with other Justus as long as they're not B-Rank and above or suiton.
  • I could be used to simply hinder your opponents line of sight.

Analysis:
  • By using this technique in the form of a ring of fire which runs along the ground this could force your enemy to have jump into the air leaving them vulnerable, this would allow to land other justsu on your opponent much easier.
  • Using this justu along with Divine Wind can cause an tornado around you opponent which trap you opponent allow you to get off multiple other combos.
  • Flames ring can be used to block Justus that take the form of multiple mini projectiles.
  • If this move is not used with any wind Justus it can be easily overpowered due to it's rank.

Okay, literally every technique can be used in conjunction with another element, it doesn't have to say it specifically in the technique description, but of course it must be logical. Like, you can't expect to use that technique in conjunction with a water B-rank technique, because the B-rank technique would easily extinguish it. But you can use another, maybe C-rank wind technique to amplify and strengthen the fire in terms of size and heat, and C+C =B-rank. When dealing with elemental combinations, just make sure it can be done logically. ;p

And that's good enough, we're just in C-rank anyways.

This requires a line or something that connects you from one place to another. This is often used with those strings most ninjas have. Basically, you perform four hand seals and muster up fire chakra and then release a flame along the cord, which rushes forward with great speed, igniting the target on the opposite end of the cord. It's meant to attack the upper body and a line of enemies can be used for the "conductor" but thats highly unlikely since most battles are 1v1.

Give me pros and cons for this technique.

You exhale a flame from your mouth through the tiger hand seal. It is a stream of flames so you can't perform other techniques while the stream is being released. It works effectively with the earth dragon bullets in which it can ignite it creating an elemental combination of Earth and fire, increasing its lethality.

This is basically just a stream of fire, reaching up to mid range, created with one hand seal. Questions?

Cons:

  • Not really a strong justu can be counter with a c-rank suiton.
  • The AoE of the attack is really small, it could be easily evaded.
  • Could be possibly counter by another weaker justu due to is small range (A D-Rank wave of water)

You perform six hand seals above and create a good number of small fireballs as projectiles, released at an unpredictable manner to attack the enemy. These flames are controlled via chakra, so evasion is not the best defense.
You can hide shurikens within these flames, adding a sense of deception because not only can it burn, it can slice through.

How would you use this in battle? How would you defend against it?

  • I would take advantage of the ability to control each fireball and use it force my opponent into a certain postion which will be advantageous for me.
How would a defend against this:


  • Use a large scale C-Rank and above suiton to effectively put out all of the fireballs.
  • Use a move like mud wall to black all the fireballs coming infront of me.

Advantages:

  • Using this would be a good in order to corner your opponent, if they were forced into mid air using this on the ground below will leave them with a safe are to land in.
  • If use conjunction with a wind move the AoE could block off most of the battlefield.
Disadvantages:

  • The AoE is small and easy to avoid if you don't use the move effectively
  • Can put out with just a B-Rank water justu.
Performing the move:

Zhoom performs the hand signs Ram → Horse → Snake → Dragon → Rat → Ox → Tiger and he kneads fire chakra into hit lungs and expels it as a stream of fire which quickly incarnates the test dummy and melting the ground where the stream travelled.

Well almost if not all basic projectile fire moves, start off with molding chakra into ones lungs and converting it into fire chakra, releasing it through the lungs which results in fire projectiles that can be released from mouth for the most by exhaling all the stored up fire chakra. Basic projectiles in this case are a lot of the time used a distraction, this is due to usually being able to fire off multiple projectiles and sometimes can even control their course once left your mouth e.g. The Phoenix Sage Fire Technique. This could be good to force your opponent to dodge allowing you to co ordinate another based on how you forced them to dodge. While basic fire move can also be used to conceal weapons like kunais in them, while when used in conjunction with fuuton moves to increase the potency and area of effect of the attack.

Yeah, first projectiles are good because most times, they are wide and swift, coveting a lot of ground and in some cases, they don't have to exactly hit tl do damage. There are some Fire projectiles that are intensely hot and heat the air around it.

Advantages
Techniques in this category are quick releases, designed to attack in short to long range scenarios against big single targets, with normal movement speed. Just like projectiles, once they leave your hand it frees you up to attack again with more projectiles or even other types of techniques. Techniques in this category allow for you to launch several shots in succession in most cases allowing you to barrage your opponents from several different angles possibly or use them as a distraction or ploy to force them in directions that would be beneficial to you. Large enough projectiles will make it difficult for your opponents to avoid, but not impossible. There can be issues with visibility, allowing you to block your opponent's vision while you plot a sneak attack. However visibility aspect is a double edged sword in most cases. You won't necessarily be able to see them unless you have sensory abilities. These techniques are better used in closer distances to disable both the ability to dodge and counter but also to make full use of the speed of these projectiles. The closer you are, the less time they have to hit the opponent.

Disadvantages

Though quick in release, once projectiles are released you have no control over them. It's generally the same in every case with projectile based weaponry minus attachments like wire that allow you control. However in the case of chakra based projectiles like these, after exhaling exit from the point of release there is no real control over the projectiles. The direction you've launched is where it will go and it could be very easy to avoid them with basic techniques that could move you out of the line of fire, like Earth Release Technique or the popular hurricane fist into the air. There is the problem of the rapid fire projectiles. As said previously, as you're allowed to fire multiple shots from certain techniques, yet they don't all have the power of that particular rank, their collective power combined = the rank of the technique as a whole. What this means is, as you divide the projectiles into several shots, they considerably get weaker allowing for your opponent to exploit the weakness. Some techniques may converge at a single point (usually the target) so that they may not be able to avoid harm by just attacking individual shots, there is still that possibility. Those who try to cover a wider range with more projectiles will leave themselves at a disadvantage. The opponent can protect just their frontal or the area of where they're attacking by using weaker attacks protect against individually weaker fireballs or fire projectiles. Another big disadvantage is this method is that these techniques aren't very prone to combos with other techniques, especially those of other elements. The projectiles are generally so compressed and dense that they explode on contact, preventing them from melting or heating earth that could be used in a combo with them. The sheer concept of a projectile makes it less prone to be comboed with wind or lightning as the projectiles would require insane precision to be comboed with a wind or lightning technique. Projectiles aren't also very usable with water for the same reason as earth as the projectiles would simply "rupture" and not deliver its effect due to the small time in contact with the combo technique. The main disadvantages are that projectiles are fast yes, but less versatile in combat and for the most part, easy to defend
