top 5 most skilled shinobi

I am surprised you didn't include Madara who was killing seasoned Senju Clan members without the Sharingan and Sasuke, who was hailed as a genius - people like Shikamaru looked up to him - and developed his own repertoire of Raiton attacks. If this isn't skilled then I don't know what is. Orochimaru and Tsunade should also be on the list. The former was a prodigy that appeared once every few decades. He was clearly superior to Minato and was only denied the position because of suspicions. Tsunade developed medical techniques on her own, hence she's also a prodigy in her own filed, hence even Kabuto is.

I don't understand Minato in that list. His feats are extremely lack-luster and yet, this guy is in every damn list. I ca understand all the people in that list, but not Minato.

4- Tobirama - ninjutsu genius(Edo Tensei, Hiraishin)

1 Itachi (unlocked his Sharingan at a very young age was anbu captain pwned a lot of strong shinobis)
2 Nagato (no explanation needed)
3 Kabuto (the only character who was able to put up a good fight against Itachi and wasn't one-panel-trolled like everyone else)
4 Hiruzen (the only character with 5 5 5 and the only hokage who's not a senju or a relative of the main char)
5 Minato (one of the fastest people in NV has FTG, RDS, invented rasengan one of the best offensive techs sealed the Kyuubi)

1. Itachi unlocking the Sharingan isn't an example of skill, and really it was a cheat device to allow him to improve faster. Other characters progressed equally as fast, or faster, without a Sharingan. Madara didn't have a Sharingan as a kid and was still killing elite Senjus, and he obviously got stronger when he unlocked the Sharigan. Itachi also had an "in" with the elders.

2. Hmm, hard to say. His "talent" may or may not had stemmed from the Rinnegan.

3. He's the only character that wasn't gimped against Itachi.

4. True, but really, doesn't that perhaps make him the most skilled? He was that incredible all on his own without any special genetics. Kabuto's similar, but he stole everything.

5. Same as above.

I'm thinking there are other characters that should be noted on the list.

Why Nagato? Well he was strong as fck, but what did make him skilled? He had Rinnegan+Uzumaki dna = hax power

I would rather say Oro>Nagato in terms of skill

Imo,

1. Itachi

2. Hashirama

3. Hiruzen

5. [unknown, but I'd guess Tobirama]

These guys are all extremely talented in every art: taijutsu, genjutsu, ninjutsu, and more.

Itachi's so young, too.




I'm pretty sure 13 year old Itachi was Kakashi's ANBU leader.

And 11 year old Itachi beat Orochimaru. Something Kakashi couldn't do until 30 (still amazing.)

He was 13, and he repelled a dying Orochimaru that was trying to take his body. Sasuke has the same feat.

I'd say your list is pretty good, could see reasons why those characters are there. Obviously there are other highly skilled shinobi, like Orochimaru, Sasuke, Kimimaro seemed pretty skilled for his age. Gai is also another very skilled ninja.

It has also been stated by other characters, and the databook, that Itachi was 13. He became an Anbu captain, slaughtered his clan, and joined Akatsuki when he was 13. He was wearing an Akatsuki attire when confronted by Orochimaru.

Orochimaru got out of bed.

Itachi did repel his attempt at taking his body using that paralyzing genjutsu, just like Sasuke did.

Orochimaru was trying to take Sasuke's body and he used that genjutsu, to which Orodhimaru said "it's happening again." and we're shown a flashback of Itachi resisting Orochimaru's attempts at a soul transfer. Before that, Sasuke also said that Orochimaru tried and failed to take Itachi's body.

Sasuke has the same feat, and Sasuke was far weaker than Orochimaru then.

Hiruzen was "the god of shinobi" and "the professor" when he was younger. Itachi's nin-tai-gen may had been high, but they weren't perfect like Hiruzen's. You're ranking Itachi higher by just giving him credit, when he still wasn't as good as Hiruzen.
