Top 10 prodigies in Naruto

5.Gaara (was one of the most powerful shinobis as a pre-teen. He was the main tool to use against Konoha during Oro's invasion. He was powerful enough to become a kage by 16)
6.Tsunade (It's been stated that she's the reason Konoha won the second ninja world war, she also managed to get a bell from Hiruzen, and as a teenager she was known as the greatest medical ninja in the world she graduated the academy at 6, created the techniques for other medical ninja to use and found a way to regenerate entire organs, and an expert in concocting and treating poisons.)
7.Jiraiya (another obvious one, as a kid it seems Tsunade out-powered him)
8.Kakashi (graduated the academy at 5, moved to chunin at 6 and a jonin at 12ish, created the chidori right after becoming a jonnin, learned the rasengan before becoming a jonin, and awakened the MS)
9.Hiruzen (hype based)
10.Naruto (he was a bit of a late bloomer, but within 4 years his power level went from academy student to past kage level. However I will not count Kurama in his strength because it's not really his. Kurama can be taken away. But he still has sage mode and thats a feat. And he has managed to use KM without Kurama agreeing. so that's another feat
11.Rock Lee (He has absolutely no skill in Ninjutsu but is still a formidable shinobi through sheer hard work)
12. Neji He managed to teach himself advanced forms of gentle fist while being in the branch family. He's made it to jonnin by 16
*Note I didn't include Nagato because it was his doujutsu doing the majority of the work. We don't know his power without the doujutsu but gathering from the fact that Jiraiya his teacher thought he died in some unnamed incident it probably wasn't too great.
Madara's past is too full on mystery to comment on
and Hashirama with a very useful mutation. we can't really say too much about him though.

I define prodigy as people who have awesome ability who arent mainstream who everyone isnt looking at and are great. Who may not be overall prodigy but have a niche.

kakashi and orochimaru may be stronger than the average shinobi but they are no prodigies

and there is no way in hell nagato can be a prodigy when tobi gave him the eyes in the first place, he was not born with shit, he is an uzumaki which is not directly related to the rikudo sage

He probably achieved Sharingan younger than Sasuke and potentially Itachi. He is basically Nagato, but with more talent, potential, and intelligence.

AND those are definitely his OWN eyes (I say 'definitely' cause Nagato being given the Rinnegan is still a theory til proven fact)

Sasuke was about eight when he got his Sharingan, so yeah, there's not a doubt in my mind he and Izuna got theirs much younger.

I think that anyone that Naruto beat should not be on the top 10 if Naruto is not himself. For example, Nagato. Also, Itachi should be in the top 3 of everyone's list. He could take on any shinobi in my opinion. He acknowleged Naruto's power and, to me, that means alot being that Itachi is hard to impress. I also think that Madara would be highly impressed with Itachi's powers and even though I love Minato, I think that Itachi could take him on. I think that they're equal in power. Itachi owns even after death. He is the 2nd best character in the manga next to Naruto and I'm aware that i'm a major Naruto fangirl so you don't have to comment on it.

True, but the power of Madara, Itachi, and Sasuke mostly stems from their Sharingan, so there you go.

And I do consider dojutsu an outside source of power, otherwise you wouldn't be able to take them and make use of them after the bearer is dead (i.e. they would die with them)

1. minato (minato graduated at ten an had accomplished more than any ninja at that age including kabuto an was very gifted in taijutsu, ninjutsu, an seals)
2. Itachi (is arguable for first cause he also graduated at a young age an was head of anbu i believe as well, an was very gived in taijustu,genjutsu, an ninjustu)
3. Oro(he was really smart lol)
4. Neji(was a genius at his age way above sasuke i believe at the time of the chuinn exams)
5. young kakashi( same reason as neji, its arguable between the two)

i agree with six honestly she might be higher in the ranks cause i didnt know all that. But gaara an naruto, i wouldnt call prodigies, maybe naruto but not gaara, he was jus really strong an he's defence made him difficult. A prodigy wouldnt of jus stood there in that sand ball an let the chidori hit him rather he didnt think it would go through or not. I would keep goin but i honestly dont feel like typing alot. An my list mostly on counts them if they were young.

These 4 just demolish anyone else in terms of pure skill.

Naruto, before he was a genin, taught himself an A rank jutsu (shadow clone jutsu). As a genin, he managed to perfect the summoning jutsu to summon Gamabunta, and the rasengan, another A rank jutsu.

Minato was a genius, I don't need to explain this one.

Sasuke was super skilled, his taijutsu and ninjutsu skills were crazy good at age 12. He has probably some of the most advanced ninjutsu for his age, and is one of the most powerful ninjas ever at 16.

Itachi, trolled a Sannin in under a minute at the age of 13. Master of nin-, tai-, and genjutsu. Awakened the MS at 11? Destroyed the strongest clan in the strongest village by himself at age 13.

Dude have you not watched or read any of the mangas or episodes???? first kakashi actually became a jonin at 11, correction the rasengan is an s rank justsu, itachi awakened the 3 tamoe sharingan not MS he gained that after he met with shisui, and itachi had help from madara destroying the uchiha clan come on dude good points just all messed up and jus saying itachi was head of the anbu at the age of 12 sooooooo way better feat then the others

The kid pretty much should not have been able to move let alone fight. Yet he fought Naruto. Lee and Gaara in a gauntlet match with sole will power and pretty much beat them all. One can only imagine his skill if he was healthy. He was a prodigy as well. Prodigies have to be young talents. You have to remember he was originally chosen by oro b4
My arguments for some of your characters it that we don't know I they were talented young we only know how skillful they were once they were older. Your going on speculation.

You do realize Naruto was cheated out of his Chunin rank? what i mean is, he was the only one in the exam that didn't lost and yet shik got promoted instead. And before you go on the bs about "kyuuby help" lets get one thing straight, The tail beast were use for one goal which was to infuse a ninja with extra power/chakra which means that's their own power/tool. The same goes for sasuke and his curse mark.

The way i see it is Naruto was cheated out of Chunin/jounin rank before TimeSkip, so he earn his place on the list.

Wrong! Naruto was only able to summon gamabunta because of the fox (period), and the rasengan isnt great! Konohamaru learned it with out a teacher! No jman, no naruto (i think), no minato!!!!

He is the most average shinobi with out the fox period!!!

Itachi didnt destroy the clan by himself! And it was a surprise attack not a full battle! Dont overrate what he did. And where did it say he awakened ms at 11????

Sasuke blows itachi and naruto out the waters in this category in terms of Pre-MS/EMS!

Minato is probably the best in this catagory with no KG/ great clan etc etc.

Kakashi, neji, sasuke, minato, itachi, haku and many others are close in terms of this catagory.

Shikamaru is no where close to this list! lol
