... Um, where was Tobi when Nagato was 12 ? Basically if I understand your point, Tobi gave Nagato the Rinnegan when he was 12.. ? Since the first time we've seen Nagato with the Rinnegan, was at 12 years old.. ? How does that make sense.. ? How is it possible if Nagato activated the Rinnegan by himself, and/or because of a stressful situation, where he had to protect his comrades or after his parents died, that Tobi gave him the Rinnegan when he already had it to begin with......?

Second thing I'd like to point out, why MUST you be an Uchiha to later on have the Rinnegan by surpassing EMS if Nagato wasn't an Uchiha ? This is so entirely new, since Rinnegan was more or so the father of Sharingan, and seeing that alot of have forgotten about this bloodline trait, but the Byakugan as well ! It's probably not the thread to debate this on, but give it a thought.

Kakashi was a Jounin, lets make that clear. Nagato is more of a destiny child, hence the prophecy theory of Nagato using the Rinnegan to bring peace to the world. Itachi is really not so much a prodigy either, he is more a story pusher. Additionally, Sasuke definitely is a prodigy, because he is the last living member of a rare blood-line limit clan. I agree that Orochimaru is a prodigy, he was one of the strongest legendary Sannins, and taught by Sarutobi, the Third Hokage himself. Jiraiya is more of a clown, but incredibly strong. Tsunade is a prodigy of Hashirama.

My list contains characters from my own opinion and therefore none of you need to show any hate unless you are just ***s.
1. Minato
2. Itachi
3. Kakashi
4. Orochimaru
5. Kabuto
6. Haku
7. Hashirama
8. Madara
9. Hiruzen
10. Shikamaru
11, Sasori.
The reason i included Minato at the top of my list was because he was a "Genius" As jiraiya stated, A genius that appears only once in his generation. and that he graduated Academy at age 6/5, became chunin bout 8/9, and a jounin bout 10/11 IDK.. and the fact that he was chosen to be a hokage at a very very young age.
Hiruzen because of his nickname "God of Shinobi" Meaning he was acknowledged from a very young age to be extremely talented and gifted by his predcessors, and that he earnt his name by mastering elements, and mastering kage lvl jutsus / ECT,
Haku because he's the only one in the series to be able to perform one handed handseals, if he was still alive, IMO he could be on par with kakashi.

Right derp, definitely a prodigy, born of Hashiramas cells. I do not mean to be mean, but he is also a sort of science experiment to infuse those different genes/powers.you have forgotten yamato

I do disagree with a couple of the people on the list. You forgot one key person that everyone seems to overlook. The third hokage should definitely be on this list. In my opinion he is the strongest ninja I have seen on the show so far. Before everyone says I'm crazy look at the facts. The guy was considered the professor being able to use any jutsu in the leaf village. Thats dang impressive. Plus the fight that he lost his life in, He was in his 70s and defeated the first and second hokage in their prime in edo form twice and almost killed Orochimaru. An we know that the first defeated Madara. So in my opinion he is the top. My list goes.

Maybe cause Tobi found him before he met Jiraiya?
They were definitely younger than 12, man. Age and looks in Naruto tend to be a bit unbalanced, idkw. And where do you get 11 years from? What are you accounting for?
So far as I've looked into it, all we saw when his parents died was him to start to cry, get angry, and then it cuts to him waking up with the Rinnegan and the two shinobi. Tobi probably made him blackout and killed those shinobi, then while he was out cold, transplanted Madara's Rinnegan into him. If he really did have it transplanted, that would've had to have been how it happened. As for the Byakugan, it's most likely related to the Sharingan, but Kishi would have to explain their connection further first. It can't be one of the three great dojutsu and not be heard from since part 1.
Yeah, he couldn't have been more than eight or nine in that flashback chapter. He probably met Konan and Yahiko a few days after their deaths and Jiraiya maybe a month later, so had they started training when he was around nine, he definitely could've learned 'em all by ten.
BTW, wasn't this thread supposed to be about the best prodigies, not the old "Tobi gave Nagato the RG" theory?

People go to the academy at different years. It doesn't really have any meaning when they graduated.

Take Itachi, he graduated at 7 in one year, which means he went at 6.
Sasuke graduated in one year at age 12, but he was still a prodigy.
Graduation dates mean nothing, Minato as a youngster would troll Kakashi. Just like Sasuke, Naruto, Neji, and especially Itachi.
