I gather my suiton chakra and release it a current of water is formed I slowly shape it into a dragon shape, but I fail and the water crashes down.. I continue to try each time getting closer, over time I think I get it to the right shape... what do you think, can I try it on a clone?

I gather my suiton chakra and release it into the ground causing water to rise up and travel towards a tree of in the distance as a slicing jet, the water hit's the tree but nothing happens, I put more power in the attack and try again, this time the tree get's cut.. I do it again adding more chakra into the Jutsu, the tree gets split right down the center...
