He has to materialize before he can teleport and the teleportation process is relatively slow so he can be attacked in that time perod.

Agree.

@Son of Odin: What makes you think Naruto can dodge Tobi's space time ninjutsu? The only one who should was Minato, because he teleported. Tobi stated that he should use ST faster and take him.

Naruto has enough speed. I'm sure he can escape Tobi's S/T. And that's if Tobi can actually get to him.

on that pic tobi got mad because naruto was suppose to slip through him

I think he wasn't expecting Naruto to be that fast.

Defensively he can avoid any and all attacks or just warp away. I repeat:

Defensively he can avoid any and all attacks or just warp away.

Offensively he can teleport others and trap them permanently. Any opponent can be taken in this way. It is basically a sealing technique, because as of yet, there is NO way to escape his dimension.

He can locate anyone anywhere (like we saw vs Minato), he can travel anywhere instantly and can hold victims in his dimension for future use. For example Torune.

Tobi has shown to be able to turn things he touches intangible also. So he could make Gedo Mazo intangible if he wanted.

The only weakness is the 5 min limit, which only one person after years of following/studying managed to figure out. It can only be countered by a continuous attack which lasts 5 minutes.

No other single technique is this versatile.

really tobi has the best techs lol we have seen in the manga, no way he got beat by minato when he attack the leaf and seem to be a little scare of itachi. now itachi is the person you should have made this thread about now his jutsu list is amazing

Even tho Tobi's S/T jutsu is more advanced then Tobirama and Minato... But they can still hit tobi.. Because he has to materialize to catch a opponent.. Plus Konan ****ed up tobi.

And Naruto can match up to Tobi now wether in Kyuubi mode or in Bijuu mode. ^.^

So its not the greatest Technique in Manga. That would be perfect susano'o having the power to slice 3-4 mountains.

You can't get away space time ninjutsu, only way is to teleport if you have time. Speed isnt everything, you know

Only? he can also trap people in his dimension at will.
not requiring seals is a huge feat.
Show me where FTG is faster than Tobi's S/T WITHOUT it being a trick that Minato used. Didn't think so.

do u remember when tobi was sucking minato.....and minato was able to escape that...this proves that FTG is definitely faster BUT not BETTER THAN S/T JUTSU OF TOBI. For FTG TO BE USED ON PAR WITH TOBI'S S/T JUTSU ONE NEEDS SKILLS LIKE MINATO...SO I WILL SAY THIS....AS FAR AS "THE WHOLE MECHANISM AS A WHOLE OR THE JUTSU" IS CONCERNED.....TOBI'S IS MORE VERSATILE AND BETTER...

I see, but I already agreed that Tobi's jutsu is better. Although it does have a couple drawbacks.

Still I don't see what difference it would have made whether Tobi gave FTG more credit than he did. Minato would've still teleported out of it right?

I agree with the drawbacks. However I'm asserting that its warping jutsu can catch a Hiraishin user. Tobi and Minato suggested that Tobi could doubtlessly end Minato if he touched him again- that is a testament to the jutsu's power.

If the technique could be used as fast as ftg then yeah it would be the best but it's not that fast so ftg is better

Tobi's S/T is better. FTG is faster.
Both of these have a small amount of weaknesses though.
For example, Tobi's S/T could be countered by an instantanious teleportation technique. I'm not so sure if Raw Speed would counter it though, since it seems like the area gets pulled in like a black hole when he sucks people in. Which speed wouldn't overcome but teleportation can. Intangibility could be countered by any technique that attacks nonstop for more than 5 minutes. An example of this was Konan's technique that spams explosions for 10 minutes straight. I think if Tobi's intangibility runs out in the 5 minutes, he could turn intangible in the next second but even then, that would be useless if he's being spammed nonstop since the moment it wears off, he won't have a second to turn intangible again. Konan's technique and Minato's FTG just fit the situation. Any other person without these two factors would've fallen prey to his S/T. Maybe Nagato's Shinra Tensei would prevent him from being sucked in though if he's fast enough to react.

FTG could be countered by a technique that can affect the Kunai. An example could be Chibaku Tensei that would pull in all its sorroundings which would include the Kunai. If Minato tries to teleport to any other Kunai around that area, he would be teleporting to his death. He would actually have to teleport out of the battlefield in order to survive that.

Tobi's S/T is better to me but unfortunately, FTG ended up being one of its weaknesses. If Tobi's S/T would be exposed to the weaknesses of FTG, it would triumph. If FTG were to be exposed to the weaknesses of Tobi's S/T, it would triumph. Well if FTG were to face the same technique Konan used on Tobi, he would have to teleport out of the battlefield. Unlike Tobi though Minato's is instant so he can actually escape it. Different weaknesses but those two are some of the best. Put these two together and then it would be the greatest.

1. Defensively he can avoid any and all attacks or just warp away.

#FAIL. His attack will fail if 1) a shinobi is faster than him (minato) or 2) a shinobi has Kuubi Yang chakra (Naruto). Since #2 is only Naruto (currently), it would seem that this isn't a good example, but lets not forget Tobi's CURRENT OPPONENT is Naruto, so this is significant.

2. Offensively he can teleport others and trap them permanently... there is NO way to escape his dimension

#FAIL. This will not work against someone with S/T techniques (Tobirama). This is the same reason why Kakashi's S/T technique wouldnt work on Tobi, b/c he would just teleport out of it.

3. Tobi has shown to be able to turn things he touches intangible also. So he could make Gedo Mazo intangible if he wanted.

This is an HELLOVA assumption.

4. The only weakness is the 5 min limit.

No - and there is no reason for there to have been more than even one reply.

Tobi's S/T Jutsu did not win (defensively, or offensively) against the Fourth Hokage.

He was unable to dodge the Rasengan. He was unable to dodge the Flying Thunder God seal being applied directly to his body. He was unable to dodge the Nine Tails being stolen from him via a contract seal. The OP is either trolling, or dumb.

Furthermore, Tobi is going to lose to Naruto. The "second" half of his fight with the Fourth, if you will, as it was Tobi who allowed Minato to turn Naruto into a Jinchuriiki.

ALL fail. Minato required more than just FTG. Fail, you had to resort to plot no jutsu.

The 4ths is the best he carries dozens of he's kunai knives so he can tele anywhere instantly and also place seals on objects or a person yu would have to run around distroying the seals while watching out for him and we can just lay another down after you distroy 1

I'd say Kabuto's Edo Tensei is the greatest technique ever witnessed in the manga.
