Tobi was NOT scared of Edo Madara

why would tobi care about the truth coming out? he already made sure that the war was going to happen.

Yeah, but he obviously still has/had a plan involving Madara. And Kabuto figured out that Madara was still dead, surprising him.

He was scared. He did not have the Rinnegan and he had More than just Madara. But Tobi knows a bit about Madara. He knows that he could not beat an edo Madara. Not only is Madara OP but he is and edo. Tobi would get owned and he was afraid of that.

Through that logic, Rinnegan Tobi > Kabuto and his entire Edo army because Kabuto decided to tell him the truth about Edo Tensei instead?

Imo, Tobi WAS scared. Until he got his Rinnegan. He obviously wasn't after that (he was ready to take on Kabuto).

There's a big misconception going on that Tobi was scared of Edo Madara. The truth is, he was surprised that Kabuto knew, and he didn't want the truth to get out. He sided with Kabuto not because he was too scared to fight back, but because Kabuto promised not to tell anyone, and his Edos would only boost Tobi's fighting power.

Conversely, Kabuto felt threatened when Tobi asked for the secrets of Edo Tensei, and decided to tell him in a sort of fear, even when he had a vast amount of Edo pawns with him. So really, people saying Tobi was scared of Edo Madara don't really have any good proof. Both theses examples show that both Tobi and Kabuto are threatened by each other, but Tobi doesn't really seem surprised about Edo Madara anymore, and he doesn't really care.

Yup that's right. And why would Tobi be afraid of anyone?? Tobi is the strongest character.

Tobi was probably worried about losing peoples' support, (correct me if I am wrong) but thoes within Akatsuki who knew that Pain was not the true leader pulling the strings, who knew that Tobi was orchestrating it's plans believed him to be Uchiha Madara.

He said himself that he chose that name to be called because of the heavy reputation that came along with it
