Tobi was NOT scared of Edo Madara

There's a big misconception going on that Tobi was scared of Edo Madara. The truth is, he was surprised that Kabuto knew, and he didn't want the truth to get out. He sided with Kabuto not because he was too scared to fight back, but because Kabuto promised not to tell anyone, and his Edos would only boost Tobi's fighting power.

Conversely, Kabuto felt threatened when Tobi asked for the secrets of Edo Tensei, and decided to tell him in a sort of fear, even when he had a vast amount of Edo pawns with him. So really, people saying Tobi was scared of Edo Madara don't really have any good proof. Both theses examples show that both Tobi and Kabuto are threatened by each other, but Tobi doesn't really seem surprised about Edo Madara anymore, and he doesn't really care.

that madara title was the greatest weapon he had to begin with, the power of fear should not be underestimated , it drove the shinobi world war to fruition

the kage's wouldnt have responded in the same way if some random ninja declared the 4th shinobi world war on them, but when "madara" did they knew to get their shit in gear, his use of deception to accomplish his goals is very impressive

besides, he doesnt seem like the type to feel fear anyway, its like hes figured out every feasible outcome of the battle progression and knows what to do according to what happens, but madara getting revived via edo tensei wasnt in his calculations, so he was at most surprised/vexed

Seeing as he didn't have the Rinnegan at the time, Madara would be a massive threat. On top of this, Tobi didn't know how to stop the Edo Tensei. Maybe Tobi's not afraid for his own life, but Madara could destroy the entire zetsu army if he wanted to, seriously derailing his plan. And that's just one possibility, there really is no telling what you can accomplish with Edo Madara.

LOL no. He wasn't scared, just surprised. That's why he was angry when Naruto said "other Madara," not scared.

He wasnt scared at all, what everyone saw was shock and anger. Remember Nagato was supposed resurrect Madara but died bringing back the people of Khonoha instead. That meant it would fall to Tobi to bring him back, however with Madara's soul already sealed by Kabuto into Edo-Form Kabuto had effectively blocked Tobi's plan which is why he was shocked and annoyed.
I believe he learnt the Edo not so he could disable it but so he could use it himself should his Zetsu's be destroyed.

Plus i did a whole thread on Shisui Uchiha (which Tobi could technically bring back now along with Jaraiya through Edo Tensei)

He was scared. He did not have the Rinnegan and he had More than just Madara. But Tobi knows a bit about Madara. He knows that he could not beat an edo Madara. Not only is Madara OP but he is and edo. Tobi would get owned and he was afraid of that.

Yes, he was surprised. But dont think he wasnt scared, look at what Edo Madara is doing to the Kage. Kabuto never felt threatened by Tobi asking for the knowledge of Edo Tensei, he already accounted for this. Fighting a sharigan user, they can get the info no matter what. This is why he developed his resistance to the "known" Uchiha genjutsus.

Tobi will fear Madara once he breaks free from Kabuto's control and goes to meet him.
