I just had another thought. When Kabuto was explaining how Edo Tensai worked, he mentioned the people he couldn't find. Shisui, Danzo, and Jiraya. Since Madara had been revealed to Tobi, there was no reason to say, "i couldn't find him" because, obviously, he did. He also didn't mention he couldn't find Izuna. This was perhaps rhetorical due to the fact that Kabuto knows the real identity of Tobi. It really feels like the answer has been there all along and we are making this harder than it needs to be.

Kabuto specifically made a mention for known, powerful shinobi. He included why none of the Hokages could be raised, but carefully left out the two most powerful Uchiha?
Just seems odd to say, "i couldn't find shisui" and not also mention he couldn't find Izuna. It's not like Izunas body is supposedly hidden, or lost. We've seen him in his casket, so it wouldn't have been hard to find.

Except Izuna had no eyes when he went off to become fodder. Edo Tensei brings you back in the state you were in at death (hence Nagato's white hair and damaged legs and Granny Chiyo's age). Why would Kabuto want him without MS?

And I would also add that it would be very difficult for Kishi to bring up Izuna and NOT Madara (since that wouldn't make sense given that Tobi knew about Madara) during this conversation without giving away the fact Madara was in the 6th coffin. Better to not bring those two up at all and leave everyone in suspense.

Are you saying you don't believe that Izuna died? Madara says that Izuna died. If Madara awakened the Rinnegan shortly before he died, what happened next? He revived Izuna, then they found a boy (Nagato), and hatched a plan to revive a dying Madara in the future? Why did Izuna need to die at all? That doesn't sound like it all could have happened in a short amount of time.
So Nagato only had one Rinnegan when he was revived? You can't tell because his hair is covering the other one. If that's the case why didn't Tobi take them both?
Also if Nagatos Rinnegan came from Madara why does he have both his eyes? Im not saying you are wrong by any means I'm just curious as to your thoughts on the situation.

Edo Tensei is a Jutsu that brings the dead back with the full abilities they had at their point of death. Example, Itachi died with his Mangekyo Sharingan and even though Sasuke has possesion of Itachi's physical eyes to gain Eternal MS, when Itachi is brought back using Edo Tensei he has his MS as well. Nagato died with both his eyes so his ET comes back with both as well. Madara died with both so he comes back with both too.
As for Tobi, he did take both of Nagato's Rinnegan but is probably holding on to a single three tomoe Sharingan so that he can continue to perform his space time migration. He apparently cannot access lower level Sharingan techs because his eyes are transplants, unlike Madara.
Madara awakened Rinnegan , but did not revive Izuna.
Izuna fooled Madara.
Also , Tobi could be Izunas Son or something.
Or Shisui or Kagami.
Maybe not Shisui.
But Izuna and Kagami , my favorate candidates = since we dont practicaly know nothing about their past.
We only know something about Tobi.
But one thing is extremely odd.
Kabuto showed Tobi = Edo Madara coffin.
Later = Tobi was still talking about hes fight with the first and how he got hes cells.
That's extremely strange.
Tobi has to be someone close to Madara for sure.
If not Kagami or Izuna = then a close relative.

It definitely could be. And it's wayyyy more probable than Izuna. And it's also more probable than Kagami.
I think, once upon a time, I proposed that it was a Tobirama Edo that was the very reason Edo Tensei was banned. I still think that's a possibility, but, as his arm just gooed off and didn't turn to dust and debris and then reassemble, I'm more inclined to say its definitely Setsuna. Of course, again, it's Setsuna as he's modified himself over the years, seemingly with Zetsu goo or whatnot.

The major flaw in this theory is that both the Second and Third Tsuchikage as well as Tsunade clearly state that He was Madara and seeing as they are really the only 3 old enough to know this, I dont think Kisi would let the only 3 People in the Narutoverse that can remember both Izuna and Madara to be fooled that way.
The only way I can see the Izuna Theory being remotely feasible is like Gyakusetsu stated was If Izuna hated his brother. But even Tobi said that they were very close as brothers. So unless Madara did in fact steal Izuna's eye which is also a going theory, I dont see anything that would lead Izuna to hate his brother which basically throws out The Izuna theory. majority of you in this discussion are going sololy off of Tobi's limited appearance, his apparent knowledge and what has been seen of his abilities, none of you are taking into account the Character of the man ( The drastic change from a patient man to what we are seeing now "desperation maybe?", How he went from goofing to seriously in no time flat, The manipulative nature, the arrogance, etc) This is what will uncover Tobi's identity!
The only (limited) information that has been given on Izuna came from tobi, So if you believe him when he said that Izuna and Madara were equal in strength and all the other (evidence) that you guys are using to prove this theory. Then everything else that was said about Izuna must also be true, seeing as it all came from the same person. Which would mean that Izuna willing gave his brother his eye out of love and that He died in battle. So unless the reason why Madara died was due to maybe reviving his brother using maybe the Outer Path rebirth Tech, which I dont see but could happen. I dont see Izuna being tobi. And even if it was, What happened from the brother that out of love gave his brother his eye and died turn into a being that shook and the very site of his brother as a Edo. It wasnt sadness but fear! just my 2 cents
Madara can have unlimited chakra = but hes chakra is nowhere near the power of Juubi = Juubi would crush Madara like an insect , Only Rikudo Sennin was able to hold off to Juubi in the past.
Madara could "maybe" controll Juubi VIA genjutsu = but highly unlikely , since Juubi is unstable mass of hatred with ultimate chakra.
Only one to actualy tame the Juubi would be = Naruto or Tobi.
Tobi with hes Haxzor Genjutsu or Chakra chains(yes I believe , only tobi can use them via Rinnegan).
Naruto = With the 9 names , like call out the 9 names to Juubi = a Tamed Juubi.
