Tobi/ObitoTheories: What, why and how and then some

Tobi maybe obito...But there must be a really good explanation on who the masked man was fighting Fourth hokage!!! If he was obito then he was too small and i dont think he could have gained such power within the small period of time to summon nine tails and do those big things....
There must be some other person who was tobi before obito. Later maybe he became tobi. But its ridiculous to think that obito a small boy fought fourth hokage and make him die along with naruto's mother. They better have a worthy explanation for this.

We really don't know much about Obito's true personality as a child. Given that Kishi has been drawing parallels between Naruto and Obito, it's entirely possible that he was ignored and neglected which, like Naruto, fed his rivalry with Kakashi who 'had everything'.

If that's the case, we simply need to ask ourselves what is it that kept Naruto from becoming a psychopath. The answer to that is obvious; He had people who acknowledged him and believed in his dreams.

And given what we've seen of Obito during his flashbacks, Obito honestly lacked that. He was constantly overlooked for Kakashi by everyone, even Rin. He made Chuunin, and what does Rin do? She doesn't celebrate or congratulate him, she invites him to a party to celebrate Kakashi's promotion, presumably without even telling him her intentions.

That's pretty low.

So Obito probably had a lot of hate. And let's think about what happened after Kannabi Bridge; Despite the fact that Obito sacrificed himself to save Rin and Kakashi and gave them the tools to complete their mission, Obito was probably remembered as nothing more than another casualty of war while Kakashi became 'the Hero'.

That'd piss anyone off.

So whoever retrieved Obito probably had a lot of hatred to work with. The personality shift really isn't that unlikely all things considered.

Are u insane or what.... Why u all people try to target all girly things that make a person evil... thats not big idea....

Naruto and Obito are different.. By getting refused my Rin isn't that big reason for someone to turn evil... There are so much examples... Jiraya... Guy... and many like those..

I know I said I wasnt gonna respond but calling me an obito tard i just had to.
First of all I was one of the people saying that it wasn't Obito before the last chapter but unlike you I know how to read and my eyesight is good enough for me to see what happened in the last chapter in the Manga. So there really is no reason not to believe that it is Obito and after looking back on some of the other chapters I can actually see how Kishi had always planned on it being Obito. But then again i am not delusional like you. Also your hair statement is the dumbest thing of all because no one in Naruto has ever changed their hairstyles oh no thats right Sakura did during the chuunin exams. s.

I wouldn't really say he's strong. The only reason he's hard to beat is the fact that he plans for almost every outcome and he uses Kamui so he's insanely hard to hit. If anything, he'd be raw at dodge ball lol

All I'm gonna say right here is that Kakashi is shown as an adult ANBU member during Tobi's attack on Minato, Obito was definitetly NOT a child during that fight.

Tobito theories have been overdone, but you deserve constructive responses for your effort, regardless.

I somewhat agree that there must be a split personality or consciousness going on, given Tobi's "silly" side, and the attacks made towards Kakashi/Gai were just too personal.

I personally don't think Zetsu is Izuna...and it's been shown Tobi is made out of the same substance as Zetsu so he is definitely connected, I wouldn't be surprised if he basically controlled the "Obito side" (given it ISN'T 100% Obito mind and soul to begin with).

Exactly. Also I didnt say Zetsu was Izuna, just that through his power Izuna could go from body to body in some fashion.

somehow obito survived that boulder gravesite. (obviously) my theory is that if he was the one who fought the fourth, he could seem older because zetzu used his cells to alter obitos body so thr boy could survive. if madara was around, then it's pretty obvious where obito got his skills/idealolgies. the flash backs and the way tobi spoke to kakashi during the battle isn't from some stranger. theres obviously a bond between then that went deeper than sharing a sharingan tech. so from what we've seen and my theory of how he got his current body, i believe it is infact obito.

obito is a a former p.o.w., think about it for a sec, who would have MOST likey found obito after the boulder? maybe the hidden stone village the leaf was at war with, being a leaf ninja he prolly would have been tortured and such. also the Aktusuki were know to be based or least have had influence in the hidden stone village zetsu prolly ment with obito there, where he fused with him and gave him madrara's knowledge and healed his body somewhat. afterwards he attacked the leaf, failed, and then decided to pretend to be madrara (who most likey started the aktusuki) and decided to go with the moons eye plan. i also think its possible tobi was 2 people, the frist being madrara, who heard about obito three tome (unlocked by being a p.o.w. at the hidden stone village, or someother weird way) and saved him.

Indeed, even the inconsistencies present evidence of things more elaborate then a simple "plot hole, art error, etc, you get the point". While I agree people, even authors make mistakes, however at such a crucial point in the story? I find that highly unlikely, Kisi has proven time and time again that there was a point, and a reason for what the audience perceived as simply Kisi dropping the ball! back to loop topic, I also enjoyed how Kisi, through Itachi, opened the door for the loop to be possible, granted on a more complex scale! I think I stayed on point! been awhile since we dicussed time loop and paradoxes, might be alittle out of the loop atm!


Something came to mind: it would seem, from my limited undertanding of the laws of time-looping while following the laws physics, that one of the fundamentals aspects of the looping process could revolve around the simple action of "choice"!


or... perhaps an anomaly in a otherwise harmonic mathmatical beauty creating an unbalance in the equation and thus requiring drastic efforts to correct the equation resulting in fluctuations (loops).... hmmm

This could be the most logical explanation of Obito - Tobi's connection.
That could be Obito's body, not Obito himself.
We'll probably get all the answers in the long awaited Chapter 600.
I still think Tobi is Madara, not in his original body of course.
