Wow, I loved this thread so much!
Fantastic thread. Too bad I missed this when it came out.
That was a good read, thanks for that.

thanks for this thread...
I see it now .__.
It's true. And I like how you link Naruto's personality to the mission in the Mist Village, it's something that can be easy to overlook.
But one argument I can make about the "name one relevant antagonist who didn't get a sympathetic background." Hidan is that exception. The guy was just cold blooded for the sake of pleasing jaashin![]()
Only because they weren't around for long enough. We never explored Hidan's backstory we just heard about it, could be anything behind it.
Yeah, Kishi rushed that one. Hidan was just unexplored potential with more to offer...But in a way, it gives the message that not everyone can change for the better, some people are psychotic
Even Deidara was psychotic though, he had a sick twisted love for something destructive but yknow he wasn't totally sick and twisted. And we know there was just a little rebel boy at the start of that.
You are very very welcome manOh, man. This is good stuff. Thank you.
Yea I couldn't agree more, I've always noticed the difference between to some most anime Like DBZ, they're Villains for the sake of being evil and its just kind a lame cause their intention is to be the strongest and destroy the world, but in Naruto it feels like anyone are open minded more and have ideals of peace or "their Ninja Way" and yet they got corrupted in the Ninja world where they see a pit into the darkness.
I think this series is closest more like realistically.
Thanks for the thread! =D
I'm one of those people who despise TNJ just because it "doesn't suit to my liking".
I'm very naive.
Good read!!!
