Here is why I believe so...

Amaterasu is absorbed.
Totsuka gg is absorbed
Nagato's Rinnigan can overpower Itachi's Tsukoyomi and other visual Genjutsu
Nagato's giant animal summons
Nagato can bansho tenin Itachi's eyes out
Shinra tensei repels all of itachi's attacks
Asura rockets and laserbeams

Pain take out itachi low diff too.
This time, there are six moving targets, and each are very fast. None of them will be caught off guard, animal realm summons adding even more surveillance so they wont be suspect to any surprises.

Anyone care to counter argue? Or was this already common knowledge that Itachi stand no chance?

OT: I do believe that the paths of Pain would defeat Itachi in a 6v1 match. However I doubt that Nagato at his last state (restricted movement etc.) could deal with Itachi.

He can uses his summons to aid him in movement. What can Itachi do to Nagato? If he tries to get close, shinra tensei, if he tries to surprise him, he will see it thanks to his summons/

Here is the thing. Read what kishi trying to say instead of using fanlogic to oppose kishi. It's easy to counter anything, but it takes kishi to put them in practice, so all these scenarios are pure fiction. If kishi wants, he can show you itachi kill nagato with one pebble. It's about what kishi thinks

For your question, as soon as itachi joined in, the fight finished in less than a minute. If madara or hashirama joined in naruto and bee, I don't think it would end any sooner. And that doesn't mean nagato>madara/hashirama

So what. If Itachi dosent have the arsenal, then it means he wont win. How can something be easy to counter if you don't have the needed requirement to do so. Since Im supposedly using "fanlogic." tell me how Itachi can manage to defeat Nagato.
Just because he was called a genius doesn't automatically make him able to beat people far above his level.
Neji, Minato,Gaara, etc were all called genius, it dsoent mean they could all solo nagato.
