This is my diet, why am I fat?

Hi, so I've been trying to lose weight for 3 months now. I'm 15 and my belly has not lost a single inch, neither I have lost mass. Can anybody help me?

MONDAY - WEDNESDAY - FRIDAY

Breakfast: 2 slices of bread, 2 cups of grape juice.

Lunch: Small steak (1.5 times the size of my hand), rice, glass of pineapple juice, small ice cream as dessert.

I don't eat anything else after lunch. Sometimes, a glass or two of grape juice. Even more rarely, a small toast.

TUESDAY - THURSDAY

Breakfast: 2 slices of bread, 2 cups of grape juice.

Lunch: Rice, beans, a lot of salad. Glass of soda.

After lunch, the same proceedure is followed as of Mon/Wed/Fri.

SATURDAY

Breakfast: Nothing.

Lunch: Pasta, oranje/pineapple juice. Small ice cream as a desert.

Dinner: Same as of the other days: basically nothing. But I sometimes order a pizza and drink soda.

SUNDAY

I rarely eat anything at all on sundays, other than a couple toasts and chocolate with milk to fool my hunger.


I walk about 1 mile every day, and on mondays I go to the gym and work out for arround 1 and a half hour.
Can anyone very carefully explain why I'm overweight? Thanks.

You need to workout at least 3x a week. Burn more calories than you eat. Don't just exercise on mondays

Well for one thing, you're eating juice and soda for every meal. That's just extra calories and sugar. Try drinking water more.

And like the guy above me said, make sure you exercise regularly.

And whatever you do don't eat at amounts that are large margins below you suggested BMI calorie intake. It will just cause you metabolism to go down.

Some people just have slow metabolisms

You're eating well, but you're eating a lot of carbohydrates. There is also the added possibility that the weight lifting is adding muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. Try cutting out juice and drink more tea or black coffee, that will speed up your metabolism.

I mean you shouldn't be drinking any soda or eating ice cream first off. And you still need to eat, just healthier stuff like fruits and vegetables and fish. And excersize more than once a week (walking doesn't help that much tbh)

doesnt really matter what you eat as long as you do an intense workout diets are for out of shape women that want to be skinny.

Switch all fruit juice to actual fruit smoothies. Also, no more ice-cream...

Drink plenty of water to keep a steady metabolism.

Also, eating nothing won't help you lose fat, you should eat healthy instead of eating nothin.

Do more cardio work. A mile everyday isn't that much. Constantly drink water (at least a gallon a day)
Your breakfast is horrible. you don't lose weight from barely eating. You have to eat a healthy balanced breakfast that will fill you up.
For example: oatmeal, A banana, and orange juice.
Stop drinking Soda and eating sweets period and try not to eat too much rice.
Honestly you have to stop eating so little overall make yourself well balanced meals that fill you up instead of starving and yourself and tricking your stomach. Food helps your metabolism go faster and if you don't eat alot your metabolism will slow down to preserve the nutrients you need.

Get rid of the rice and ice cream at lunch. If you're hungry after the steak, which I doubt, eat some vegetables.

I'd get rid of all the pasta/rice or something that is your main source of carbohydrates and replace it with rye bread. And forget about white bread completely, you do not need it.
You do not need to exercise at all to lose weight, you just need to have your diet right.

Start drinking coffee and you'll be rarely hungry. Start counting your calories.

Juices are also unnecessary, since they're mostly sugar anyways. Drink water/skim milk with food.
If you eat meat, choose chicked or some kind of fish.

EDIT// Someone said to replace the juice with smoothies, do not do this. Steer clear from smoothies, unless you make them yourself and know exactly what it contains.

Your diet is not good.

Skipping any meal will result in your metabolism slowing down (and that's much worse if your metabolism is innately slow) and the juices and soda are sugary too. For some people with slower metabolisms, it's better to have five, smaller meals throughout the day.
