Such a question shouldn't even cross ur mind. Danzo would have no way of beating sarutobi old or young besides Using kotoamtsukami form shisui's eye. Why do u think Hiruzen was given hokage and not danzo? because he had a X on his chin? :|

Danzo, Kotoamatsukami is arguably one of the most powerful techs in the naruto universe. Not even "the professor" can beat it
Personally I think Hiruzen will win due to hype. But from going from what has been shown from the anime and manga Danzou isn't hampered by old age like he is. Now someone is going to say Prime, but again we have not seen anything from anyone excluding Madara that even gives us a glimpse in there prime.
Danzou wins by what has been shown.

I am me and I endorse this message.
Old Hiruzen has no way of dealing with Izanagi, or Shisui's genjutsu.
In fact old Danzo even beats Hiruzen in his prime because of this, but then again old Danzo beats just about anyone because of that gat dam KA.
Regardless, we've seen them both fight, and without shisui's eye, danzo would lose, Izanagi would run out in due time and if sarutobi summons Enma, then that would make it even worst. also Hiruzen has more than one element he can use.

Your whole argument goes down the drain with the above bolded. You honestly thought that Hiruzen was more impressive in his battle with Oro, than Danzo was with Sasuke?

Even without KA old Danzo still wins.
Old Hiruzen has nowhere near the chakra levels Sasuke does, which he needed to compete with Danzo.
Secondly Sasuke had the MS, with Susanoo, which Hiruzen does not have.
In his old age Hiruzen has no chance against 10+ Izanagis.
That would be like killing Danzo ten times, and I know Danzo is better than that.
So in their youth Hiruzen would probably win fairly easily, but in old age Danzo wins pretty easily.
So are you saying that from what have been shown. Hiruzen is a better fighter than Danzou? I wish the Oro vs Hiruzen was done differently to really showcase the 3rd but it failed TERRIBLY. Crap from that fight alone he shouldn't be in any vs thread (Seriously) except if it was a Hype vs thread. The best Hiruzen can do is make it a draw by using Death seal. Even if Danzou didn't have shishui's eye he will still give Hiruzen a hassle. Danzou has like a dozen sharingans, Sarutobi has Enma and Death seal, Danzou also has a summon lets not forget that, and also a suicide seal. Not to mention his a master in his element (wind).

Young Danzou challanged young Sarutobi for the Hokage post and lost. ( manga)

Outside of KA, I would go with Hiruzen. Even as an old man, he was a beast. His first advantage would be Fire>Wind and he still has earth style. For an old dude, Hiruzen has mad stamina being able to take on two edos then Oro. But it could end in a tie considering both have double kill moves.
Hiruzen fire techniques would take care of baku, just as sasuke did. I also believe that Old Sarutobi when he fought Oro was older than Danzo when he fought sasuke, so because of the age factor yeah, danzo would win.

Danzo and Hiruzen were the same age, but Danzo lives 3 more years than Hiruzen. How could he be older?
I don't like it when people use Hiruzen's age as a handicap. He was just weak as an old man, that is all there is to it. Onoki is older than him and is fighting Rinnegan Madara, and just before that was fighting Mu and the 2nd Mizukage. (both of whom easily beat Oro)
Some people don't age well. Hiruzen was clearly one of them.
lol how did you figure that out. If anything it is a like a 3-5 year difference after hiruzen's death. Not a big deal they are both old. That's like saying Onooki vs Konohamaru and saying that Kon will win do to youth.
