First off I will say that this will probably be a long post like most of my posts are so don't reply if you don't bother to read it through.
Now, to make sure that everyone knows what I am talking about I will outline the main things that compelled me to post this.
As you can see, Jirayia clearly states that Naruto only has the Kyuubi's yin chakra inside of him.
The probability of Yondaime having split he kyuubi into two was stated by a naruto fan some time back. The reasons for this procedure however are still quite ambiguous. What I shall do now is present my own view on the matter.
Now. The fact that the Kyuubi was divided explains a lot of things that happened throughout the series, combined with the fact that Naruto's emotions don't really correspond to the yin and yang. Now you'll ask: "What is this bulls**t? This guy has no idea what yin and yang stand for!" bla bla bla etc.
Here is what I mean:
Yin, in itself, stands for passivity and darkness. Hate and rage are dark feelings but are by no means passive. They are, out of all emotions, the only two who, in my view, can equally correlate to both Yin and Yang. When speaking of Naruto, his hate and rage are usually dormant, thus more inclined to yin. In the few outbursts of hate that Naruto has during the series, all of them were strong Hate or Rage suddenly jumping from passive to active: Rage towards Haku, rage and hate towards Orochimaru(When fighting with Sasuke at VOTE and with Oro at the bridge). These are the only real outbursts that Naruto has, the other times when he uses Kyuubi chakra are completely under his control and significantly weaker.
So now you will say: "So...what is your point?"
My point is related to the implicit harmony between the Yin and the Yang of any object/being/phenomena etc. For harmony to exist, Yin and Yang must have almost equal influence, with Yang being only slightly Higher to ensure survival(since Yin means passivity and so you wouldn't do anything to survive). The way the Kyuubi manifests and the way Naruto manifests may be seen as consequences to the balance or imbalance of these two elements within Naruto's being. The fact that Naruto only has the Kyuubi Yin explains why the fox is usually asleep and why is hasn't really shown any real rage yet, only some measure of discontent. It also explains why the kyuubi can't act on its own since Yin=passive so it can only act when Naruto's Yang goes sky high. The Kyuubi's chakra is mostly isolated within the seal. However, this goes only for those times when Naruto's feelings are in harmony. The imbalance of Yin and Yang is shown by sudden surges of emotion. So, now that the seal is weakening, instead of complementing his Yang with his Yin, Naruto complements it with the Kyuubi's Yin. It was also stated that Naruto can't have a very good chakra control because of the kyuubi, that's why he can't body flicker either. This shows that, although Naruto himself would be able to harmonize, the presence of the kyuubi's yin will have a negative effect, thus affecting him in every possible way.
The 4 tails rampage mode is the exact consequence of the effect of the Kyuubi's yin on Naruto's Yin and Yang. The kyuubi overloads Naruto with Yin so he has to put in as much Yang chakra as possible so as to not blow up, at the cost of the scenery changing drastically and injuring anyone in the vicinity. Here is how I explain what happened at the bridge: Naruto got overloaded with the Kyuubi's Yin (spite and discontent) and that pushed his own yin aside leaving only his Yang. Even in that mode, yang was still dominant but Naruto was no longer aware of things because his yin had been removed from the equation so only rage, intent to kill and all those intentions which are yang in nature remained. Man can only think rationally when Yin and Yang are in harmony. Though there was a cretain "harmony" it wasn't harmony between Naruto's Yin and Yang, but between Naruto's Yang and the Nine Tails' yin. Since, cumulatively, intent to kill won, Naruto went berserk.
This was my explanation of how Kyuubi Naruto works.
The Kyuubi was known to have an incredible amount of chakra. Some people may say that Yondaime's seal, although powerful, couldn't have been able to keep the entirety of the demon's chakra at bay. I was inclined to think so as well but that's not the real issue in my opinion. The frog scroll said that Minato "went through the trouble" of splitting the chakra. This means, basically, that it would have been easier to just seal the whole demon in Naruto. He didn't, then Jiraya sais this:
Surprise surprise! Minato was developing a "That" jutsu that has something to do with the Nine Tails' Yang chakra or the Nine Tails in general. It's also quite obvious that only Naruto could ever complete this "That" jutsu and bring the "Everyone has a That Jutsu Fashion" to its peak.
I can't begin to speculate what this "That Jutsu" really is, I have no idea...yet.
Still, now we know that Yondaime had a very specific plan in mind when he performed the Shiki Fuujin on the demon.
Now I will comment a bit on how the Kyuubi's Yin chakra is some sort of boiling liquid. I will also remind you that Naruto has a lot of water in his inner world.
These are my thoughts: Naruto has multiple elemental affinity. Wait wait, don't call me crazy yet!
Think about it:
Naruto's inner world is underground->Earth Chakra. It has to permanently hold the kyuubi's chakra so it can't be used.
There is lots of water. the Kyuubi's Yin is also water, although boiling. Naruto's water chakra could very well be totally focused on keeping the Kyuubi's chakra at a reasonably cool(as in cold) level so as to keep it at bay and asleep for as long as possible.
And we know that Naruto has Wind Chakra. Since he doesn't have anything to cancel out with wind, his wind chakra is free so it's the only one that revealed itself during the paper test thing.
This all might seem far-fetched but what else could make Naruto one of the few or only viable choice for the jutsu, as the toad scroll kindly states:
don't know what other things could make him so special, except for having a large enough Yang chakra that could complement for the Kyuubi's yin in the case of the seal weakening.
I have no idea what happened to the Yang but I'm leaning to the probability that it's somewhere where Naruto can retrieve it later.
I might come up with some other stuff later, but this is it for now.
Thank you for your patience.
Yondaime

Read it COMPLETELY before disagreeing. Theories are known to have lots of "if"s and reading it well will spare you the embarrassment of contradicting something I haven't even stated(As it happened on previous occasions).
