As most Breaking Bad fans know by now, a prequel series is going to be made featuring Saul Goodman. Most people think it's a bad idea, and I agree to some extent. I don't think it should be anything longer than a season, as that's unnecessary for a supporting character.
But as for the story itself, I think there is great potential for a prequel for Saul. I think that it would be very interesting to see Saul before he wound up as a lawyer. To add a twist on his character, it would be even more interesting to find out that he was never an official lawyer, that at the end of his little spin-off, he get's into trouble with the wrong people and he has his guy hook him up with a new life (his new life being the life of Saul Goodman). It would just add a few more layers to the guy, and would potentially explain how/why he has the connections that he has. Thought?
