Purely theoretical. Though I'd love to have an in-character session, I've never had an Aburame, so I have no character to be.

Now, let's begin with some theory. Tell me all about the Aburame clan, everything they do, what they're capable of... Leave out no details. I want to know everything they're capable of, how they are capable of it, and what applications their ability has - all of them. Be as detailed as you possibly can.

Alright, allow me to divide my answer. It'll make it easier to present my full knowledge and will make it easier for you to read it xD

Basic Premise

The Aburame Clan is one of the Noble Clans of Konoha. As a child, each clan member is given a special breed of insects, most commonly the Kikaichuu ( Parasitic Destruction Insects ), beetle-like chakra feeders, which will enter the child's body and feed on their chakra. Despite the clansmen hosting the insects in their body, the relationship is mutually beneficial, living in perfect symbiosis, which is, of course, moderated by chakra. Henceforth, the Aburame developed a whole set of techniques meant to explore that relationship, enhanced the insects themselves and even collect and domesticate other breeds of insects.

Technique Mechanism

As I explained, the relationship Host-Insect is mediated by chakra, chakra of the host. The clansman is able to freely communicate with his insects, and has techniques to retain that communication over a longer range [ ( Mushi Supai no Jutsu ) - Insect Spying Technique ] or even communicate with other insects [ (Mushi Yose) - Bug Summoning ]. The bugs respond to chakra and communicate between themselves through pheromones.

The most innate form of communication, though, is by using chakra itself to command the bugs. By releasing chakra from their bodies, the user is able to prompt his bugs to form swarms, which will have the same shape or consistency as the chakra construct that was exuded. Most of the techniques follow this method, an example would be [ (Kikaichu Misairu no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Projectile Technique ], where essentially the user expels chakra in the shape of a projectile and shoots the chakra towards the opponent. Immediately juxtaposed is a swarm of insects from the user's own body, which aggregates within and feeds on the chakra. Once reaching it's target, there is an innate response to continue feeding from chakra, so they swarm around and bite through any source of chakra, now being the enemy, and eat their flesh until they can suck the chakra out of him/her. Throughout all this process, the user is capable of moving or signalling the bugs at will or through additional techniques, allowing him to moderate this innate response, and even strategy by positioning the bugs or dividing the swarms at will, like a giant game of chess. Most techniques follow this mechanism, the user focus chakra and the insects follow the chakra, guided by it to form constructs of lesser or better consistency.

Elemental Interaction

The aforementioned techniques, which is to say, the bugs themselves, are strong against Raw Chakra, they, after-all, feed from it. But are weak against all elemental ninjutsu, with the exception of Wood Element, which I'd be able to extrapolate to a certain strength against biological materials, as they are, in average, softer materials and sources of nutrients for the bugs. They can easily feed through flesh, clothes, wood, etc in order to reach the chakra at the core. Chakra is used in symbiosis with the bugs, so the bugs collectively would take the rank of the technique used and would interact with other techniques following the basic Rank & Element Rules.

If I may ask a question, I would like to know what happens in case of a Neutralization event. Which is to say, factoring elemental strengths and weaknesses and rank hierarchy, if an Aburame Technique matches, strength by strength, an opposing technique, what would be the outcome? Were this simple elements, the chakra would lose purpose and both techniques would simply cease to be. But here we have a symbiosis of insect and chakra. Would the chakra cease to exist, and thus the swarm breaks loose, would the bugs themselves be stunned by the opposing technique and lose consciousness for a few turns, would they die completely? Would they merely return to the host? What exactly would happen? I have been using bugs in a way that, in the event the technique is equal to the swarm, they would suffer the effects of the opposing technique, but the latter would be blocked. But I think the bugs would have returned towards the host, the chakra within the swarm would have been neutralized thus the construct would fall apart, but the bugs themselves would be alive.

Insect Breeds

Each Aburame has one insect breed that they use for their techniques, and that is usually the Kikaichuu ( Parasitic Destruction Bugs). There is a technique explaining, roughly their properties [ (Kikaichuu) - Destruction Bug ] though I think it's outdated and not very practical, and the chakra abortion rate should change with rank. I have been reading the jutsu list and sent Scorps and Madara Uchiha some suggestions for changes, if anything just fixing spelling mistakes, and the response has been positive. Either way, whenever a technique mentions absorption of chakra, the reference is that technique ( 14 chakra per turn, -10 cost ).

Higher ranked clansmen, S-Class and above, are able to carry Kidaichu ( Parasitic Giant Insects ) alongside Kikaichuu. These bugs appear the same as Kikaichuu, but they don't swarm, and thus require direct contact with the user to deploy. They live under a strict chakra moderation, and, as soon as that balance is broken ( by moving out of their host's chakra system ) they will immediately burrow under the new chakra source's skin and devour flesh, bone and chakra, rapidly growing into gigantic proportions in a matter of seconds, severing through the target. It is described in this technique [ (Kidaichū Mushikui) Parasitic Giant Insect Bug Bite ].

Another breed of specialized insects are the Rinkaichuu ( Phosphorous Destruction Insects ), which is a nano-sized breed of insects that destroy the enemy's cells on direct contact, through an excruciatingly painful process. This breed is limited to specific Aburame Clansmen, and is not open to all. It's properties are described in this technique [ (Dokudokushi Suki Mushi no Jutsu) – Poisonous Nano Bugs Technique ] and [ ( Goku Hiden: Dokumuchi Doku ) - Very Hiden: Venomous Insect Venom ].

There are other breeds of insects that have not been explored in this rp. The Bikouchuu ( Minute Scent Insect ) are long nosed bugs that take the scent-based communication ( pheromones ) to a different level, and, once they are exposed to a certain scent, they memorize it for life, and are able to always find the source of that scent over any distance. The Shoukaichuu ( Neutralising Destruction Insects ) are worm like bugs that can burrow underground and localize sources of chakra, which are then transmitted to the user.

Our RP also allows for custom breeds of insects, which will replace the Kikaichuu. They are submitted in the normal thread and allow for the user to customize an insect's properties and abilities at will. This hasn't been explored much but I do have quite a lot of ideas!

To finalize, I'd like to talk about specific techniques that do not follow the same method as I described earlier, or haven't mentioned yet.

To answer your question, I personally am of the belief that the bugs would become subjected to the latent effects of the technique they have come into contact with (burning for fire, electrocution for lightning, blunt force for earth, etc.), and generally would be killed because of the latent effect as the chakras cancel each other out. The exception for their death would probably be earth and water, though, as the bugs simply take initial impact injuries before returning to normal (the few at the front of the pack will die, but will create a cushion for the others to survive, especially in the case of earth). Of course, this is just how I see the interactions.

As for the Insect Cocoon Technique, after scanning through 18 episodes, starting at its debut, I could only find it used once. When it was used, Shino used it to help certain insects who had a tolerance to Guren's Crystal Release (a natural ability of theirs - evolving to adapt to situations which they survived, which is something we don't have in this RP either, as far as I'm aware) multiply. Without this evolution in the RP, that technique simply served to breed more insects should you run low, a concept which also doesn't exist in this RP.

I don't believe I missed any of your questions, but if I did feel free to let me know.

But for now, let's begin with the basics of the clan's techniques:
(Kikaichuu) - Destruction Bug
Rank: D
Type:Attack/Defense/Supplementary
Range:Short-Long
Chakra Cost:-14 form opponent if the bugs have a hold of him/her(-10 per turn to feed the bugs)
Damage Points:20-80 depends on the jutsu
Description:The user summons a host of bugs form there very own body. This justu does not require any chakra sense the bugs do all the work.
Damage Calculation:Small holds=20, Medium Holds=40,Large Holds=60,Super Large Holds=80
NOTE:Must be a member of the Aburame Clan or be taught by a member of the Aburame Clan.
Looking at this technique, it's clearly the building-block for the rest of the Aburame's jutsu. However, it has confused even me, so I'll do my best to make sure that all questions around it are cleared up.

This technique simply describes the bugs, and as such I'll teach it differently than other techniques. The bugs you use feed off of your chakra, meaning that you can manipulate them by releasing small chakra signals that they will pick up (as they are used to your chakra signature) as orders. These "pulses" of chakra aren't seen by any type of sensory, though all types can easily see your bugs and their own chakra. Another aspect of the bugs defined in this technique is that they will drain 14 chakra points from your opponent for every turn a swam of them is in contact with your opponent (a small number of bugs cannot drain a noticeable, or even measurable amount of chakra, so you do need a swarm of sorts), and this ability is passive to the bugs.
This ability is more of a "post at the beginning of the battle" and "reference" technique, like the Sharingan. It doesn't allow you to do anything on its own, as it simply allows for the entirety of the Aburame Jutsu List, which is built off of this jutsu, to be used.

The part about the damage for "holds"... Honestly, I can easily see this technique getting revamped in the near future. For now, though, we have to follow the jutsu (unless it is ruled otherwise). As such, a small hold is any technique that allows your bugs to fully encompass a hand or foot, a medium hold has your bugs fully encompass the head, torso, or up to two full limbs, a large hold is basically just defined as between a medium and super large hold, and a super large hold is basically covering the whole body, though a single limb may be free and it still be a super large hold. And yes, as it is stated now, you get to add damage to techniques if they create these holds.

Now, are there any questions before we move on to the techniques derived from this?

Good to hear. If you have any questions about anything throughout the training, don't hesitate to ask.
So here's the second technique:
( Mushi Supai no Jutsu ) - Insect Spying Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 10 (-5 per turn active)
Damage points: N/A
Description: By linking themselves to an insect, they are able to see and hear what it experiences, providing a long-range and relatively safe and inconspicuous way to gather intel. The user is also able to tell when the bug had been killed.
Note: Can only be used by Aburame Clan ninjas.
So, this technique can be quite useful if used right. Essentially, you link yourself to a bug much like Nagato can to a path of Pein. This bug remains as a normal bug, but you can control it to move around at your will while being able to experience everything your bug experiences at the same time. The technique can be good with different combinations with later techniques, and to be able to see past things like walls by sending the single bug over the wall. Very good for keeping track of your opponent. The technique is also fairly good because a single bug is difficult to notice, especially if you send out a swarm in a different direction.

So, why don't you give me your personal insights on the technique? Some advantages you can see about the technique, combinations you could see yourself using this with as of right now, as well as a few drawbacks you can see to this technique.

I've already touched upon this in my dissertation of everything I know about bugs xD

The way I've used them so far, when I'm sparring inside Kiri, is by blinding my opponent, with either a mist or using the environment, or even by creating swarm after swarm of bugs, and use my bugs to see for me. This allows me to manoeuvre with greater fluidity than my opponent, and, thus, gain the upper hand. The applications in espionage are obviously great, but I find this minute-based tactics much easier and efficient to pull off in our current RP. There aren't many situations where I could use these bugs to infiltrate some place, or retrieve information, so I can only use them for immediate battle applications and that is to give me an edge in sensory.

I have also used this to track my opponent once, as well. I found that application quite interesting. My opponent flickered away from an open clearing, and hid in the forest. I followed through and launches several projectiles of bugs radially and chaotically, so that my opponent wouldn't be able to pinpoint their origin. As I spread the bugs through the forest, they knew to track and swarm around my opponent, and not only would I be able to see through them and where they were, but I was also able to figure out as soon as my opponent killed a bunch of my bugs when he saw them.

I realize now that this is about a single bug, of course, but the swarm has inherent ways of communicating within themselves, even if I'm not privy to the whole complexity of their connection. Even if I'm only adopting the sight and sensations of just one bug, I'm one with the rest of the swarm, and can chemically sense distress or hunger, and other basic chakra and chemical signals, that I wouldn't otherwise be too aware, even though, as an Aburame, I am aware of a whole lot of scents and pheromones and screeches that my bugs perform, just from my proximity an intimacy with the bugs that inhabit me. So, even if this technique allows me only to explore one insect, there's a whole lot of swarm-mentality and connection that I can safely pick up. Correct me if I'm wrong.

One question I'd ask is, this bug the technique describes, can it be any bug in the area? There's already another technique that allows me to summon, or rather call, other bugs to me, would I be able to use this technique on them? And what about enemy insects, either Aburame or insect-based summons. Would I have any sort of control over those, with these techniques?

When it comes to using this technique with a jutsu that blinds the opponent, if it's a technique like Hiding in Mist or a smoke bomb, that would also blind your bug. Now, it could still follow an opponent by scent (possibly compromised in the case of smoke), or if they were specifically meant to track an opponent's chakra signature, and you would "experience" what that but would be, but you still wouldn't be able to see them (unless the bug got incredibly close so as the obscuration is negligible, in which case a point of reference can potentially be lost). Additionally, this technique allows you to link to one bug per use - not a swarm. Though you do address this later on.

As for your question, I believe that this technique relies on the chakra signature your bugs have from feeding off of your own. Because of this, you can't link to random bugs in the environment, nor the bugs of an enemy who have been feeding off of that different chakra source. So it's just for those who have been living and breeding on your chakra.

So, if there are no more questions, we can move on:
(Kikaichu Tsukamu no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Grapple
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will grab the enemy with destruction bugs and then will flip the enemy and slam them into the ground.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame Clan.
Oh, a grab. Excellent (he said sarcastically). So, this technique allows you to send an arbitrary number of bugs towards your target, which will then surround a portion of your opponent's body in a bug-casing (a minimum of two limbs will be required, though the more the merrier). From there, you simply command your bugs to fly in tandem with each other in order to cause your opponent to flip over, with your bugs flying your opponent into the ground to crush and harm him. Simple, effective, makes use of the two passive abilities of these bugs... Really, it's quite a good technique. Some bugs may die when performing this, simply from being too close to the ground when smashing your opponent. Don't worry - their lifespan is hours (not even days), so it's not like it mattered much.

We'll use the same format as last time, and the same throughout training (personal insight, advantages, combinations, drawbacks, questions).

Warning, before you start reading. You may divide my post in parts, and tackle different sections in different posts, or just create one massive post, which I'd enjoy anyway. I don't like to beat around the bush, specially in a theoretical training. But you're the teacher!

This disclaimer is here because I went past what you asked me... way past. I also answered what you asked, just... don't be afraid of the detail... or the massive wall-of-text.

I have a question. We estabilished that this technique: (Kikaichuu) - Destruction Bug

Is more of a "presentation"/"description" of the bugs I'm using. But it does have a chakra cost associated with it. How should I treat this technique (which should be updated)? Should I treat it as Passive, in the sense that it doesn't count towards my move count, or should I only actually "use" it if I want to do freestyle manipulations of the bugs, like spread them around or make them move, or just grab my opponent without any specific move? Or should I just post this technique when I'm using the chakra absorption abilities of the bugs, thus this technique being more to describe and manage the chakra absorption abilities than anything else? Can I use, say, the Grapple Technique, and then mentioned the bugs attach themselves to the person, and start feeding of their chakra, and, this, post this technique? Would it count as 1 jutsu, 2 jutsu? And if I'm always using bugs, with all the other techniques we're learning about, does this mean I'm constantly spending the chakra cost and a jutsu? Or, again, it's only when I'm making reference to passive/freestyle usages, or only when I'm sucking chakra?

Also, we're going to use the same format for all this general manipulation techniques? They're all the same, there isn't much of a variation for me to post such detail every time. I can give you right away the techniques I use more creatively, where I'm not looking strictly for the usages they were intended to have. That would speed the things up for the both of you.

My usage of elements will be very limited, personal choice and because getting trained is extremely hard, both waiting to be accepted and throughout the actual training, since I'm waiting an average of one week per post. This means I'm subjected to the natural weakness of bugs against all elemental chakra, with the exception of Wood and other organic based elements, which the bugs are strong to, and, of course, raw chakra. This means that I have to use techniques that are higher ranked than the ones my opponent uses against me in order to neutralize the technique, or two ranks higher, in order to overpower it. I use some reference techniques like

(Kikaichu Misairu no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Projectile Technique
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will send a cloud like projectile of destruction bugs at the enemy.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame Clan.

For D ranks,

(Kikaichu Masu Misairu no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Mass Projectile Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user sends a bigger version of Destruction Bug Projectile Technique dealing more damage to the target.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

For C ranks,

(Kikaichu Kurumu Nami no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Engulfing Wave Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user manipulates the destruction bugs to form a giant pillar that then collapses into a wave that engulfs the enemy. The bugs then turn into a whirlpool dragging the enemy into the ground before turning into a pillar that emplodes. The bugs start off at short range.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

For B ranks, as I also like to use the D and C rank Pillar technique.

(Kikaichu kasui no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Stream technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
description: The user will raise their arms to release a torrent of destruction bugs that combine into two spear like forms that spiral towards the target lifting them into the air, where they brutally feed on the targets chakra.
Note: Must be a Member of the Aburame clan.

For A ranks,

( Kikaichū: Shoku ) - Parasitic Destruction Insects: Eclipse
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user manipulates the parasitic destruction insects to form a giant pillar that collapses into a wave that engulfs the enemy. The bugs then turn into a whirlpool that drag the opponent below ground before spouting out as a pillar that implodes.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

For S Ranks.

I use these techniques as a reference, because they can be used from around myself, or in front of me, or even from the ground, and then directed in any direction I want. Many bug techniques describe an airborne swarm which distracts a bit from the more direct clash I'm looking for, since I have to directed them upwards and then have them descend. They have their uses, of course, but generally speaking I prefer to have the bugs form near me, so that even in their inception stage, where they're just aggregating, they're already providing some defence. Of course these aren't the only techniques I use, just my preferred ones when I'm combating elemental ninjutsu, which is practically all the time.

There are some techniques that emerge from the ground near the opponent, or could emerge, like the pillar techniques

(Mushi Bashira no Jutsu) - Insect Pillar Technique
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will turn themselves into a pillar that will then be directed to strike the opponent before returning to their normal form.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

(Mushi Bashira no Jutsu) - Bug Pillar Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Defensive
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user summons many Kikaichū bugs to form a pillar that grows closer to the enemy and can strike them off balance. The bugs come from the ground but do not come from directly under the opponent.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame Clan.

Especially when I'm near my opponent, which is most of the time ( I try to force my opponent into close quarters attacks because that's where my style is most efficient, since I can dodge and evade much easier than if I were mid range ). These can stop my opponent or even throw them off balance if, in the sequence of their advance, they happen to step on the growing mass of bugs.

Though this direct clash method is not efficient, specially if we're talking about high ranks, like A and S. I employ double usages of the techniques I described, but sometimes I can but neutralize the techniques, I hardly get to overpower them. I don't like double usages because, despite having unlimited bugs, it becomes a bit unrealistic if I just keep sending massives S ranked waves of bugs towards my opponent. So what I really like to do is using the techniques that mention a certain "strength" to them, like the one we're doing now, the Grapple, or, my preferred:

(Kikaichu Kaku no Kagai) - Destruction Bug Aerial Assault
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user creates a cloud of bugs underneath the opponent lifting them up into the air and then many spheres of bugs will strike the opponent sending them crashing into the ground.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame Clan.

Which are low ranked techniques that mention, as an effect, lifting the opponent in the air. What I do is use these to empower my taijutsu, and help me dodge techniques. Most techniques used are easily dodged, this just serves to legalize what would otherwise be a freestyle dodge, not to mention that the combined effort of the swarm and my own muscles makes me move quite faster than I could with my own power alone. Especially in close quarters, the techniques are generally smaller, since they grow with distance, and many times they're directed outwards, and I can simply take the short path to jump past my opponent, or behind him, or near him, and those areas are usually out of range from the brunt of the technique. Dodging is better than fighting elemental ninjutsu with a skill that is elementally weak to it.

Another thing that I really like to do is employing the same principles to get faster speed and power in taijutsu. Here I actually use the Grapple Technique or just the generic Kikaichuu technique I talked about in the beginning of the post. This could actually be a nice idea for a CFS. Basically, I have swarms of bugs attach themselves to my elbows, hands, knees, etc. And then, as I move thema round, I have the swarms push in accordance with the motion. This creates faster moving and even stronger momentums in my attacks, since there's a combined effort of the swarms and myself. I specially like to fight normally for a while, to get my opponent accustomed with my speed, which is generally lower than most people, since no one stops at S-Class anymore xD, and then I switch to these, which would get my opponent by surprise. These are specially useful because they can be hidden underneath our baggy clothes, so my opponent won't even see the swarm of bugs aggregating around my body.

Those are basically it for Bug Manipulation. The techniques are made from aggregated bugs flying in tandem, and getting strength from each other, as guided by my chakra. Some create structures in mid air and shoot forth as they are, which are "Projectile" Based. Some create structures from the ground, which are "Pillar" based, most of which then spill forth as a wave, losing the solidity of the structure and gaining raw power through the weight of the swarm. There's the "Airborne" ones which are similar to the pillars but form above myself or the opponent, and then spill downwards, similar to the pillars. There are some variants that create different structures, like barriers or hold around my opponent, which I like to call the "Vortexes", like

(Kikaichū Tsumoji no Justu) - Destruction Bug Typhoon Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will use their destruction bugs to form a funnel that traps the victim, spining them around violently and then throws them away.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

These basically spread the bugs around, and then have them converge around the opponent. Some create a hold, a barrier, others take use of the actual motion to throw the opponent off, but they're generally the same. There are some variations, as is expected, but it would be a waste of time to go over them individually, since their usages, even the creative ones, are essentially the same.

I compiled a selection of techniques that do not fit the mould, and I'd prefer to focus on those, since those are the ones that differ from the other techniques in a functional and even mechanical level. Here are them:

Functional Differences:

(Jinteki Mayu no Justu) - Human Cocoon Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damge points: N/A
Description: The user will create a cocoon around themselves to either spy or hide themselves from the enemy. Note: Must be a bug user and use this technique in a forest for best use.

Main question I have is the nature of this cocoon. Is it an actual cocoon, is it made of bugs, chakra? Can this be used as a defence? What are it's properties, in regards to the elemental S&W, does it share the same as bugs, or is it stronger/weaker? Also, how fast can I do this? is it feasible in battle? Or should I require at least a few dozen seconds?

(Mushi Bunshin) - Bug Clone
Rank: C
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description:Creates a clone of the user out of bugs.
NOTE:Must be a bug user to use this jutsu.

This is a clone jutsu. I especially love the fact that it is made from the aggregation of bugs, which means the swarms can shift around opponents, projectiles or other solid attacks, and still reform around them, creating areas where it's solid and tangible and areas where the bugs are dynamic or even non-existent. This constant motion allows them to be extremely useful against taijutsu.

If I had any question would be on the independence of this clones. They're made of living creatures, so I would expect them to have a certain autonomy, but be mostly under my command. They can move around and support me even better than if I were to had total control, since the bugs are, after all, my partners. But they can't control other bugs, or use jutsu by themselves. I can use techniques through them, using them as source of bugs, so it is a way to insert a mass of bugs near my opponent for further manipulation, but I can never simply make them use techniques themselves.

(Mushi Yose) - Bug Summoning
Rank: C
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:N/A
Description:The Users creates a web of chakra when the place there hand on an object.Any bugs in the nearby area will come to this web. More bugs are obviously prealent in forested areas and grasslands than in deserts or lakes.
NOTE:Must be a bug user to use this jutsu.

This summons bugs. Here's my question, which bugs can I summon? There isn't really an atlas of the insect fauna of the world, though I would love to create something like that and submit, specially since we have a NW landmark system now. That would be really interesting. So, if we have no indication of the fauna of a terrain, what should we summon with this? Can I summon my own bugs (I'm sure I can, but there shouldn't really be a need for this, especially since I can do it automatically. This isn't time-space, afterall, this is more of a summoning call than a summoning technique.)

I'm assuming I can use this to call other bugs, specially my enemy bugs, but what is this about' is it pheromones, chakra? Is there a an irresistible pull, or are enemy bugs immune to this? Either way, this technique doesn't seem too useful, unless I metagame and just assume the existence of certain insects like spiders, flies, crickets, etc, and then take control over one of them with the Insect Communication technique, for covert missions.

(Mushi Kame no Jutsu) - Insect Jar Technique
Rank: B
Type: Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will use Kikaichū bugs living in the user's body as a shield by having them fly in a dome shape at high speed. It is similar to the Hyūga clan's Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin.
The dome is strong enough to destroy incoming attacks, but can be disrupted with sufficient explosive force.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

This is a pretty basic technique, and the only reason I put them here and not just put it with the other "Bug Manipulation" technique a "Vortex" type, spread and then concentrate into a Barrier, is because of the implications that this is similar to the Hyuuga Rotation. Now, that particular brand of techniques are special because they are neutral to all elemental chakra, stronger than raw chakra techniques, both in S&W clashes and genjutsu release. Does this technique have the same effect (not the genjutsu effect, of course), but the S&W boost?

(Hijutsu: Mushi Miyu) - Secret Technique: Insect Cocoon
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
description: After performing the required hand seals the user to increase the speed of insects' development. As the user's body is already a hive of sorts for the insects, the user will encase himself in an actual cocoon to further aid the insects. This is an extremely useful move for Aburame clan members, since their attacks mainly focus on the usage of bugs. However, using this in the midst of a battle can be potentially dangerous as it leaves the user static and vulnerable.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan and wait 1 turn for development of Bugs.

We already went over this technique. It's not that useful, though I see some possibilities for the concept of this technique applied to custom techniques, to allow us to describe small boosts in power in the custom technique, if we use it in combination with this one.

(Mushi Jamingu no Jutsu) – Wicked Insect Folk Tools Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user utilizes a large amount of their Kikaichū and has them spread over a wide area around the user. The bugs then emit a small amount of the their host's respective chakra that they usually feed on. This confuses sensor-type ninjas' chakra-sensing ability, as the insects' irregular distribution and large grouping of the bugs result in the creation of numerous 'false images', making it more difficult to distinguish the user's exact and actual location.
Note: Can only be used by a member of the Aburame clan.

This is a "Vortex" type technique, not actually spinning around, just spreading around. But it has an added function, which is this idea of emitting chakra signals from my bugs, creating false images for chakra sensors. Which is a really interesting concept for making some brands of genjutsu that don't work the same as normal genjutsu. I have a questions, these chakra signals are sent from myself, using the bugs as proxy, or am I signalling the bugs to send chakra signals, and they do it themselves. My chakra is their chakra, since we are in a strict symbiosis, but I want to know the exact emitter of the signals, me through them or them by my command.

Chakra Draining Techniques:

(Ninpo: Mushi Genjutsu) - Ninja Art: Insect Illusion Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will control their insects and send them underneath their opponent and then cover the target, sucking their chakra dry. Despite the name, this is not a Genjutsu.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan

(Kikaichu kasui no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Stream technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
description: The user will raise their arms to release a torrent of destruction bugs that combine into two spear like forms that spiral towards the target lifting them into the air, where they brutally feed on the targets chakra.
Note: Must be a Member of the Aburame clan.

(Hijutsu: Mushidama) - Secret Technique: Insect Sphere
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: By using the destruction bugs, members of the Aburame clan release their bugs into the air. Once the bugs sense an enemy presence, they will all gather on the enemy and cover him completely, and begin draining his chakra. This technique is very hard to avoid at short range.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

Both of these techniques are straight forward, except they specifically mention the absorption of chakra, but don't actually quantify it. I already asked about this in the beginning of my post. Are these technique used in combination with the first bug technique, or are these stand alone? How much chakra can I absorb from this? How can I use this, technically.

Also, the second technique also describes a "sensing" that the bugs possess, and is the one that prompt me to write what I wrote in the previous post. You said the bugs are just as blind as me in a mist or a smoke, but here they describe a sensing, which I associated with chakra sensing, since they feed on chakra, and the technique mentions a sense and then a descend to drain chakra. It makes sense that the bugs sense chakra, that's why they're with us, Aburame. They feel our chakra, and feed on our chakra. They are attracted by chakra, which is what prompts us to use our chakra to makes structures of it, which are followed and given structure by the bugs. Our chakra guides them, attracts them, signals them. So when they're in a mist or smoke, they're still better suited than us, because they sense the chakra, in addition to the physical senses that are just as blinded as ours. Isn't that right?

"Explosive" Techniques

(Kikaichu Kurumu Nami no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Engulfing Wave Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user manipulates the destruction bugs to form a giant pillar that then collapses into a wave that engulfs the enemy. The bugs then turn into a whirlpool dragging the enemy into the ground before turning into a pillar that emplodes. The bugs start off at short range.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

(Hijutsu: Mushi Tsukene) Secret Technique: Insect Root
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will send their insects that form roots and entangle the opponent. The insects will then explode causing damage to the target.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

(Kikaichū Dōmu no bakuhatsu no Jutsu ) - Destruction Bug Dome Explosion Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user will send a large swarm of destruction bugs towards the target that then surrounds them in a circle wall before then moving in and covering the enemy in a dome that then explodes upon the target.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.

( Kikaichū: Utsuro ) - Parasitic Destruction Insects: Hollow
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user manipulates the kikaichū to form a large airborne cloud that descends on the enemy. After the insects are on the ground around the enemy they all swarm on the enemy and quickly erupt into an explosion of insects.
Note: Must be a member of the aburame clan.

Now, the only question about this technique, is because they mention Implosions and Explosions, which are normally associated with energy, specially fire. Is this what they mean, there's such an intense release of energy from the aggregation of these bugs that they actually explode or implode like bombs? Or is this just a matter of speech describing an aggregation so strong that they crush, physically, any target they converge upon, or a release so strong and thick that they punch outwards any target in range? As in, not a fiery release of energy but a mock shockwave from the movement and solidity of tandem-flying swarms of bugs?

I ask this because there are some techniques that make stuff explode, even if they wouldn't exactly explode naturally, like many elements with specific customs that make them unstable and explode, or like Shadow Clone Explosion, where the dust-based clones explode like paper bombs. I was wondering if it's the same here, or what I described.

Other Bug Types:

Rinkaichu:

( Goku Hiden: Dokumuchi Doku ) - Very Hiden: Venomous Insect Venom
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60 (-10 per turn from poisoning)
Description: The user lands a series of hits on the opponent, poisoning them. The hits are aggravated by the nano-sized, venomous insects.
Note: Can only be used three times and must know Poisonous Nano Bugs Technique and only useable by Torune and Shikuro Aburame.

(Dokudokushi Suki Mushi no Jutsu) – Poisonous Nano Bugs Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user of this technique is capable of covering either limited parts or the entirity of their body with poisonous nano-sized insects. The user can subsequently infect the opponent with these bugs, causing an excruciatingly painful and almost certain fatal injury, unless the afflicted area is swiftly removed. These insects can only be transferred on to the victim's body by direct physical contact but only a mere touch from the user's skin is required, as the bugs can seemingly circumnavigate most clothing.
Note: Can only be performed twice.
Note: Can only be used by Torune and Shikuro Aburame.

These are nano-sized parasitic bugs that devour flesh with such a powerful cocktail of toxins and enzimes that they cause excruciating pain as they melt the organic matter out of their targets. They are deployed on contact, and can't be used with Bug Manipulation techniques, as they don't swarm in mid-air, they live inside organisms, either the host or the victim. These can only be used by Torune or Shikuro, and they can't use any other bug type.

Kidaichu

(Kidaichū Mushikui) Parasitic Giant Insect Bug Bite
Type: Offensive
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description:
Following an Aburame clan member placing a number of kidaichū onto the skin of an enemy, these insects immediately burrow into the victim's body and begin to devour its flesh and chakra. This process causes the insects to grow rapidly in size, until the host body is completely eaten away from the inside out. Its particularly effective against organic elements as well as close combat ninjas as the insects can be placed on the target with simple contact.
Note: Can only be used by Aburame bios, once every 2 turns

These can be used by any Aburame bios. They don't form swarms, they only act on contact. Essentially, these require a very constant and specific inpu of chakra, that only happens inside the host. When they're deployed on another person, they are unable to mimic the chakra signature and input, because they are oblivious to those, so the bugs turn on their new "host" and devour their flesh, growing humongous in a rapid-growth spur. It's pretty much "game over". Now, since Shino showed the usage of both Kidaichu and Kikaichu, it is assumed a normal aburame can carry both variants. I have some ideas for this technique, but I'd rather not reveal all my secrets.

On the same note, there are other bug types, that don't have a specific technique. Cannon, I mean. I usually refer to this page when I have any doubts about the bugs themselves.
There are chakra-sensing specialized bugs (Shoukaichu) , scent-sensing specialized bugs (Bikouchu). These don't mean Kikaichu are not chakra-sensing or scent-sensing. Those specialized bugs are just better at it. I intend to make custom bugs of myself. I already know I have to forfeit the Kikaichu if I do that. My only question would be about the kidaichu, would I still be able to use them if I change to custom bug, meaning they only replace the kikaichu, or would I also lose them? I'm assuming not, but it's best to ask

The Destruction Bug technique is a passive description technique. It does not allow you to control bugs passively, I would recommend posting this technique when you use the absorbing abilities, or any of the things mentioned in the technique itself (the grabbing portion), but only as a reference. "Using" this technique doesn't count as a move per turn, as it's simply a description of the bugs you are using and what's happening. If I haven't answered your question fully, or to your standards, you can tell me and/or elaborate so that I may fully answer your questions.

The Human Cocoon is very much like a normal cocoon you may see a bug (I'm specifically thinking Caterpillar) make. It has the same strengths and weaknesses as bug-based techniques, and it would take some time to form - consider it more of an RP technique.

For the bug clone, you have to keep the technique's rank in mind (and the weaknesses of bugs). Yes it's bugs, and yes they can fly around and reform... But only when in contact with solid C-rank or lower technique (D-rank or lower for the elements bugs are weak to), which includes freeform, the way in which I interpreted you intended to use this ability. You can use up to C-rank techniques from the clone as a source, though it would essentially end the clone. And yes, the clone is primarily under your control - the bugs are very simple-minded creatures, and can act very limitedly on their own.

Bug Summoning is essentially useless, unless you're tracking somebody. You create your web out of chakra, which replicates pheromones to draw in natural bugs from the environment (worms, ladybugs, etc.). You can then communicate with the bugs and essentially ask them if they've seen anyone go by recently. You can summon your own bugs with it, but the bugs would have to be in the field of battle, away from you, alive, and quite frankly I believe they can return to you without a technique. The technique also has no effect on an opponent's Aburame bugs - they're too closely intertwined with their host's chakra signature, which they are feeding on as they're being manipulated, and as such won't really care about that random chakra on the ground while under orders (if your opponent stops manipulating those specific bugs, yes they'll be drawn to it). You have no actual control over the bugs you "summon" (yes, it is more of a call).

The Insect Jar does not have a strength-weakness boost. The comparison to Rotation is merely the anecdote to how the technique itself was conceived (Shino copying Neji/Hinata's technique), as well as describing that it's not a static barrier, but rather a swirling vortex that surrounds you. In the case of Rotation, it is the advanced shape manipulation of the chakra that gives it its strength. To argue that this technique should share that strength/weakness boost on the grounds of Rotation is to argue that every Aburame technique which uses shapes should get the boost, which not only do we not see, but considering the weakness comes from the fact that they're living creatures and not simply chakra, it wouldn't be feasible.

For the Wicked Insect Folk Tools Technique, your bugs are the ones who emit your chakra on your command - they've already taken in enough chakra from you, now they just need to release it.

Chakra Draining: Oddly named, as technically any technique can drain chakra if used correctly. However, all of these techniques reference back to the description of the bugs, and felt the need to mention that they can absorb chakra, for some reason. There's no bonus for these techniques - they absorb just as simply as any other technique. As for the technique " Insect Sphere", you are taking what it says out of context. "Once the bugs sense an enemy presence" There is no reference to Chakra Sensory, and what's more, technically seeing someone is "sensing" them (if you look at the term as "to perceive with your senses", which makes the most sense). The "sense" it refers to is more akin to smelling the opponent, seeing them, etc.

Explosive Techniques: This is not a "true", fireball-esque explosion - simply the bugs flying away from each other quickly (or "expanding" outwards - explosion), or flying in towards a singular point, implosion. So it is the mock shock wave you mentioned.

As for the Kaidachu and custom bugs, I believe you can keep them... As they themselves are a separate breed, it's probably fine. if issues come up later regarding that, I'll take the heat.

Now, I know I took a long time to get here. So, I'm going to ask if you have any final questions or things you wanted to talk about before we move on to the last few.

(Kikaichu Haku no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Fade Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will call forth destruction bugs from all around him to then engulf the enemy in a small barrier that implodes on them.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame Clan.
Simple. Send out bugs, surrounds the opponent, the bugs come together quickly in an implosion to end your opponent. Not much to it.
(Kikaichu Sanagi no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Pupa Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will have their insects form a tornado that traps the opponent and then the user will move into the tornado and command some more bugs to crush into the opponent.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.
This is a bit of a strange one. It uses two different "swarms" of bugs. The first swarm surrounds your opponent and then forms a tall tornado, for both harming your opponent (like dragging sand paper across their body), as well as to form a sort of barrier to keep them still. Then, you step into the tornado (your bugs knowing not to harm you) and have a second wave of bugs fly into the tornado to crush the opponent, creating a type of implosion.
(Tsumu Hensei no Jutsu) - Spindle Formation Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user has his bugs attack the target in a spiraling motion to confuse the target.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.
So, a few smaller swarms of bugs are sent out, spiraling in different rotational directions, being sent in different directions so as to confuse your opponent. Honestly, it's pretty simple.
(Hijutsu: Mushimuma) - Secret Technique: Insect Bog
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user sends their insects to encase the opponent from underneath them, the insects then lift the opponent into the air and crushes them.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.
Again, simple. So, it looks like you almost send your bugs underground to your opponent's location, and then have them erupt upwards, carrying your opponent into the air and surrounding him. From there, it resembles Gaara's Sand Coffin technique. It's surrounded your opponent with bugs, and then you close your hand into a fist to cause the bugs to implode and crush your opponent.
(Kikaichu Hisame no Jutsu) -Destruction Bug Hail Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will release thousands of destruction bugs from his body into the air. On their Command, the insects attack the opponent in 5 waves. The insects turn coalesce into a large cloud and rain down on the opponent causing tremendous damage.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.
I have no idea what the 5 waves means... I watched two videos where this technique was used, and both times were identical. Basically, you send bugs into the air where they form "clouds". The bugs then come close to each other to form small balls of "hail", which fly down and harm your opponent. At the end of the technique, you can have all the remaining bugs fall at once, creating a very large piece of "hail" or, more accurately, a meteor.
(Kikaichū Kumo no Jutsu) - Destruction Bug Cloud Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user will cause a large amount of destruction bugs to swarm around the target creating a thick barrier that then swallows the target into a whirlpool of destruction bugs that drive the enemy into the ground.
Note: Must be a member of the Aburame clan.
Very simple. Surround your opponent with bugs, have them spiral around like a whirlpool, and then use the whirlpool to drive them into the ground.

Any questions about those techniques?

No questions about any of those techniques, you explained everything and answered all my questions very clearly :)

The only question that remains is the Chakra Sensing ability of the bugs. You say that I'm taking the description out of the context, and I agree, even down to the fact that "sensing" doesn't necessarily refer to chakra sensei, all senses can be used to "sense" the world. But the bugs have chakra sensing abilities not just from that technique, but from how the entire clan's techniques work. They are attracted to your own chakra, and they can sense it seeping out of your body. When you make them do some action or a construct, you signal them with chakra, or make the construct with your chakra ( a sort of sketch / draw ), and your bugs follow it, forming the constructs with their bodies as they overlap with the chakra (while they're eating it).

You could say they sense chakra, but just the chakra of the host, since that's what they were bred with, but I don't think it's so.

One of the techniques, the Kidaichu, start devouring my opponent's flesh because they can sense the chakra of their host is foreign. You keep the chakra of your body at a certain balance, which the opponent has no idea of, and when they contact the opponent, he has no way of knowing how to make the same chakra modulation, and the bugs go haywire. It's in the wiki description.
Another bug type can burrow into the ground and utilize an amplified chakra sensing to locate far away chakra signatures.

And I find it odd that an organism that feeds on chakra does not have the sensing mechanism to know where it is.

Other questions:

I've been reading the wiki page, and they mention two things. The first, Aburame bugs are immune to poison, is that true to all poisons? What are the limitations of that?
The second, they're immune to Genjutsu, due to their nervous system. Does that remain true?

Thirdly, the same page refers that the bugs constantly reproduce inside the host body in order to keep the numbers of the colony replenished. So that's a confirmation of what you said already lol. Even mentions the Insect Cocoon technique to replenish the bugs even further!

Fourth! Almost forgot, there's also something there that says the chakra the bugs drain from the opponent can be given to other people, which I'd include the user himself (or me). Can this be done? How much chakra can we distribute? All that the bugs drain? A portion? And how do we get it back? does it get diffused through the swarm, or do we have the call the bugs back and have them contact with our body, or other people's body? Do we need to post a technique for that?

EDIT: I have another question. I was sparring with a friend of mine and I was using multiple Aburame techniques at once. And he told me I can't use multiple techniques of anything at once. Is this true? Can I only make the bugs do one thing? I know from the manga that Shino would separate his swarm and launch hidden attacks all over the place, sending part of the swarm to circumvent the opponent while keeping the front pressured with other attacks. Those are simultaneous manipulations, right?

And I've seen people using taijutsu with ninjutsu or genjutsu, at the same time. That's also permitted, right, or two Water jutsu at the same time? The only thing we can't do is use two or more different elemental nature techniques at the same time without Ying and Yang.

If the bugs could sense chakra, the Aburame wouldn't require a Female Bug planted on someone to track them. The bugs know your chakra because they have been feeding off of it literally their entire lives (the bugs have short life spans). As a final word on this "debate" (unless you wish to take this up with my superiors, as I personally have taken it up with a few of my colleagues [other mods]), the bugs cannot sense chakra in this RP.

As for your examples of the other bugs in the chakra sensing debate:
Kidaichu: They do not begin feeding on a target's flesh when they are fed a different chakra, but a different amount of chakra. It's like a plant - if you underwater it, and it dies, and if you overwater it, it dies. Except instead of dying, the bug simply eats the flesh of the host, and instead of water, it's chakra. The Kidaichu are also a lot more sensitive than a plant, meaning that there's very little room for error. I don't see how this advocates the Kikaichu's ability to sensei chakra at all - if anything, it merely demonstrates amazing chakra control by the Aburame.
Shokaichu: Worm-like bugs that use the ground as a medium for sensing chakra on the surface. These bugs do not exist in the RP, and they give reasonable ground for you to say that some custom bug you make can sense chakra, but not the Kikaichu.

The Aburame bugs are immune to toxic effects of poison. This means that if they are exposed to toxic substances, they will not feel the adverse side-effects. Not that it's very useful in the RP, as a cloud of toxic gas can still suffocate the bugs, a wave of toxic liquid can drown them, or kill by impact, and any puppet-based technique that would induce poison are usually induced via stabs or slashes, which would only affect a few of the individual bugs anyway. If you're asking limitations of poisons they are immune to, nothing will really affect them if it gets in their system - however, the application of poison (clouds, waves, poison-laced weapons, etc.) will still easily kill them like any other technique.

The bugs have too simple a nervous system to be affected by genjutsu. Even if they weren't immune, the only kind that would affect them are wide-scale illusions.

I don't know what you want me to say about your third point.

I really need to see that technique updated. For now I'd like to say that maybe half of what they eat (part of the chakra they eat is to live) can be transferred, and we can say that it's diffused through the swarm, which means that any portion of the bugs that are even near the opponent, but may not be touching directly can come back to you to give some chakra.

You can't use bug techniques at the same time as each other. While I'm at it, who said you can use two water techniques at the same time as each other? Technique that do and don't require chakra may be used in tandem, but to use two technique that have a chakra cost you require a clone of some kind. That's just how our RP works.

Thank you, you answered everything. It's a shame to see the chakra-sensing abilities go away (then again, it's not like I actually had them in the first place ). Thank you for being my teacher.
