you guys are wasting your time talking about who is stronger than the other. unless its been shown in the manga you have no proof of anything. if the creator wanted he could make Sakura kill Madara take his sharingan and rennigan and destroy anyone an everyone who tries to step to her. Itachi is not over rated it's stupid to say he is when clearly hes proven what hes capable of. Minato is definitely not over rated considering he was involved in birthing someone as beastly as Naruto. Plus Minato is a straight up nightmaric biblical beast. he was taught by Jirayia which come on is a monster (in a good way). No ones really over rated in the show. It's stupid to say oh so an so is over rated. like who decides this? you? no you don't so shut up and eat your vegetables I decide whos over rated and i say no one. Golly gee wilikers the amount of stupid people on narutobase just disgust me. Now to end my rant here id like to say Naruto is a great show been watching since the beginning i didnt just jump on when it became main stream where as i bet most the people on this thread did. Deal with it nagato fans so true lol. they still think nagato can win agaisnt itachi although it was overemphasized in the manga that itachi is far beyond nagato lol. Regardless on the topic I think Minato, and jiraya are the most overrated characters in the entire series. Shortly after comes kakashi. Jiraya may be strong but sorry i dont see how he somehow still wins polls like itachi vs jiraya or jiraya vs madara uchiha or jiraya vs orochimaru although it was stated who already won in their fight in the timeskip. Minato is obviously overrated because all he has shown is a rasengan, hirashin no jutsu, death god seal and somehowhs ie the strongest shinobi of all time to his fans. Kakashi cause they think his kamui is a one shot kill lol. Tbh dude saying itachi beating madara uchiha is overrating itachi is sort of an injustice to itachi..... in my opinion if madara uchiha underestimates itachi id bet itachi could pull off a victory. Hell even if madara fought all out i still see itachi somehow winning. with his intellect the fight would be so close there is no "true" winner. Anyways i like ur idealogy and i saw people trash talking u in other threads because u were truthful about their favorite characters lol. + rep to me bro

What we have in the manga is the basis for our Judgement.

We have seen over and over that Itachi outsmarts his opponents, keeps his head cool and defeats his opponents (He died on purpose vs Sasuke, that was his master plan to "fix" the Uchiha problem with the Hidden Leave). Itachi has never been defeated in the manga. I don't see him being "Hyped up" unless people claim he is stronger than SO6P and Madara Uchiha.

About Minato you are right, we don't have enough fights with him to make accurate judgements, so the "hype" about him might be unjustified, we can't tell for sure untill we see more of him, but from what we have seen, he has outplayed both Madara and Raikage and sealed the 9-tails.

haha, just saying that Itachi and Minato are overrated doesn't automatically make them overrated. The entire Naruto series has demonstrated over and over again in many examples how powerful Itachi and Minato are.
Now I really really hate to say this... because I'm a huge... I mean huge... Gai fan. But unfortunately, I do believe he is overrated. With or without the 8 gates, I just can't get over the limitations of taijutsu in a universe with crazy/bizarre/video-game-cheat-code ninjutsu, tailed beasts, genjutsu, crazy eye techniques, etc. etc.

minato (besides the new naruto) is the fastest ninja alive/dead he actully hit tobi which no one besides naruto has been able to do sealed the 9 tails and still had charka to vist naruto again after he was dead. yes we have only seen a few things from him but its clear he was the strongest. not phisacal but all around

1) MINATO: he wins all fights,no matter how narrow possibilities he has he always in some way manages to pull the win and the combo is:Kunai+FTG+Rasengan to the head/slith throat gg,if the enemy is stronger he DRS for the draw...all this is simply"fact" it has been stated in the manga that he is unsurpassable(by kishimoto himself),altough the same Kishimoto then afterwards rights that Naruto has surpassed him...deal with it it's fact do you want to contraddict the writer of the show???...it must count for something if he was called the yellow flash right???

2) Kakashi:start of fight Kamui to the head gg,while in the manga it has never been shown to be a one shotting move
