Kenpachi has raw power... but that's not going to help him much when he's outclassed in everything else by Shunsui.
- unless he's a perceptive as Starrk (highly unlikely) than he's going to have a lot of trouble with just Shunsui's shikai.

Lol what you should just stick to naruto kenpachi is the second strongest soul reaper in ss that's why central 46 or whatever fear him..kenpachi would crush kyoraku shikai an he just learned the name of his sword meaning overkill on kyoraku...but as for second strongest soul reaper after Yamamoto ill go with the bald guy in zero squad.

So my opinion prevents me from responding to this? Yeah, with absolutely no explanation... Zaraki would easily win..
That's not to say he can't surpass Shunsui... but simply beginning to learn about Shikai doesn't make up for everything.

The two categories Zaraki was ahead of Shunsui in: offense (10 points) and physical strength(30 points).
Zaraki's trailing behind by a total of 140 points and even having a shikai is not the equivalent to a mastered bankai.
Until we see the power of his shikai let's stick to what we've actually seen so far...

With that in mind, the second strongest shinigami is likely one of them.

Yea another aizen someone who took down everybody in SS..an just learning his shikai means a lot I kno it will be strong an right after his training he passed kyoraku in power..
Shunsui... Zaraki may have more strength but that is definitely not enough to defeat some one who has superior intellect, speed, Kido and battle stratagem. Zaraki wouldnt be able to overwhelm someone as strong as Shunsui. Shunsui even said Zaraki was weak when he asked C46 to train him and no good as he is. If you read the chapter as well you will see Shunsui is actually stronger than the Quincy he could have killed the old guy if he had not used Vollstandig. If he hadnt the fight would have ended quicker than Zarakis. Even when Half blind Shunsui still blitzed the Old Man Quincy.
Shunsui for sure.... Zaraki may be a threat but nothing Shunsui or the other captains cant handle.

Yea zaraki used to be weak now he is on a hole new level with a shikai..an Zaraki has speed an probly has gotten faster after the training an hes super tough an has great sword fighting skills..o an trust me he can overwhelm shunsui..lol what shunsui lost an he was useing shikai while kenpachi killed three Quincy without a problem an did not use shikai what does that say? An now he is like what mabey 4 times stronger than what he used to be an has a shikai an you gone tell me kyoraku is stronger yea right.
Unohana was the oldest captain next to Yamamoto an kenpachi is stronger than her now an killed her with out any sword help just raw power an you gone say he is nothing that shunsui or the other captains can't handle lol stop playing

Unohana had no intention of killing him and killed him so many times its not funny. Unohana wanted to die by his hands and his hands only. Once she had got him to his former strength she had accepted defeat and passed on the name of Kenpachi the right way.
With the 3 quincy he fought he was lucky because some of their abilities didnt work on him because he went deaf after the Roar and the next quincies ability had to do with hearing and he couldnt hear the Quincy. The last one was the hardest because he had to fight himself and all he had to do was take off his eye patch because the quincy took his form without it meaning he was weaker. The first quincies had weak abilities.
Ill stick by what I am saying plus Zaraki cant keep up with Shunsuis shikai it is so versatile it isnt even funny and you will need speed and intellect two things Zaraki dont have. With Shunsuis ruthless strategies Zaraki definitely cant keep up. Iro oni is so hax, zaraki would get killed with one strong slash. Shunsui would be stronger.... he attacks from the bottom, he can attack from the shadows and at Close quarters he has iro oni, also when he attacks from the top he is stronger regardless of the opponent meaning he would be stronger than Zaraki. Not to mention he has Bushougoma which disorientates the opponent leaving them full of openings. Shunsui is the master of deception and feints Zaraki is a brute who only relies on strength.
He is more of an assassin than Soi fon

And sorry I never answered this question but Shunsui out-classed the Old man Quincy very early on. OMQ (Old man quincy) tried to rush Shunsui and catch him off guard, Shunsui then dodged and hopped up kicking him in the process then knocked the OMQ down and left him vulnerable and would have killed him then and there by slicing him in 2 because he was left wide open (He made it look effortless and so easy)..... if OMQ didnt use Vollstandig (Quincies last resort strongest technique equivalent to Bankai) then he would be in two halves. And even when OMQ used Vollstandig he only shot Shunsui in the eye which he should have really killed him seeing as it is their strongest form but couldnt. But even that Vollstandig didnt do much to Shunsui he just laughed it off saying "Yeah this is bad", and then after that while half blind still kicked the OMQ ass by out blitzing him meaning he has better speed than the OMQ even when half blind. The only reason he was defeated was because his father figure and sensei died in a horrific manner. And even those 4 shots the Quincy gave him didnt maim him as we saw that Shunsui was walking around as fit as a fiddle after the battle. Shunsui out-classed the OMQ in every feasible way.

Shunsui also didnt use any of his techniques (Bushogoma, Taka oni, Iro oni, Kage Oni) and as far as I know his shikai doesnt boost any of his base stats which means that he fought the OMQ with his base strength and speed, the same as Zaraki.

Simply knowing the name of his shika is not synonymous with knowing how to completely utilize it.
Zaraki's going to have to come to terms with his sword and then, learn the techniques of his shikai.
It's not like one just picks up their shikai and suddenly has it mastered.

Yea an his former self was stronger than unohana do you not read the manga..an like I said he beat three quinces while kyoraku struggled to beat one an he never even beat him.
Shunsui shikai to versatile lol what just how he found out how tosens worked he will figure out how shunsui works..zaraki has speed he's not straight up stupid his new found powers put him at a hole new level..lol look at how you sound lol killed with one slash when HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ONE SLASH TAKE HIM DOWN UN NEVER!!!..an zaraki spiritual pressure will just push all his shikai techniques to the side anyway now he can let out even more then usually..lol he gone just up explaining the techs to zaraki anyway don't matter zaraki will catch on anyway lol
Kenpachi is just a monster with even more power than ever befor..kyoraku an ukitake acted scared of unohana because they kno her true self an now kenpachi is even more dangerous then she ever was..kyoraku can fight back but end the end he will lose end of story...

He still lost thoe an his shikai abilities wer useless against that Quincy cuz he was just like stark with his guns kyoraku has a hard time getting close..but yea he lost to one Quincy while kenpachi beat three with just his raw power no shikai or nothing.

Lol that OMQ would have been defeated in his first moments and you know it. The 3 quincy zaraki fought were fodder. Zaraki defeated the first because he could only Roar which made zaraki DEAF, the second could talk really fast but zaraki couldnt HEAR him so slashed him meaning his ability needed Zaraki to hear him but because he was deaf it was negated (I believe I have to explain everything to you because it is not getting through) and the third one he had to defeat HIMSELF and all he had to do was RELEASE his eyepatch so he could be stronger than himself. Sorry but that is luck in its purest form. I really have to ask you if you read the manga, then you would know that Shunsui has more skill and versatility than Zaraki who only has strength.
Shunsui lost because of the pure fact that Yama (Basically his father) died and that is that..... other than that he showed he was superior to the Quincy who is without a doubt stronger than the 3 fodder Zaraki fought.
One slash from Iro oni will kill him if the right colour is called think about it.... learn about Shunsuis games then think about how Zaraki would put up against them. Kage oni attacks from the shadows, Taka oni is whoever attacks from the top is ALWAYS stronger, Iro Oni whoever slashes the colour called wins the more you have of a colour the more damage and risk regardless of strength of skin or anything (Shunsui would still be able to slash Zaraki without it), and Bushogoma which disorientates the enemy allowing Shunsui to attack from any angle i.e from the shadows from the top or bust through Zaraki also wont be able to figure it out because of its originality. You cant say Zaraki will definitely be faster because he learnt Shikai he doesnt even know how to use shunpo or Kido he just uses his normal ability. Lol Zaraki reiatsu crushing Shunsui? That is crazy plus Shunsuis ability negates that power all together once you enter Katen Kyokotsus domain you have to obey the rules no matter what.
Tosens ability was easy to figure out he couldnt hear or see it was all physical so instead just waited it wasnt rocket science.... but Shunsuis game require an actual brain to figure out how the games work you need to visualise and analyse and it took a lot of analysing from Stark...... I doubt Zaraki is as smart as Stark actually I am 100% sure.
Sure Zaraki will be a powerhouse after gaining Shikai but still nothing the captains cant handle. Shunsui is a smart person he will have his eye on Zaraki and will end his life if need be. Shunsui is on of the best swordsmen in SS and is ambidextrous meaning more trouble for Zaraki, Shunsui can switch blades and strength of his attacks also constantly changing the speed of his strikes catching his opponents off guard.

After Yama-jii died, Unohana became the strongest, and after Unohana 'unshackled' Zaraki Kenpachi, he is now the strongest(and would still be the strongest even if Unohana survived).:scorps:

He beat three with just his regular self no shikai..what if kyoraku just fought without shikai he would have got raped by the guy with the gun or the three that fought kenpachi..shunsui can be more skilled an stuff but in the end he will be over powered..not only does he have raw power he has great swordsmen ship ur not going to out sword fight kenpachi definitely not now after the training unless ur just super strong..
He lost cuz someone else died..anyway he still was struggling thoe with that one Quincy while kenpachi beat his with out a problem..an I bet that one Quincy that kyoraku was fighting would not beat the three kenpachi fought.. they won't fodder just won't strong enough to beat kenpachi.
At the moment one slash will not kill kenpachi he is to tough..stark called white one of the colors kyoraku had the most of an when he cut kyoraku he did not go down so what makes you think kenpachi will go do..the fact that you would even say he will fall from one slash is an insult..attacking from the shadows will do what to kenpachi he will catch on to it..any skip all that cuz it don't matter to kenpachi..:lol the fact that you have the nerve to say he will cut kenpachi without the help of his shikai makes not want to post anymore don't you ever say that kenpachi swordsman ship is way to good unohana is the best at sword fighting an she could not even beat kenpachi when he was a kid how the hell do you expect kyoraku to ever cut him? Lol tosen bankai is way more tougher than kyoraku shikai..you can't see or hear or feel reiatsu..do you kno how hard it is to react as soon as a sword touch you at the speed tosen swings it the fact that kenpachi could do it Tosen called him a monster..correction stark did not have to analyze nothing kyoraku explain everything to him.kenpachi will figure it out its not that hard as you think it is.
Zaraki is a super power house with out his shikai he is STRONGER THAN UNOHANA that's why she said befor dieing most of his fights now will be very easy..no captain in ss has a chance at beating him now..lol Yamamoto one of my fave by the way stop teaching him after one day out of fear of him becoming to strong lol just one day an you gone tell me kyoraku in his shikai form can beat him WOW.
1. Kenpachi Zaraki's Zanpakuto is always in it's Shikai form (like Ichigo Kurosaki)..
2. Kenpachi faced Quincy that didn't affect him, plus he didn't have any Bankai for them to steal..
3. Shunsui is clearly the strongest Soul Reaper after Yamamoto (Zero Division not counted)
