When Hiruzen got his "hype" who were the people hailed being as the Best Shinobi? Not Hiruzen.. Not the Yondaime.. The first 2 Hokage.

Notice that those 2 were still being hailed as the best.. while Hiruzen's hype had something to do with the past.

What technique could Hiruzen possibly have that can match wood style+senjutsu? Or any of Hashirama's other techniques? All Hiruzen could gain from being younger is more stamina and somewhat physically stronger.

Madara was well informed of the outside world thanks to Zetsu. How do you think he knew about Obito being mortally wounded? Or the yellow flash? He obviously kept his eyes on conflicts. Zetsu must have given him reports of a guy who supposedly "surpassed" Hashirama. Hiruzen was an old man by the time Madara died. Madara must have almost certainly been aware of Hiruzen's prime.

Well Zetsu knew of Minato and i doubt they would keep something like that a secret from Madara.
They didnt know his real name but they knew him by his nickname "Konoha's Yellow Flash"
